- I haven't seen any videos like this of Social Distortion so here you go! Enjoy some hilarious clips of Mike Ness and Jonny 2 Bags doin' some funny things. I'm a HUGE fan of Social Distortion, and it's only mandatory for me to make a "Funny Moments" video :) It took me FOREVER to find all these clips so please like the video and leave a cool comment! Maybe even subscribe... (I rarely post so don't worry about me jackin' up your notifications. Haha!) Thank you for watching and have a good day!
I'm a huge fan as well. when they played in louisville I met Mike Ness after the show, I was drunk and embraced him in a hug and he did not like that at all. he tensed up , I thought he was gonna hit me, instead he signed my ticket. he didn't say a word. to this day, I have regretted that moment. he does not like being touched. I don't either, so I know how he feels. thank you for putting this together.
I just found out Mike was born in Lynn, Massachusetts. To quote "Lynn Lynn the city of sin, you'll never come out the way you went in." Cool
These gentlemen are too funny!
And I must add one one more thing. If Social Distortion were popular, than the music they play would become mainstream and the punks and rockers would oppose that kind of music. So if rock n' roll and punk rock became popular music, than the auto-tuned shit today would be unpopular. And people like us would listen to them. That's my theory, anyways, But be glad Social Distortion isn't on the radio often. Their music is only for lucky people like us ;)
What was the song when he fked the solo up on the acoustic
I'm a new fan; loved the personal perspectives and trivia. Thank you!!
so you still a new fan.
Mommies Little Monster was released when I was in Jr High and it completely changed my life . Moral Threat was my theme song for years . Now I’m a 54 year old sober single father covered in tattoos and scars . It’s been a wild ride but I wouldn’t change a thing .
Great Clips :) Think social d is the most underrated band in Music industry today. Mike ness is a true working class hero .. big respect from norway !!
Thanks for sharing! Social D Rocks!
i agree
SOCIAL D have always been so generous to roll through Cleveland. Been to every show especially at the Rock hall a few years ago. Ummm.... why don't they ever get nominated for the hall of fame?!
How have they NOT been on the cover of the Rolling Stone?
MorganxMalicious It's politics.
MorganxMalicious I agree with Mike. "fuck Rolling Stone" ;)
I’m glad they haven’t. Rs sucks.
Rolling Stone would want to be on the cover of Social Distortion ;)
Because Rolling Stone has been out of touch and sucked for over 2 decades now. Sad.
Mike is like a combination of Andrew dice clay and Mickey Rourke
Lmfao
I don't see that at all....matha fackaaaaaaaa
Thank you for sharing i enjoyed watching this ..
Thanks for answering I couldn't even find the video myself haha
The freak out is from the Punk Tour of Summer 1992. They went on a shitty broken old bus with the Better Youth Operation to show the world what Punks are all about. fun fact.
you mean more like 1982? It's in the Another State of Mind Documentary.
Sorry, meant to put 1982. I know, I just watched that documentary before commenting. It was an amazing documentary. Never seen a punk film like it
Better youth organization.
was that Malibu Dan doing one of the interviews?
from the doc punks not dead
"Heroin and transvestites" Mike Ness
2:05 :O whos dat smexy man
What's the song at 6:25?
don't think twice, its alright. but it seems like there just like fiddlin around with the song.
Okay, thank you!
not a' problem bud.
No its king of fools acoustic version
mike is my moms friends son
my dad is the guy interviewing him at 0:55 haha! thanks for putting it in the compilation. i've had the pleasure of meeting mike and he's a really chill guy
That's AWESOME! Haha! Mike is one of my biggest musical heroes and inspirations. And you're welcome!
i grew up in long Beach and playing shows all over Orange County in the early 00's. Getting lucky enough to open for the bands i loved; D.I., Adolescents, TSOL & Social D. Mike Ness was one of the coolest guys i got to meet. Stark contrast between the usual attitude of most older musicians.
He’s too cool isn’t he I love him 😍
That is so cool
I need a mike ness bio-pic starring Giovanni ribisi playing him, it would work
That was cool thanx!
Great compilation! Thanks for posting.
Cool video thanks!!
Lol this was good
how many of your friends have a half-bit off ear?
thx for the vid bro...
Man he's got somethin' to brag about there, lol.
And you're welcome!
+Mr.Sickboy i have a bit off ear! lol! imma new fan! just found him! I love him! New footage anywhere? just asking. . heS got a lot! Just wanted to know, he cracks me up and I love his music!
Yes, look up "Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes" that is his most recent album, in 2011. Also, look up "Mike Ness 2015" and you'll see a lot of cool stuff!
You might want to check out my channel actually... I have a lot of cool recent stuff on there, such as a recent meet and greet I had with Mike Ness himself!
Where is that cartoon from?
Painting houses, huh?🤨😉
This guy deserved everything he got and then some! Political dissent is the heart of punk rock, from the 70s: Sex Pistols "ANARCHY IN THE UK", "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN" Chelsea "RIGHT TO WORK", Stiff Little Fingers "ALTERNATIVE ULSTER" to today's punk rock such as the somewhat unspoken about Anti-Flag. In this case the majority of their songs strike out at politics. Politics are more a foundation of punk rock than spiked hair!! Pull your head out of your ass. You got just what you should have expected!!
😱 🤠 😜
❤
good job dude, SD is such a great band they r legends and im a big fan but I don't know why media spotlight shity bands and artists and Neglect the great ones like SD, for example if u google one direction or avril lavigne u will find thousands and thousands of pages about them lives and what they eat and what they wear but when u google mike ness u will find a small article in wikipedia!! what the F happened to the world.2:15 mike don't give a damn about the rolling stone magazine lol
Oh man, what's that show at 4:28? I totally remember it, it was on UHF 56 KDOC. It must have been affiliated with KROQ. I remember Big Drill Car being on it as well, might have been the same episode even.
That's definitely the Poorman... But I can't recall either! I'll have to ask around
+Ynnadodgers I wanna say it was "[Something] Videos"...
It was "Poorman's Bikini Beach". It was the cheesiest show ever, but it actually had some good "local" bands on it. Peace.
The more I think about it, it might be "Request Video". Now I'm not sure, that was a long time and many brain cells ago. Peace.
+TheMisterMonkeyman Request Video, that was it. Cheers!
funny shit Mike, like when you spit in another's face then pummeled the dude while he was being held, coward type funny
Thx for the vid Mrs. Sickgirl. Been hooked them since early 90s. Amazing how Mike has changed over the years.
It's more like Ms. Sickgirl, lol. And no problem! I also like how much he has changed.
