Dimash’s mother sings saprono and his father is a singer and producer. They are both very well known in Kazakhstan. There are several videos on utube of them singing together. As a point of interest, in Kazakhstan it is the culture for the eldest son to be raised by the paternal grandparents. This was the case with Dimash. He has a younger sister who is training to be a doctor. She also sings but chose not to do this as a profession. His younger brother is a musician. They are a very close family ❤❤❤

He is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. Dimash was surrounded by musicians and singers since childhood. And they noticed that he has perfect pitch when he was 5 years old and he was learning to play piano. He love arts, loves reading literature, poetry... And his family always supported him. Hug from Brazil!

I would like to add a very important thing about Dimash to the impressive list. In Islam, they say, "If you do a good deed, it is better to keep silent about it." That's why charity is done quietly. But this time, the media did not hide it. Recently, there was mourning in Kazakhstan for the deceased miners. And Dimash donated 20 million to the families of the deceased.
That's a generous act.

Grandparents were raising Dimash (tradition in their country) with his young parents busy with schools and work.
Grandma told that Dimash's favorite toys were music cassettes they kept in his crib. He wouldn't go to sleep without them.
Another story was told. Still being a little boy starting learning piano, one day he complained about a wrong piano sound. That when they recognized that Dimash had a perfect pitch

There us a video called Dearest Mither where Dimash sings with his parents and Dimash sings with his sister Raushan on All By Myself. Raushan does not🎉 want to be a singer as she is shy. She is studying to be a doctor, but helps with Dimash’s concerts. Mansur is about 17 and is the young brother. He is studying in music school, hasnt really sung live, but plays instruments on some shows. He composed the song Together which Dimash and Mansur did an mv for,

Dimash's biological parents are singers or a part of the music industry, but he was actually raised by his father's parents, paternal grandparents. None of these guides go into it. So till about the age of 10, he thought his mom and dad were older siblings. Its an old Kazakh custum where they give the first born to the grandparents to raise, to bind the family closer. Which is a wonderful idea. I personally grew up with my paternal grandparents in the house, and I definitely had a closer relationship with them. Dimash sadly lost his paternal grandfather this year, so in essence he lost one of his dads. Great Reaction! I love LiLaSi's videos.

And he is really good in everything he does, multitalented: singer, songwriter, composer, sportman, love poems and wrote some himself, studied painting, he would be a good actor, tried himself in directing and screenwriting of his music videos, he is a thinker, wise beyond his age, kind of a phylsopher, a great humanitarian,and I could go on... Both of hid parents are honored artist of Kazakhstan (Dimash got the title at age 25, and a few weeks ago he waa awarded People's Artist of Kazakhstan ).

Dimash parents are honored artist of Kazakhstan (Dimash got the title at age 25, and a few weeks ago he was awarded People's Artist of Kazakhstan ).
As others said, his little sister has a beautiful voice too, but she was interested in math & physic, now studying at medical university to be a doctor.
(Dimash sang duet with Raushan in 2017, "All By Myself" and there is another one "Dudarai" but we have only the rehearsal recording.
His little brother is a musician, plays dombra, piano, keyboard, drums & guitar like Dimash (Dimash plays marimba /xylophone chello, bass guitar too), but his main instrument is the guitar, now he is 16 yo and studying guitar in music conservatory at the Univrrsity, he started to write songs - his first released song he wrote for Dimash is "Together".
The rector of the KAZNUA (Kazakh National University of Arts) said that she told Dimash's parents tthey should form a family group and perform together, they could be like the Jackson Five. :)

This is an excellent series that you have started. The videos are accurate, informative and enjoyable. As far as I have heard from various interviews I've watched (some with Dimash and some with his mother and grandmother), the time that Dimash was talking about when he went onstage at 2 was in some sort of play. He had to hold a toy car and walk across the stage with a little girl who was about 4 or 6 or something. When he got to the middle of the stage though and discovered the audience, he wouldn't leave! He wasn't singing at that age. Dimash seems to have inherited the vocal ranges of both his parents! (Plus a bit more!). One of Dimash's music teachers also taught his mother. Welcome to the world of Dimash! This ultimate guide is a good series to get to know Dimash as an amazing artist and as a person. Yes, his parents are famous honored artists in Kazakhstan. After this series, you guys should check out Dimash singing with his parents. There are TH-cam videos out there. I caught a video of young Dimash (about 13-14 years old) singing on stage at a show that looked like was his parents' show. He was a skinny kid, but already with smooth voice and stage charisma. When he was a toddler he preferred to sleep with a cassette tape deck rather than a teddy bear. They also recognized his perfect pitch early on.
His mother has done some Kazakh videos in her early days which are exquisite. Both parents sing, but his mother has the operatic training. You can hear Dimash in her high notes.
I disagree its only 1% talent vs 99 % hard work. Otherwise...there would be a lot more Dimash's.
There are physical characteristics that favor certain skills. One seldom sees a stocky ballerina or swimmer. Dimash is 6'3"" with a swimmers upper body and probably an inherited set of vocal cords longer than most. He does't drink, smoke or do drugs. He's mentally and emotuonally strong and sane and engenders an astute awareness. It takes a passionate drive and a profound sense of music and the creating of it . To work so hard and diligently. He loved it.
Technical skills are a different thing. And that I agree with the percentage. Total mastery of technique is an amazing accomplishment in deed. Bit, without the element of human substance, open access to the soul...and the innate sense of sound as a form of communication music ....it becomes little more than a machine.
When Dimash sings...he captivates and connects with your soul. And you are off on a journey with him. That is something you cannot teach. The ability to reach people.
Its funny to watch some people fight it. Dimash will NOT make them a fool or make them cry! Usually its jealous posers..... boýs afraid to be men. Or self righteous feminists afraid to be women.
Dimash carries a healthy balance of gender attributes. Grace and beauty ....vulnerability power and strength. As well too... adult/child attributes. Adult responsibility and wisdom coupled with a childs wonder and imagination. And humor.
He says his most important job...before music or any skill or career...is.to be a good human. To be the best he can be for humanity and the world we all live in.
I cannot think of a better role model out there today for children.
He just visited a school recently and the kids all flocked to him. Even though his music is generally not pop. His music lifts the spirit. He inspires and brings a sense of safety... joy and peace. Nothing can hurt you if Dimash is in the room.
As an adult woman even, I must confess..he makes me feel the same way. Safe... and hopeful.
