What a blast from the past...about 30 years ago me and my mates lived in Dairsie and this was our local wood. We were the only ones riding back then and built the first jumps there. One trail you could do 45mph down and back then on those bikes that was shifting...even before V-brakes...haha! Some horse riders tried to stop us going in there so we went to D.C.Thompsons (Beano and Dandy guy) house who owned the woods back then and asked him if we could still go in there. He was impressed that we had come round to ask and gave us permission to go in anytime and he even put up no horse riding signs! Nice guy :) Is the old steel cable 'rope' swing still there?

Superb Tony! Glad you liked it and thanks for the sub!
It was a little bit wet when we went so hopefully it’s not to bad when you go. I’d like to go back when it’s nice and dry.

Aw man! Thanks for the heads up. We’ll be going back again in the drier weather anyway so I’ll have a look at it then. Thanks mate! 👍

nice vid dude. the last trail you did isnt mud monster though. its just a new trail some young boys have built over the last year. when you come down the wee shoot at the start you'll see there is a trail goes off to the right - that is the mud monster trail. it then goes into the pine forrest through some nice loamy stuff.

Hey David, thanks mate, glad you liked it! Aw man I got it wrong! It’s a little difficult trying to follow Trailforks when there’s a couple of trails in the same area. I know exactly where that is now. Thanks for the update. Can you answer me this.... see after the jumps on Buddah, we stopped. Then there’s another gap after the path and we carried on down. At 06:31 there’s a tree with a blue arrow going straight on and a red arrow going right into the trees. What trails are those? Is straight on Buddah? Should we have carried on? What’s it like? And what’s the red arrow into the trees like.

@@MountainBikePete ok, so those jumps arent on buddha either, buddha is slightly further over the hill. at 6:31 the trail that you follow is an old old one that i cant remember the name of. the one into the right with the red arrow is mud monster though and its awesome. it starts where you thought it did, but then hangs right immediately rather than going straight on the new one i mentioned like you guys did, then it cuts over about 100m and comes out at that red arrow on the tree and just ducks into the trees there.

@@dangerousdave1970 Aw Man! I’ve had a right nightmare here!! I thought I was doing well just following Trailforks! I had an idea that one to the right might have been Mud Monster.
I think next time we come I’ll give you a shout mate and if you’re free maybe show us around properly!?

@@MountainBikePete I'd be more than happy to show you around. I know the place very well. I'm out of action at the moment and may be out for most of the winter as I'm waiting on some pretty meaty back surgery at the moment.

@@dangerousdave1970 Aw man. Speedy recovery. It probably won’t be until next year anyway now when it’s a bit drier.
