This is SO helpful. We were taught rocking numbers, but not why. It seemed nonsensical but I hoped there was a reason. This makes it so much easier to remember!

I still don't understand when to rock to the right and when to rock to the left...

you move right when the first digit is higher than the second digit (ex:76) and left when the second digit is higher than the first digit (ex:78)
