Kishomoto described Naruto as a person who never goes back on his word and never gives up. If he makes him fall out of love with Sakura he is basically erasing everything about his personality (and that's 80% of the show). It would be like throwing the whole show in the water.
i will always love this couple no matter what kishi ends up creating, honestly i believe if he does end up making a choice it will only be for the money. sadly i see a lot more hinata fans so if anything he will go based on that. either way im never gonna change sakura is the best and naruto deserves to win the love of the one hes loved for so long

I know I'm 10 years too late but that is exactly what happened, not mention they made Naruto's feelings for Sakura a lie and shallow.
