Small detail I like is that link has chainmail under his tunic to give a sense of he actually does have armor not just a shirt that somehow protects him yet the tunic is around it to keep the hero’s look
Just saying, this was my introduction to the Zelda series. My grandparents had the game alongside Call of Duty : World at War on Wii and we played it at their house quite a bit (which was in the middle of nowhere btw). Eventually they let us take both games home since we liked it so much, and we played it to death on our Wii U. 11/10 Game. And the final duel will never cease to amaze me.
I love midnas companion relationship cause link essentially hated her in that first meeting she was only seeing him as a tool for her own goal only to the part where midna almost dies and it shows how much their opinions about each other changed

I come back to this Let’s Play every so often. Easily my favorite on TH-cam. I’ve deleted most of my comments on these though, because the autism is palpable in the way I talked to people even just a few years ago. A lot has happened since those days. I played this game when I was a young boy, and remember it fondly as my first Zelda and one of my first video games in general. Watching one of my favorite Internet personalities go through it is very nostalgic, and as I move into adulthood it’s nice to see things like this to remind me of what it was like to have nothing more to worry about than beating Twilight Princess. Thanks, Peebs!

I was the guy who coined the name. I didn’t intend on it being phallic, but I then remembered that it was a phallic joke that me and my friend (who actually introduced me to PBG) started. Super cool, though, and Twilight Princess is one of my favorites!
I feel that, “Pingus Dingus” is a solid part of me and my friend’s vocabulary, and people usually think we’re using it as a secret way to say dtf

I'm unsure if I played Zelda 1 or Zelda OoT first, since I had both consoles.

I always wonder if I want to get the HD version of the game, but I'm not sure. If it's not flipped and whatever heck else the Wii version did to this game, I might. Otherwise, I'll just turn my Gamecube back on. Though the beginning makes me remember how much I dislike Ilia.

@@MessApathy Gotta admit, I don't like that, either. They shouldn't lock something into a specific mode so that, if you don't like that, well, you don't play that part.
The game was flipped in HD depending on difficulty setting....

@@CatMuto I think Hard Mode was the Wii version orientation, normal mode was GameCube orientation

@@CatMuto What do you mean? Difficulty options are great. They make it so one person can get the same experience, just at a different skill level. Once they get good at that level, they can play the harder difficulty.

I mean, if I want to play on a certain difficulty, I should not have to play the 'mirrored version' for it. I should be able to play Hero Mode with Link remaining left handed. As it is, there is just NO reason why the HD version had to lock the Wii-right-handed-ness behind a difficulty change.

I sold my wii so I would like a switch port as well to replay it.
The Wii’s still worth it, you can play Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, DKC Returns, Metroid Prime, and I think Virtual Console, but I dunno if they shut that last part down.
Point is, there’s tons of great games for the Wii. Regardless, a Switch point would be nice.

The biggest flaws of twilight princess is the massive slog of an intro and the fact that Links tools become pretty useless after their main dungeon bar a couple of exceptions.
@BlaizeTheDragon I actually liked the intro. Maybe just nostalgia because TP was my first Zelda (and really one of my first games). But I always felt that it gave the player a personal stake in the adventure by giving Link a place in the world and something to fight for. His peaceful, idyllic farm village in a mystical forest is a life I’d love to have and strive to emulate.

You should have downloaded the fan texture pack to make the game look better. I honestly think the modded Wii version looks better than the official HD version.

@@_-insertname-_ I am really enjoying my stay here , with constant debates about Botw placement in the timeline or fanfics about link x Sidon , this fandom community is awesome , even though I haven't experienced the previous Zelda titles but I watched there gameplay , it's literally amazing and really different from breath of the wild , wind waker comes second on my top favourite Zelda games.
@Asahi Takeshi That‘s great to hear, I haven’t played Wind Waker either, but it sure looks like an amazing game! My second favorite game is actually Breath of the wild with first place going to twilight princess, even though these games are basically polar opposites. And the timeline debates...they were already incredibly fun before, but BotW just brought them to a whole new level. So hey, I‘m glad your liking it here!

man you keep saying its reversed or flipped, its not the wii version is the mirror version you can see in the map that the directions are complete opposite from the usual layout of hyrule (that does change from game to game but directions are always the same) and also by link himself he is lefthanded and in resent years people forget that (sorry if im too passionate about this game or links hand dominance but up to the last century left handed people were seen as evil/ spawn of the devil or plain freaks of nature that shouldnt exist people were reprogramed to be right handed and man we need some representation and its nice to have an heroic lefty role model like link that is coming from a guy whose grandmother cries over the fact he is lefthanded and when she wanted to try and make me write with the right or shall i say the wrong hand my mother told her that this isnt russia we cant treat children or people in general like that)
