Honolulu TheBus - Route E - 2003 Gillig Phantom

Well, at least there was more view from the windows this time around compared to where I was sitting than last time around. And I got to ride another Phantom as a bonus, how nice. But yeah, here's a much better viewing experience on Route E. Had to cut the recording from the back half of the H-1 to Waipahu due to the traffic being even worse than last time though.

Route E is a major surburban limited-stop route between Ewa Beach and Waikiki (Honolulu Zoo). This route runs along Route 42 for most of the trip, but two key differences are: Using the H-1 Freeway between Waipahu Transit Center and Downtown Honolulu, skipping Route 42's stops over Kamehameha and Nimitz Highways, and using Kalakaua Avenue instead of Kuhio Avenue towards its eastbound terminus at Honolulu Zoo.
Notable areas covered on this route are: Ewa Beach, Ewa Beach Transit Center, Ewa Beach Shopping Center, Hawaii Prince Golf Course, Laulani Village Shopping Center, Ewa Gentry, West Loch Estates, Waipahu, Waipahu Transit Center & Pouhala Waipahu Transit Center Skyline Station, Downtown Honolulu, Ala Moana Center (via Ala Moana Blvd.), and Waikiki.
