I think it'd be cool if you did a retrospective video on all of HWU's add-on content before HWU2 comes out, I absolutely love the base game but hated all of the add-ons and regretted buying the deluxe edition, didn't go for the Season 3 pass at all... I would love to know your thoughts and perspective on the matter
If I'm correct, most if not all the cars shown in this trailer are Hot Wheels Originals, which is good as one of the biggest criticisms the first game had was the over abundance of licensed cars(mostly cause you couldn't customize them without modding the games code). Also the jump boosters remind me of the Wave Rippers from HW35,(even more fitting as the Deora II is seen in the trailer pulling it off along side the others) or if your really old school you could say Speed Racer/Mach Go Go.
Man, I started playing the first one a month ago and I have to say that it's one of the best racing games I have ever played. They made every vehicle feel different and it's just fun to try out different styles on different tracks (which there are like 50+ of). And there's also community content and free cars added later. Looking forward to the sequel!

The website has confirmed lots more information on this sequel: There will be 5 environments (and the track room) in the game. The one shown in the trailer is Backyard (1), the others are 2: A 2 Floor indoor Arcade 3: A Wild West Themed Mini Golf course area 4: A Gas station/Diner 5: A Dinosaur Museum. The environments terrain will affect your car more (So polished surfaces will make you go faster, while rough Surfaces will probably slow you down. Over 130 vehicles at launch (first game only had over 60 at launch) and you can change their performance to better suit your playstyle. New Gamemodes include: Elimination Grab the Gears (Online Only) Demo Derby (Online Only) Drift Master Waypoints New Campaign which might actually have a story to it (very little is known about it) Livery Editor and Track Editor return, Custom Made Tracks are now shared Cross platform. Overall Game is looking very promising and a major improvement from the first game.
It's exciting to see the Way 2 Fast & Splittin' Image II in the game. I hope that more of the discontinued models such as the Shadow Jet Sol Aire CX-4 & RADAR Ranger make it into the game.
If there’s one car I want to see here please I beg the people making this game please add the super van,bully goat,or 8-crate those are my top favorite fantasy models (also hollow back but that was already added in the first hot wheels unleashed)
I loved the first Hot Wheels: Unleashed, can’t wait to see what else you guys will bring to the table! MS-T Suzuka and Maelstrom returning is a plus. Hopefully we will get Slingshot, Krazy 8s, Side Draft, and Sho-Stopper along with others.
Well I managed to conquer Hot Wheels City & Completed the racing seasons and had the unleashed edition of the Bone Shaker and now its time to go Turbocharged.
I do liike that the monster trucks are now base game. I also love that we get bikes and atv's as well. Hopefully we get transport trucks as well later down the line
Looks awesome, but one problem. The first game has only been out for a year and a half, and there's already a sequel???!!! Why not just update the first game instead? There's no way I just spent a lot of money on DLCs on the first game just for the first game to be abandoned after a couple of months just to make a quick sequel, which is basically just an overpriced expansion. The only way im getting this is if they: - Allow the DLCs purchased from the first game to be transferred over or allow the user to download the purchased cars / modules for free - Have AI race on custom tracks in single-player - Have a battle race mode that plays like HW: BEAT THAT! - Tone down the loot crates / pay to win mechanics - Allow tracks created on the first game to be playable on the sequel - Have licensed music instead of generic royalty free music that gets old and repetitive real quick to the point I get a headache - A tutorial that goes fully in depth on the entire track builder options and settings - A discount on those who pre-ordered the first game - Fix that super annoying, soul crushing track builder bug that prevents you from place down any track pieces and requires you to start over from scratch to fix it If the sequel contains some of that especially the first request, then I'll buy it.

The dodge shown partway through the trailer really brings to mind Hot Wheels Velocity X, I kinda hope this sequel also borrows some other elements from that and other hot wheels games, such as doing crazy stunts in order to increase boost, rather than just drifting to gain boost. On top of that, the dodge mechanic in Velocity X when combined with the drift really helped with super tight turns, so it would be cool if the sequel took advantage of that and had areas where dodges need to be used to make fast paced turns.

As someone who played a TON of the first one I was wondering what Milestone could bring to the table with the second one, and when the trailer started I was a bit sceptical but wow, I kept going "OMG" with every new mechanic and reveal, so much hype! Also, I hope the campaign is a bit longer this time around, or at least there are some new campaigns coming as DLC in the future (I don't mind new DLC if there's a smaller campaign that accompanies it)!
I really enjoyed the first one, and this sequel looks great. An expansion of acceleracers realms would be great for Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged.
i don't think they'll do actual realms, but they could make some environments similar to them but still stick with realistic settings. they could make a water park and botanical garden maps for water and swamp realms.
I’m glad to see some more old-school HW castings Splittin Image 2 and Way 2 Fast making an appearance, maybe we even get to see more classics. I also hope that we will see some more of Ryu Asada’s designs like the McLaren F1 and the Honda Civic Type R. One of the biggest gripes I had with original game was the overabundance of Character cars (TBH I hate character cars) so I hope this game will have better emphasis on HW originals and Real-Life cars because those are what I love about Hot Wheels.
I haven’t been into racing games in a long time, but when I discovered the previous Hot Wheels Unleashed game, I was instantly hooked. Now I’m really looking forward to the sequel!!
I always wanted a garden environment in the first game and I’m glad to see it here. Makes me wonder what others are in this. I kinda hope they add more options for going off road because it’s very hard to see where you’re meant to go with just traffic cones (Especially in the Stop Motion Studio). I’d suggest adding signposts or simply guard rails.
I actually thought only having cones when off roading actually added to the whole idea of “your racing small cars in your own world” as that is reality when most kids play with hot wheels they use their own environment as their track so there’s not definitive path Although I do see your gripe.Personally I would add a setting that makes it so if you want a more obvious way of knowing where to go when your off the track you’ll have like arrows or signs that pop up to tell you where just for those who need it

This looks incredibly promising. I loved the first and played it a ton, but it did have first game syndrome. The air dash mechanics and Bikes look to be a ton of fun. That said here’s a small list of things I hope to see in this. Bear in mind this is my opinion and coming from a guy who played the switch version of unleashed. 1: improved drifting: the original controlled fine for the most part, but drifting was a bit finicky at times as in recent playing it would sometimes activate unintentionally. 2. A means to flush the track to the terrain in track builder: building tracks is fun until you work with sloped terrain on switch. For example many times I tried to make a track under the stairs in the bat cave where there’s a narrow path but making the track climb the slope is very tricky to do. 3. A means to join online lobbies that are dedicated to custom tracks or premised ones: seems self explanatory. 4: toggle stickers in vinyl editor to be exact angles. Rotating stickers to a perfect 90 degrees or so can be a chore to do in getting the angle if it can be done I’d appreciate it. Other than that I’m looking forward to what cars join the roster (BF5 saber is the only one on my hopes) Good luck Milestone with this game!
For how much drifting played a part in the first game, I’m surprised the Drift King wasn’t added. It’s been my favorite car since I was a kid. Here’s hoping it’s added in the new installment
MAN I wasn't expecting a sequel! The first one was really good, but also a raw framework for what Hotwheels could build from. So the fact it's getting that chance is really exciting! LOVE the Speed Racer mechanics!
I used to double jump my Hot Wheels cars all the time as a kid, especially with my cousin. This game's gonna blow Unleashed 1 out of the water. Keep up the great work, guys!
Cant wait! Once we jumped out the window in the backyard brings me back to 1998 hw stunt track driver on pc I used to play alot on my favorite track the sandbox . Also overall it’s motorstorm (hot wheels edition).

The first game was a boatload of fun, so I'm really hoping the second installment will be double the amount of fun, especially with the jumping and sideswiping! And with it releasing on my birthday, consider it triple!
Unlocked all achievements on the first one. Cant wait for this one too! I hope something is done to nerf or remove boost flying. It turned multiplayer into a rocket league flight training camp instead of a car racing game and made me abandon mp on the first one...
it would be epic if the side ways slam had a forward spin, break check and air slam version as well, if you make the slam a directional input, forward Slam sends your car into a spin and uses a boost but can break though someone doing a break check, backward slam on the ground would be a break check where you get a boost from the checked car, and backward slam in the air uses the second jump to slam down on top of a car. Could be crazy if added
I'm interested to see how the new dodge mechanic plays out, I've always wanted to see something like that done in a racing game... it also looks like they're doing an off-road system where some cars with off-road tires will perform better in sand and such, it's also lovely to see WR/AR cars prominently featured in the promo art, Mattel is finally starting to understand that part of the fanbase lol P.S. I have that exact release of Splitin' Image II! I love the Sharkbite Racers 5-pack...

Amazing! Please keep the ability to customize your house and maybe now your garden(?). Hotwheels Unleashed is more fun to me than any other racing game since Forza Horizon (imo its getting a bit stale now). I like how you've added bikes, outdoors, and monster trucks! This is going to be sweet!!
Probably sounds silly, but I hope the second part allows me to change the volumes of sound effect and machine sounds individually. Not only was it loud, but I'd like to be able to get my adrenaline rush from the OST by turning that up!
Yay motorcycles! And I don't have to worry about my rider falling off. Now if only this had watercraft like boats and jet skis it'd be the perfect all in one racer for me. Maybe if we get Unleashed 3.

Splittin Image 2 is one of my favorite original hot wheels cars! I used it in Turbo racing. I also love that its using the black/red one I have!

I always wanted a garden environment in the first game and I’m glad to see it here. Makes me wonder what others are in this. I kinda hope they add more options for going off road because it’s very hard to see where you’re meant to go with just traffic cones (Especially in the Stop Motion Studio). I’d suggest adding signposts or simply guard rails.
Another thing. I hope we can play this offline without any issues. Just something to benefit the Switch version.
I actually thought only having cones when off roading actually added to the whole idea of “your racing small cars in your own world” as that is reality when most kids play with hot wheels they use their own environment as their track so there’s not definitive path Although I do see your gripe.Personally I would add a setting that makes it so if you want a more obvious way of knowing where to go when your off the track you’ll have like arrows or signs that pop up to tell you where just for those who need it
Glowing floor spots pointing the way would help.

This looks incredibly promising. I loved the first and played it a ton, but it did have first game syndrome. The air dash mechanics and Bikes look to be a ton of fun. That said here’s a small list of things I hope to see in this. Bear in mind this is my opinion and coming from a guy who played the switch version of unleashed.
1: improved drifting: the original controlled fine for the most part, but drifting was a bit finicky at times as in recent playing it would sometimes activate unintentionally.
2. A means to flush the track to the terrain in track builder: building tracks is fun until you work with sloped terrain on switch. For example many times I tried to make a track under the stairs in the bat cave where there’s a narrow path but making the track climb the slope is very tricky to do.
3. A means to join online lobbies that are dedicated to custom tracks or premised ones: seems self explanatory.
4: toggle stickers in vinyl editor to be exact angles. Rotating stickers to a perfect 90 degrees or so can be a chore to do in getting the angle if it can be done I’d appreciate it.
Other than that I’m looking forward to what cars join the roster (BF5 saber is the only one on my hopes) Good luck Milestone with this game!

For how much drifting played a part in the first game, I’m surprised the Drift King wasn’t added. It’s been my favorite car since I was a kid. Here’s hoping it’s added in the new installment

Cant wait! Once we jumped out the window in the backyard brings me back to 1998 hw stunt track driver on pc I used to play alot on my favorite track the sandbox . Also overall it’s motorstorm (hot wheels edition).
Hope they added Piranha Terror, Mach It Go and Cloud Cutter to be added and represent Power Rocket, Hotweiler, Hot Seat and Mattel Dream Mobile
That sequel trailer was turbocharged epic, I'm excited for new cars like Prototype H-24, Buzz Bomb, or Monster Trucks like Loco Punk and Gunkster, I bet the Monster Truck version of SpongeBob character vehicle is in there. I hope something is done to nerf or remove boost flying. It turned multiplayer into a rocket league flight training camp instead of a car racing game and made me abandon mp on the first one...
it would be epic if the side ways slam had a forward spin, break check and air slam version as well, if you make the slam a directional input, forward Slam sends your car into a spin and uses a boost but can break though someone doing a break check, backward slam on the ground would be a break check where you get a boost from the checked car, and backward slam in the air uses the second jump to slam down on top of a car. Could be crazy if added

I'm interested to see how the new dodge mechanic plays out, I've always wanted to see something like that done in a racing game... it also looks like they're doing an off-road system where some cars with off-road tires will perform better in sand and such, it's also lovely to see WR/AR cars prominently featured in the promo art, Mattel is finally starting to understand that part of the fanbase lol

Amazing! Please keep the ability to customize your house and maybe now your garden(?). Hotwheels Unleashed is more fun to me than any other racing game since Forza Horizon (imo its getting a bit stale now). I like how you've added bikes, outdoors, and monster trucks! This is going to be sweet!!
Probably sounds silly, but I hope the second part allows me to change the volumes of sound effect and machine sounds individually. Not only was it loud, but I'd like to be able to get my adrenaline rush from the OST by turning that up!
