    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  ปีที่แล้ว

      What resources are you using? I'd recommend using practice tests and follow along in a developer org to do what the questions are asking. Some practice tests allow you to focus on a section of the exam so you can drill down into a principle well.

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure that is the right question. How familiar are you with Salesforce? Are you familiar with database/CRMs? What resources are you using? Answering those questions will guide you in how much time it may take to feel confident taking the exam.

    I wonder if the exam questions are going to be more geared towards the retirement from permissions on profiles. You would think they would want learning content to match this change so they can instil the new best practices.Ex: this is now how you should be using profiles and what is now is permission sets and why permission set groups will be so key.

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Hey , I have a doubt. While explaining OWD you said if a support team member want to see all records and not just their own then you can use support profile to open up access to them but that isn't correct. Even after having read, write and edit access for Cases object on the support profile they can't access other's records if OWD is private. You need to create Case sharing rule for that. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I have been using Salesforce on the sales end Since 2011. I watched all the sections and will have to again because I failed horrendously yesterday. I was scoring 75%-87% constantly on the Practice exams all week and not just memorizing the answers. I was a incensed and disconcerted when the practice tests left me with a false sense of preparation. I equate it to taking Italian 101 all semester and then the Final they slide you a Portuguese 101 exam where the Latin based language connection would make you feel like I did at the testing facility yesterday, confused af!. Like the test I was taking was set in Back to the Future II's Alternate 1985 (where Biff is rich, powerful and married to my Mother! ) Do I really need to do these Trail Mixes, modules etc? Every last one? I'm going to crush this second take. Glad I got the nerves out finally but the nerves have subsided into frustration. be back Monday to begin training again.

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lol your analogies are amazing! Sorry for the frustration the first take has caused you. You absolutely need hands on practice. This means trailhead, super badges, work through questions in a dev org, etc. Even if you don't memorize answers for practice tests, that visual and building component of studying is 10x more valuable than anything else.
      My videos help, but nothing replicates actually clicking through the Setup side yourself just as I do in the videos.

    I just started learning Salesforce, and what I'm struggling with is understanding how companies use Salesforce. Every explanation online says that it's a CRM and then highlights the high level services they provide, but then when I go in to Salesforce and try to understand the interface, I don't understand how any of it is connected to CRM.
    For example, when you started talking about apps and managing apps - what even is an app? Why do I need apps within an "app" (salesforce)? What do these apps do? It would be nice to know that before explaining how to reorganize apps, where to find apps and so on...

    I had recently started my journey in wanting to pursue becoming a salesforce administrator and bought a course on udemy in hopes that would provide me with all the information I needed. As much as it is very informative and has taught me some things, I did not fully comprehend everything the teacher was talking about and was craving a better understanding over what is actually going on not having any prior knowledge or experience with salesforce or any sort of administrative role. I am more than grateful to have come upon your channel and just by watching the first video I already have a better understanding of the first 20% of the information I am going to need for the exam!! I find myself better understanding the way you explain everything and even enjoy listening to your voice more HAHAHA🤣!! Thank you for all the help and taking time to make these videos I sincerely appreciate it and can't wait to get my career in salesforce started!

      You're not alone in feeling that way when first learning about Salesforce! There is A LOT of information to learn and little guidance on how to organize your learning process. I'm glad the videos have helped give structure to your journey into Salesforce! My #1 advice as you learn, is to have a free developer org open as you study and learn new concepts. As you read/watch something new, go into the free developer org and DO/BUILD that principle. That's the best way to learn the concept in my opinion.
      Best of luck in your studies and always feel free to let me know if you have any more questions or need further clarity on something!
