31:50 this is one of the most uplifting, mysterious and mesmerizing melodies I've heard in my life...the rhythm section also is insane in the whole track
Hilbert Dub is a track that, when I first heard a year ago, I didn't really like that much, but has with time grown on me and now I feel it's one of their best songs ever.
First time I hear it, it's amazing! They play in Qc City in 2 days, I'm so busy right now but I'll def try to grab a ticket. Seeing them live must be something!
I hear you - one just has to stay open and listen without memory and comparison/analysing.. many Jazz listeners/musicians have that problem and so there won't be a dance...
You are both my type of people. -edit: I'm going to throw Jimmy Chamberlain Complex, Mark Guiliana (Beat Music), JoJo Mayer and Nerve, Bonobo (live) and Tycho in with this list. So much Electronica and Jazz influenced, imaginative music coming I can't help but be happy :D
OurNeighborsCat aww yeah!! love tycho and bobobo (luckily seen them both live too and they do not dissapoint) also love jojo mayer.. theres a vid of him playing jungle music that ive been hooked on for years haha.. such a cool guy. im about to check your other two recommendations. for you i have ..Vessels (like a post rocky bonobo) check the album Dilate. Gallops (synthy math rock) chrome sparks (some of the best electronic music ive ever heard, check sparks ep and godess ep) frederic robinson (more amazing electronic music) And may aswell throw some fun ones in too. Quadrupede.. Bear cubbin and Adebisi shank. (all super upbeat loopy mathy sort of stuff) have fun yo
You'd be able to emulate that with a bass through a sub-octave pedal (and in places a filter), but I'm pretty sure live they don't have a bassist, so maybe they run the keyboard through a similar effect or use a patch. Will see them early next year in the States and find out.
thank you for saving me from endless youtube random 'jazz'','nu jazz' ,'lo fi' 'chill hop' playlists ,this is the shittt
adding to my own post , i just want to say that nothing compares to listening to real albums by monstrous musicians making amazing music
@@Jean_loop i know the feel bro. MOTK is on a whole other planet

Saw these dudes live at a Tera Melos concert a couple of years ago, had never heard of them before. They're even better live.
Lucky lucky person, what an amazing lineup.
@@Claidheambmor it was a show to remember! One of those "if I could go back in time" shows. 🤘
These guys are just awesome, I started exploring japanese jazz because of them
Same here. This was my introduction into Japanese Prog Jazz

Their version of Le Gibet is absolutely devastating.

Good old taste test.. those chords in the first song together with the rhythm - oh and melodies don't need no words...
Huge fan of Mouse on the Keys. If you like them as well, check out the bands Toe and BADBADNOTGOOD.

Mouse on the keys is awesome!
Incredible! Masters of percussion! the enlightenment of the strings.
I don't know why but switching to 1.25x speed for me its pure gold 😂. I'm a TMV fan
the first song is so intense.
Big Fan since An anxious object!!
This band should really consider pressing more LPs, it's unbelievable that you can't get any single one of them on vinyl.
6:04 Jean Sibelius

Do they tour outside Japan ?
They played the States for the first time last year. They said they wanna come back. Pretty sure they've done Europe too.

Loving this album, thanks!
Really cool band!
wow, what a strong track to end on.
No idea why, but 4:04 reminds me of "Broadway" from "SimCity 3000".
Is the drummer ok?
Mirror of nature is so good
drummer is a mathematician
Leviathan is insane.
The hottest band in the world right now.
leviathan is a banger
Hamster in a piano!
How do they make that filthy deep bassy sound? What equipment do they use??
