Sergi wasn't made to compete in Men's Physique and the IFBB judges are looking for a smaller look, the size Sergi already has would be better in a Classic Physique as long as he stays in the category's height/weight rule. He can go 200+ lb but if he weighs more than what's allowed at his height, he will lose points on the score card. This is a situation similar to Sadik Hadzovic, he mentioned in a interview, he had too much size as a Men's Physique competitor and the judges told him not to be more than 190lb, also in another interview with Frank Sepe, told he had to go on a long cut for all his competitions because he put tons of size on up to 230lb in the off season. So their both the same, made to be big and aesthetic, not smaller than their current look. But if Jeremy Buendia competes in the Classic Physique then we might be seeing politics happen. Maybe Sergi could get posing tips from Sadik, since they both train at the Bev Francis Powerhouse Gym.
You're better off going to the classic physique division. The new one that the NPC added. You can go up to 200+ pounds I think. Sadik and Buendia are going to that division since they're too big for physique too. More power to you man!
