Hello, I know what problem you are facing. You have 2 options. 1 - Make portfolio on websites like sarmaya (free of cost) - it will let you track the share prices as well as your bonus / dividends. 2 - The way I do it - is to export (periodic trade detail) from AHL app every 2-3 months and compile with an excel sheet. Please note that the export you want to make is in word document as it will be much easier to manage in excel.

RDA holders dont have to declare as filers IF they dont have any Pakistan source income. However, it does not mean they dont have to pay any taxes. The tax rates for PSX would be the same as anyone who is filer for RDA holder who is expat.

I want to open RDA in HBL. After opening account from UK, I go to Pakistan for 2 or 3 months visit can I use this RDA in Pakistan for taking money out or depositing money while being in Pakistan?
You can not deposit money from Pakistan, it should be remittance. However, you can easily withdraw money while being in Pakistan. They will also give you debit card which you can use in ATMs and shops.
So the real benefit is that if an RDA account is used it will allow me to repatriate the amount easily, no benefit on the tax side? But in the video you mentioned that using RDA for stocks you don't need to worry about tax filing. Please clarify. Thanks
@@tariqghaffar6298 yes - u don’t have to worry about tax filing… which is simple paper work and to me it’s a hassle. But the tax will be deducted at source anyways.
CDC Deducting Transaction Fee for each transaction of share from Broker to CDC Account and I think there are annual charges for account maintenance also. This might be the reason of holding 5,000 by CDC.
I dont recommend equity based funds right now if you already have some experience with stocks. If not, then you can slowly and gradually accumulating these equity based funds as they are having low NAVs historically right now.
Just to confirm, once the money goes out from the RDA into brokerage house, any amount being retrieved back into the RDA will go through a potential exchange loss, correct?
@@WaliKhan_2k sorry I should've clarified. I meant a USD RDA. I'm assuming once it goes out from that account and has to be retreived back, exchange rate differences will apply, correct? There's no dollar value protection for such cases?
When cdc start showing your holdings after activation? nothing showing in my portfolio but im holding some stocks in my brokers app, im rda user. They been sending me my daily transactions via email. Also my broker doing the same thing, but no value in the portfolio.

Aoa brother. Currently there is an issue ongoing for cdcaccess a/c registration. As at the time of registration you are required to enter both ( mail & Cell ) otp. But the cell phones are not receiving otp because of that registrations are stuck. Hope cdc looks into that.

Wasalam, actually I implement the habit of batching as discussed in this video: th-cam.com/video/4KeY-6hn9-Y/w-d-xo.html I sit for around 1 hour after every 2-3 days to respond to all the comments as replying every now and then will be too inefficient - rest assured, I read all the comments :-) I believe you are talking about broker amount opening from RDA - if that's the case, 5000 is being withheld by the CDC for future fees etc. Anything over and above that will reflect on the broker system. However, a broker can impose certain lower threshold for the account to start operating like for AHL I know they ask for 25k PKR for the non - RDA account. For the new broker account I opened through RDA, I have chosen Next Capital who apparently does not have any restrictions like that and I have started trading with 20K PKR in the account. Arif Habib is good actually. Not sure if you are referring to MCB Arif Habib for mutual funds?

1 - If overseas, you do not have to declare any activity within RDA.
2 - I am perfectly fine with RDA / PSX. Your broker should be a good one though.

1- You can not use USD RDA account for stock trading. I'd recommend opening a second RDA account in PKR for that purpose.

If it’s in PKR, no exchange loss is faced. Only when you repatriate back - you will get the prevailing interbank rates

Salary certificate should work - but explain this to the RM and he can guide you the best.
