Was in a conversation with former colleagues and they repeatedly said they wanted Netanyahu gone and wanted a "two state" solution. I heard it enough to realize it is talking points and buzz phrases from the press and internet for those who want traditional Jews to just give up.

Great Britain really screwed things off in 1948 with their two-state idea. They should have ideally just made it a single solid state for the Jews. Also, you're incorrect about Great Britain wanting to create a second Palestinian state. There was no such thing as the Palestinians at that time. Many Jewish people who lived in the British mandate at that time called themselves Palestinians. That's because that was the name of the British mandate. But the Arabs at that time simply refer to themselves as Arabs.
That's right. The Arabs of the British Mandate did not start calling themselves "Palestinian" in any significant numbers until after the '67 war. People need to know this. This is no historic "Palestinian" people.

I would add Bill that you can not have a two state solution when one side of the equation (Hamas) does not want to coexist with the other side. Hamas wants all of the land and the Jews gone. My solution is to tell both sides, "You two go at it till the other is totally gone, and there is only one survivor." Winner take all. There will be no peace there until one side is gone for good.
