Great review James I got this guy a few weeks ago but haven't opened him up yet as I got no room to display him yet. From everyone's reviews and unboxings it seems the Gillie suit is lacking or should be a full body cover like a real Gillie suit. I think since it covers his back and head only having him posed on his stomache or prone position with his head slightly poking out and aiming his rifle would work. Gonna have to play around with him and see. If the suit sucks then an Aftermarket or 3rd party vendor who makes a full Gillie suit will be needed to improve the whole aeshetic.
I have yet to acquire this but I love the look of this figure in general. The Ghillie Suit is very hit or miss but fits the niche of this who love snipers and want a decent ghillie. I say this as I got the winter suit set and put it on an Arctic Steel brigade and that really sells the look a lot better.

I love Valaverse stuff. But I'm honest enough to admit the sniper gear, in particular the Swiffer... I mean Ghillie Suit is a little disappointing for its costs. My main gripe with it is it does not conform to the figure well enough. The hood isn't really a well shaped hood Which makes it look and feel like your strapping a giant fuzzy and shedding green gingerbread man to the figure. The sniper rifle feels kind of meh other than the camo paint. And the case? Bobby originally designed the case used by GI Joe Classified Lowlight. The Blowback/Arctic case looks and feels more like an overseas shipping case, rather than what the Sniper is going to carry his weapon into the field in. Blowback himself is a fantastic figure. And would be competing for best of the wave with the Swarm tracer if it wasn't for the Swiffer Suit and its elevated price. But that's just my 2c. And yes I know that Gridiron makes a somewhat better multi textured Ghillie Suit. It's also quite expensive.
This was the first Valaverse figure that really caught my eye. But the reviews and the price are making this a pass for me. I have picked up a few other VV figures and have really liked them. So I’m hoping the Blowback is rereleased in a different configuration without the sniper and suit.
