A fair and balanced overview. I found the same issues with attempting to recharge devices directly from the panel. Basically, unless one has the Nomad 7 pointed directly at the sun, with a cloudless sky, it is best to power from the Guide 10+. One comment/correction: those cord loops along the edges (and the closure flap) are not reinforcements; they are attachment points for mounting the Nomad to stationary objects and backpacks. I use 'biners across my panniers on my daily bike commute.
I know you said the panel isn't enough to run the ham radio with the addapter but would it be enough to charge a spare battery for the ham radio if it were hooked up to the panel?
Glad you enjoyed it, the Nomad 7s been a joy to use and great to have as backup for batteries for devices and for prepping and emergency preparedness.

Looks like a decent device for the right applications.
I have heard if you have more than one of them you can plug them together. What does linking more than one do for you?

Thanks! Which brand handheld ham radio is that please?
Where did you get the antenna for that radio? I have the same radio and can not find one. If you can send me a link that would be great.
Will it charge Android or is it Apple proprietary?
Would another brand of re-charge batt. work?
