This was the first album of theirs I bought/got to know. It blew me away in such great/fun directions - but as I've explored more of material/history, I've been equally, if not more impressed. And yes: RIP, Weatherall.
some of the best electronic music around, always forward thinking, sadly never got the opportunity to see mr. weatherall in the flesh, what i would do to have been able to see him play a set during the early days of belfasts clubbing scene in sugar sweet or the first shine nights, RIP to an absolute hero
Agree with @moebiusSound Very different ethos/artistic trajectory, IMO. Hot Chip are sharp producers/songwriters in their own right. As with most musicians/bands... I may not love 'everything'... but what I DO, I find very inspiring. 🙂
I care for myself through a daily dose of swordsmanship. My respect for the trivial nature of this swordsmen, is ZERO. Come out Lord Sabre! We have met once and you let me in. Now we need to engage.
Anybody else notice how there's two completely different songs that go by this name and appear on this album for some reason? I have to say I do sort of prefer the other version of this tune, the more punky one with the screaming synth at the beginning.
@@jonathanharvey2156 ok yeah I'm glad we're talking about this. I've been listening to the spotify version which I'm assuming it uses the UK version. Really interesting theres two dif versions, wonder why?

Yep, just checked Discogs and this version is on the European version of the album, while the shorter version is on the UK version of the album!
