Thank you for this review, i have just purchased this machine and as a newbie woodworker found your comments very helpful and instructive. I will follow your advice for set up.
Very helpful mate! Mine arrives in the next few days, and thanks to your video I wont spend a whole day trying to set it up right. Much appreciated. +1
Thanks for the video Russell. I read those negative reviews too ("it's not accurate so I've taken it back") but the manual is very clearly explaining how to adjust and for the price we pay those machines I feel it's fair to spend a little time setting it up. Mine unfortunately will probably have to be replaced as the base is not straight and when I clamp the item it tilts on the other side :) (I'm waiting for Evolution to come back to me) but indeed I appreciate that it can be adjusted for a very accurate job.
+tony359 Thank you for your comment Tony. I hope you have success with Evolution. They seem like a decent company. You cannot fix a twisted base! For the price I think it is a great saw.
hi russell, i want some straight edges for a table im attempting to make (first woodwork project) and bought this but it has a power plug for a generator, is it okay to change it for a domestic 3 pin plug, for a uk household socket
Hi Beverley, I am sorry, but I do not understand exactly what you are asking. Are you saying that you have bought a Rage 3-B but it does not have a UK 3 pin plug? If that is the case, then it sounds like you have a 110V saw and will need to change it for a 240V. Check on the box or the machine to see what voltage it runs at. I believe the product code for the 110V version is RAGE3B2101 if that helps.

You may have just answered my question as to the side movement.
Rushing home tomorrow from Gran Canaria to fix it.
Thank you
I hope it works. :-)
Instructions were crap, had watch this video on how to move the thing. I thank you very much :)

Yes, I had the same impression too. After all all those refurbished saws on their ebay outlet must come from somewhere! :)
Very informative. Have now set mine up with your advice. No need to bother with instructions with you out there man ;)
+Mark Pringle Thank you Mark :-)
Brilliant very very honest review, and super advise on making it very accurate. Cheers Russell.
