i am 15 i just started messing around with football as i am from europe, i tried to throw a 40m without any real experience now my schouldes was injured. now i got some technique due to vids like this and ofcourse practice now its a lot better
guys another thing is to keep your elbow up called a duckwing, allowing you to throw over your head which lets you throw with more accuracy and it makes it a ton more easier to throw the ball
please dont forget to use deception so if you know your going to throw to wide reciever 1 look across the field at wr 2 and 3 and dont look at wr1 till you decide to throw it or youll be getting your wr in trouble with safetys and cb since your staring him down letting the whole world know your looking for him, practice using your peripheral vision and looking at your target at the very last second if you become a master at this you will be playing qb for a long time!
I can throw 50 60 yards and can ring a basketball goal from about 20 im a great leader but never got the chance to play football growing up im 16 and about to go in a new school my friends say i should play qb for there team and right now im just sharpening my skills up twoplay if you now any way to work on accuracy please help
@theMED JED i completley agree but one tine we were in a game with a few seconds left and we had to score and coach called a hail mary but i dont have surpurior arm strength and i threw it underthrown
Alrite this should sum it up im this years varsity qb and im appidextric meaning I have eqaulibrium in both hands although im left dominant my max yardage throw is 60 average with either hand the only reason I look up this vid is cuz I had a hip injury last J-V season yep im only a sophmore
People realize that it doesn't maters if you can throw a ball far.......For Qb that is the the smallest problem, it's about an accuracy, thinking, reading the deffence.Every stronger person can throw a ball far but that doesnt make them a a good Qb.Thrust me i am 15 i was Fs when i started training and i was weak, but i found out that i have al what Qb needs to have and i started practising for Qb although i am youngest in team.In the begining i throwed 40yd bu now i throw at least 100yd...
@princevegeta97 did u mean 40-45 steps? because u dont have that much power when u r 13, u gain power during your late teens because of puberty and most qbs also can only throw about 50 yrds an easy way to count a yard is 4steps( edge to edge)=1yard or 45yrds=180steps(edge to edge)
Lol...I'm 17, 150lbs, 5'11, and i can throw 60-70 yards :O. I'm training my buddy who is 14 with the same build, to play QB! He used to throw 20 yards, now he throws 40 with accuracy :D
Who cares if you can throw the ball 60 yards I'm 13 and can throw the ball 40 yards but I'm never gonna do that in a game. If you hav good accuracy and ur a good leader then you make a great QB
not really bro theres alot to make up as at the QB position just throw the passes u no u can make read the definse to throw away from coverage and youll be fine
You don't point your shoulder forward to get your "sights set", that's a BS way of saying, "I heard this from someone so I'll just repeat it. You point the front shoulder forward so you can get your elbow on the throwing arm to 0. Without that, you open the hallway wide and aren't very accurate nor is the ball going to be tight.
you have to know what makes a wr and how to make it easy for your qb,i dont care if your peyton manning you do not throw a football on the run no matter how good vick or griffin 3 looks rolling all the dam time, football is a tough sport a running back in the nfl is only good for 3 to 5 years because of all the punishment he takes, what you have to do is work with your in game receivers and do lots of stair climbing frog sit ups, stretch every chance you get EVERY muscle and play lots of longTOSS!
damn yall bulls nice i just throw slants poast digg ins and outs yall trynna throw the hole field in 1 pass if i could i wouldnt do it in the gane high percentage passes when the game look at andrew luck and yeah im only 14
This is terrible. Don't point your toe, get the ball down and don't step and point your toe. Pointing your toe locks out your knee and causes your hips to go backwards, completely negating your hips in your throw. Also, the last drill does nothing to loosen your hips nor can you generate any hips in your throw when you block them completely by facing the opposite direction.
bullshit kid you must work at being great on all positions of football once you know everyones role you now can understand what quaterback truly means, communication on routes timing control agility pocket pressence understanding your weaknesses and making sure your reciever do not play to them!

he means your weight should be on your front foot when you finsih but your back foot should come through and be level so your balanced after the throw
