this would have worked with mono pyro hu tao since the pyro aura has to be on the enemies for the 4 set to activate. as such, mono pyro teams work well with it as well as melt/vape characters like childe, rosaria etc. It's not about whether lavawalker or crimson is better, because they essentially have different functions. It is about the funky builds we can do. Maybe take some time to think about the phrases "affected by X element" and which reactions or non-reactions could work with them. Maybe you can do a follow-up video with mono pyro hu tao and other characters that trigger melt and vaporise that arent pyro element. Additionally, I think a funky idea (since you have c6 bennett) is a mono pyro xinyan.
I have my klee with lavawalker and burning comp with nahida and yaoyao, why both nahida and yaoyao? Because you can't proc nshida Eskill if you cant cause a reaction, that's where another off field dendro aplicator comes in. It can work with raiden or fischl but overload sometimes cancel out the burning. That's why yaoyao completes the comp
your lavawalker set is not wasted! its a very good set for mono pyro units, like Klee, pyro xinyan (with c6 bennett) and sometimes yoimiya, and its also insane on hydro/cryo units that can vape/melt, like burst nuke childe and reverse melt kaeya/rosaria. Hu Tao is able to vape her every hit so she doesnt benefit from mono pyro that much

There is a fun reverse melt build for Kaeya that uses Lavawalker, you use klee's burst to keep a constant pyro aura on the enemy which allows Kaeya's burst to proc melt with the boost from Lavawalker.
I thought about that kind of use of the lavawalker set for the burning teams, like giving it to Nahida or Al Haitham and using Thoma or Xiangling as a support, but even so I think there are better choices.
Burning teams can use lavawalker. You can put that set on a XL or Klee with anemo grouper, dendro applier (probably nahida) and Bennett. I actually enjoy playing this team comp as it has a lot of dps with the burning dot
I wouldn't say that lavawalker Hu Tao is great because vape is so broken, but the lavawalker set can be really great on klee. she applies too much pyro to vape consistently so the 4-piece buff is going to be consistently active
for mono fire dmg, its important to actually swirl your pyro for vv. hutao would require you to have a second pyro unit on your team since she cant swap off once you skill. as for your lava walker set it could still be potentially used like a reverse melt rosaria for example or a mono pyro burning team.
When I saw the title for the video I immediately thought "Oh please tell me he didn't :'(" Yeah Lavawalker is unfortunately useless for vaporize teams. But perhaps there's some hope! I wouldn't entirely trust the leaks, but it seems Dehya will not work well with Xinqiu or Yelan because of how her Burst works, so she probably won't be used in Vape teams. Maybe you can try a Lavawalker Dehya dps build when she releases?

Swap Albedo for another off field pyro character like xiangling or amber(elegy?) because Hu Tao doesn’t really have any off field pyro application until after she hits something with an infused charged attack. So there wouldn’t be any pyro for Kazuha to swirl

Lavawalker is basically either for: Mono Pyro Sub-Dps with Pyro Dps Main Dps with Sub-Pyro Dps So you either throw Witch on Hu Tao and Lavawalker on Yelan/Xing or you throw it on a Dps that reacts with Pyro, like the usual Ganyu + Xiangling.
Before we had so many hydro units, and before Shimenawa existed, this set wasn't terrible. There would have been a case where you needed your Xingqui on your other team, and so you use lava walker on Hutao. Now this isn't an issue because we have so many great Hydro units, and even Barbara and Mona now have more use cases.
They've updated Artifact selection for strongboxes in this update, which, I guess is cool, but I still have like 1200 unlocked artifacts from back when I didn't think that was worth my time
I thought about this myself before and the only real usecase I can see for this, however I havent tried the efficency is: C6 Xiangling with the 15% pyro boost + a buffer like kazuha + Bennet. (He's a bit iffy cause of the heal) Perhaps another character (or weapon) can apply a straight pyro dmg increase like xiangling but im way too f2p to know every possibility without doing the research.

C6 Amber is a good partner for Hu Tao. She can apply the enemy with pyro for an anemo to swirl, gives a speed attack boost and it’ll get even better with Elegy.
Actually you can try to use lavawalker to do a Nuke with tartaglia, i've seen many people use it, as you know chile needs to hit an enemy with pyro to nuke yk
Lavawalker would be more viable to mono pyro Yoimiya (w/ benny, kazuha, yunjin) since it would synergises well with the said comp. I suggest you’d try that 😁😁
Also, Dehya would be coming out and I think she would also be able to utilize Lavawalker since her burst applies pyro very fast. So dont feel down that you upgraded those lavawalker 😁

Hiya Moga! As a Yelan main with C1 R1 and 10/10/10 I find my best build for her is a broken set. Her split its 50/250 and only uses 2pc Hydro Hp Sands and a Crit Dmg Circlet :) She's one of the most flexible characters in Genshin to me and can work with a lot of sets including bloom yelan etc. I hope this helped! I'd love to see a DPS Yelan video one day!
Moga using Lavawalker set on a Double Hydro team when the entire point of Lavawalker is that it does more damage if the enemy has pyro on them is very funny. Hope he does a part 2 with mono pyro teams. Maybe trying out Klee and Yoi with Lavawalker

you could try sth like a burn team with Bennet, hu tao, nahida and kazuha. This would give you the bonus dmg from lavawalker, pyro swirl, bennet atk buff as well as some bonus damage with nahida whose bonus dmg is triggert by kazuha swirling pyro thus her triggering burning. Should be at least somewhat decent with your lavawalker set
4 lavawalkers Hu Tao is awesome in a monopyro team! Hu Tao, Xiangling, Bennet and C6 thoma! I don't have the 4 set and I never tried it with 4 lavawalkers. but in theory this should be the best team for 4 Lavawalkers Hu Tao... try it out! :)
lavawalker to my understanding only really works in mono pyro (lavawalker user+benny+kazuha+a flex unit which usually ends up being zhongli or xianling) hu tao can benefit from mono pyro but the best pyro unit to benefit from this team archetype is klee hu tao is known for beiwone of the best dps units but for this statement to hold any substance she has to have access to c1, vaporise, homa, and animation cancels
em is so bad for this set cuz this set is good for mono pyro team (nonreaction hutao) cuz it buffes the dmg if the opponent is affected by pyro which is like impossible with hydro supports so You're not getting the buff you are looking for
Lava walker hu tao would be useful in mono pyro team or 2 geo 2 pyro i can think of team like zhongli (for shild and resestint drop) , xangling( c6 gives enemy pyro ress drop when hit by guba ) ,kazuha (could be any other anemo with 4 pic vv shred), hu tao (dps) Ply zhongli in shild then xangling in e & q anemo swaral then hu tao

I recommend using xiangling + hu tao + yelan + zhongli.....but u wouldn't be able to vaporize hu tao's atks...but yelan will get bonus...u can also use burning reaction to get benefit from the lavawalker passive
I think someone forgot to teach him how De does VV, there's no way to lower pyro resistance with Anemo off the field, so he would have to put another pyro in Albedo's place

Lavawalker is generally better if you use it on cryo/hydro/anemo character. Lavawalker xiao, kazuha, rosaria, etc are real builds if you wanna optimize for dmg
just an idea for a thought, swirl pyro with kazuha xiangling, then use xingqiu q and then dash w hu tao, IF the pyro sticks to the enemy the little hydro hits from xingqiu ( compared to kazuha's ult continusely swirling pyro and pyro from hu tao) then lavawalker would do you rlly good
Okay two things One lavawalker and thundersoother are meant more for mono element teams and secondly Yelan shoots three arrows during her burst per wave and a fourth shot is added by her C2 which resets ICD with the three-hit rule so she's constantly applying hydro though at C0 her application isn't as good as Xingqiu but it's still resetting ICD every round
Well technically they don't only work on mono element teams. Thundersoother can work in electro charged and Aggravate teams and Lavawalker can work in reverse melt teams and nuke forward vape teams.
As far as I understand, Lavawalker set is not meant for a Pyro dps directly, but for a support unit who is played along with a Pyro dps, and off field damager, for example. Same goes for Thundersoother - it is meant for a support for Electro DPS. But again, those are very old sets, their utility have long been rendered obsolete
Thundersoother applications have only increased after the 3.0 update with Aggravate teams. Electro charged comps can also benefit from Thundersoother 4pc so it could be good if you've been farming Thundering Fury for an Aggravate unit and ended up with a nice Thundersoother set by accident. But I feel like if it's good for anyone it would probably only be on Fischl though.
You should try 4pc Lavawalker Xingqiu + his C4 Benny Burst (to apply pyro to the enemy) => Xingqiu Burst => Xingqiu E (vaporize the pyro affected enemy) you can add Zhongli, Kazuha, Random pyro user and other buffers and res shredders for more shenanigans x)
yh has to be mono pyro team. could do hu tao, kazuha for dmg buff and vv, amber for pyro resonance and maybe a ttds holder or any other dmg buffer or res shred like zhongli

Lava walker hydro units are more popular as they hit hard on vaporizes. Tho there is still no unit who truly justifies using Lava walker over other sets unless you are doing a scam one shot showcase aiming for like a million damage on childe, xingqui, yelan etc
Use hutao with xiangling, specially c6 xiangling, for the pyro buff. I'd add maybe kazuha, sucrose or EM heizou as third slot and a non-reactive shielder like zhongli, or pyro shield like tankfei and xinyan, or just merge the applier/shield slots and use full hp thoma. You need constant pyro application for the proc
Lavawalker is for mono teams and hu tao is the last character I’d give lava walker. I would give it to Kaeya on c6 Bennett where he can keep pyro aura by auto and charge attacks so his burst always melts.
You could try her in mono-Pyro. In Shogun fight Hu Tao had more than 50% HP without full set.

Lavawalker is for 1 unit I swear and that's klee, she applies so much pyro that the bonus is pretty much always active.
That dragging the artifacts to select them all in the strongbox thing is relatively new, got added in like 3.3 or 3.4, it's very handy.
On mobile, it is easy to select too many and spend time deselecting and reselecting. I really dislike it.

She's one of the most flexible characters in Genshin to me and can work with a lot of sets including bloom yelan etc.

Moga using Lavawalker set on a Double Hydro team when the entire point of Lavawalker is that it does more damage if the enemy has pyro on them is very funny. Hope he does a part 2 with mono pyro teams. Maybe trying out Klee and Yoi with Lavawalker

Can the burning dendro reaction be play with Lavawalker Hutao?, the reaction constantly applied pyro aura isnt?
you could try sth like a burn team with Bennet, hu tao, nahida and kazuha. This would give you the bonus dmg from lavawalker, pyro swirl, bennet atk buff as well as some bonus damage with nahida whose bonus dmg is triggert by kazuha swirling pyro thus her triggering burning. Should be at least somewhat decent with your lavawalker set
4 lavawalkers Hu Tao is awesome in a monopyro team! Hu Tao, Xiangling, Bennet and C6 thoma! I don't have the 4 set and I never tried it with 4 lavawalkers. but in theory this should be the best team for 4 Lavawalkers Hu Tao... try it out! :)
lavawalker to my understanding only really works in mono pyro (lavawalker user+benny+kazuha+a flex unit which usually ends up being zhongli or xianling)
hu tao can benefit from mono pyro but the best pyro unit to benefit from this team archetype is klee
hu tao is known for beiwone of the best dps units but for this statement to hold any substance she has to have access to c1, vaporise, homa, and animation cancels

Lava walker hu tao would be useful in mono pyro team or 2 geo 2 pyro i can think of team like zhongli (for shild and resestint drop) , xangling( c6 gives enemy pyro ress drop when hit by guba ) ,kazuha (could be any other anemo with 4 pic vv shred), hu tao (dps)
Ply zhongli in shild then xangling in e & q anemo swaral then hu tao
lava walker hu tao seems like it would be best in a burning/burgeon team. dendro eats alot of reactions and makes things extend often

before watching this video i just wanna say that today i decided to farm a little bit of crimson because i still don’t have a 4pc crimson for my yanfei and i got two double crit lavawalker back to back. i hate that domain with a burning passion
I don’t really get lavawalker like you have to use mono pyro for it but at that point double hydro vaporize is already way better
I have my klee with lava walker and burning comp with nahida and yaoyao, its a fun comp that let you witness enemies dying from debuff
I recommend using xiangling + hu tao + yelan + zhongli.....but u wouldn't be able to vaporize hu tao's atks...but yelan will get bonus...u can also use burning reaction to get benefit from the lavawalker passive
I think someone forgot to teach him how De does VV, there's no way to lower pyro resistance with Anemo off the field, so he would have to put another pyro in Albedo's place

Lavawalker is generally better if you use it on cryo/hydro/anemo character. Lavawalker xiao, kazuha, rosaria, etc are real builds if you wanna optimize for dmg
curse lavawalker everytime i farm crimson i only get lavawalker pieces. THIS IS WHY MY HU TAO HAS 7% CRIT RATE

just an idea for a thought, swirl pyro with kazuha xiangling, then use xingqiu q and then dash w hu tao, IF the pyro sticks to the enemy the little hydro hits from xingqiu ( compared to kazuha's ult continusely swirling pyro and pyro from hu tao) then lavawalker would do you rlly good

Okay two things One lavawalker and thundersoother are meant more for mono element teams and secondly Yelan shoots three arrows during her burst per wave and a fourth shot is added by her C2 which resets ICD with the three-hit rule so she's constantly applying hydro though at C0 her application isn't as good as Xingqiu but it's still resetting ICD every round
Well technically they don't only work on mono element teams. Thundersoother can work in electro charged and Aggravate teams and Lavawalker can work in reverse melt teams and nuke forward vape teams.
Lava walker works best in mono pyro team so hu tao kazuha xaingling zhongli would be a pretty nice mono pyro team

As far as I understand, Lavawalker set is not meant for a Pyro dps directly, but for a support unit who is played along with a Pyro dps, and off field damager, for example. Same goes for Thundersoother - it is meant for a support for Electro DPS. But again, those are very old sets, their utility have long been rendered obsolete
Thundersoother applications have only increased after the 3.0 update with Aggravate teams. Electro charged comps can also benefit from Thundersoother 4pc so it could be good if you've been farming Thundering Fury for an Aggravate unit and ended up with a nice Thundersoother set by accident. But I feel like if it's good for anyone it would probably only be on Fischl though.
You could use Lavawalker on a reverse melt or vape character
according to current dehya leaks her best team comp would be mono pyro, so maybe you can use this set on her.

You should try 4pc Lavawalker Xingqiu + his C4
Benny Burst (to apply pyro to the enemy) => Xingqiu Burst => Xingqiu E (vaporize the pyro affected enemy)
you can add Zhongli, Kazuha, Random pyro user and other buffers and res shredders for more shenanigans x)

Lava walker hydro units are more popular as they hit hard on vaporizes. Tho there is still no unit who truly justifies using Lava walker over other sets unless you are doing a scam one shot showcase aiming for like a million damage on childe, xingqui, yelan etc
Use hutao with xiangling, specially c6 xiangling, for the pyro buff. I'd add maybe kazuha, sucrose or EM heizou as third slot and a non-reactive shielder like zhongli, or pyro shield like tankfei and xinyan, or just merge the applier/shield slots and use full hp thoma.
You need constant pyro application for the proc
Lavawalker is for mono teams and hu tao is the last character I’d give lava walker. I would give it to Kaeya on c6 Bennett where he can keep pyro aura by auto and charge attacks so his burst always melts.
I give 4-pc lavawalker on xiao with bennett, xiangling and kazuha in a team, it's really works well because the pyro application is frequent
