The Kobe 1 Protro spoiled me and a lot of people I think because that’s how you protro a shoe and that’s why it’s my favorite in his line and will always be in my rotation. Every other protro really has just been a retro.
Had these and ended up returning them after two sessions. Pain putting them on since the midsole was extra grippy and the tongue was inflexible. Loved the court feel and grip but didnt feel worth $190 price tag. Ill wait for a Player 1 plus in a colorway I like to drop.
In my 20s the 8s were in my top 3 GOAT shoe to play in along with the 9s, now in my late 30s I wouldn’t even try to play in either one. Prefer the 4,5,6’s. Got a W on the Venice Beaches but they’ll only be worn casually.
After the players plus 1’s the 8s don’t really interest me. The ogs I had are still serviceable especially now that every ones making drop ins for them.

i use spo explosive drop ins in my kobe 8 cp & venice instantly makes cushion better, makes the heel higher though
Same size midsole? Or did you go half size down?
