Fantastic story! It was pretty funny when The Flying Kipper crashed into Gordon! :) At 8:31 It reminds me of Paxton taking Gordon to the Steamworks in Gordon Runs Dry
Now this was something I didn't expect to see. I never knew Andrew wrote the original version of this story. Great accidents that Thomas and Gordon had. I'm amazed with how you managed to keep close to the source :).
I liked the shot you got of the Fat Controller sitting on the brake van. It was a nice touch. Meanwhile, the only gripe I have about this story is that it had Thomas in it. Surely another engine could've been in it, like Stanley or Rosie? We rarely get stories about those engines after all. Otherwise, I enjoyed this story very much. Keep up the good work.
This was pretty much what the magazine story gave us and I want it to be close to the original source, besides it's rare to see Thomas with the Flying Kipper in my opinion.
Wow! That was wonderful! Man, seems like the railway can never get a break with the Flying Kipper now, can it? Keeps getting better and better, your videos are wonderful mate!
Are you sure this is how the Flying Kipper supposed to go out? :/ I looked on the wiki just recently and it was said that the train goes from the harbour all the way to the mainland. And the way how it says seems that it means it's a train that doesn't stop at any station what-so-ever until it reaches the mainland, unless they need a banker up Gordon's hill for the heavy vans. Remember this quote from an episode? "Some of it goes to shops in the town, and the rest in a 'special train' to 'other places far away.'" So it's believed by what the wiki said by that, the other places far away could be on the mainland. And I can also assume that the fish going to shops in the town are done by lorry. (raises hands in defense) Just thought I'd let you know, that's all. So please no flames.
+Kyle Eaton Take a look at Streaking Steam Productions' video called 'Kipper Catastrophe' where Toby travels around Sodor with the train to each station. To me this is how I would picture the Kipper if were a rail only train, it stops at stations to drop off loads of fish for the towns and villages across the Island for the branch lines and all.
Oh yeah, I remember seeing that video. So I see where you're going with this. I guess I could think that Sir Topham Hatt had decided a new arrangement for the Flying Kipper service instead of just going to the mainland, with the new arrangement being Streaking Steam Productions way of its service. How about it?
pip and emma took over the express because the tighter time tables were getting too overwhelming for gordon so he "retired" the express (he takes it now and then if pip and emma are ever out of commission) hope this helped if not read christopher awdry's newest book that is the book these events take place! :)
8:13 the offscreen crash amused me, as did Gordon's "Oooooh, Bother!"
I loved it! David mitton would be proud of you right now!
Funnily enough, top link engines like Gordon were employed on fish trains back in the day, due to fast running being essential.
It looks like Thomas got the last laugh.

This reminds me so much of "Down The Mine," only reversed.

Excellent episode as always! Shame though, i don't know what it is, but hearing that Gordon no longer pulls the express just never sets with me....

NWR1991 one question, How can Oliver be a Main Line Engine, if he runs the Little Western Branchline?
SodorSantafe Warbonnets08 - Oliver could be there for any reason, maybe to help out with passengers or goods.
ah ok,
This is the first episode of your series that I've seen and I must say, I love the intro. The shots are very impressove as well.

Why is Gordon pulling the local now?
