this relationship is so complex and yet it is my absolute favorite in the entire series. I love how difficult it is to understand, and how a small piece of information could change absolutely everything. Im proud to say I loved Snape from the beginning, same for Harry. But when watching the first few movies, I would have absolutely never guessed how much of a true hero Snape was. I have so much sympathy for him its hard to put into words.
This is so beautiful. Snape and Harry is my favorite relationship of the series for how complex it is and how it could have been different if Harry knew the truth sooner. Like fics of a young Harry learning Snape knew his mom and going to him for stories and coming to see Snape as the most dependable adult in his life are my fave.
idk I just hate him bc of the way he bullied children, some of whom had tragic backstories themselves(Harry and the Dursleys, and Neville's parents) and also how he wouldn't have switched sides if Lily's life hadn't been in danger, and also how he was fine with Harry and James dying if it meant that Lily would live.
I don't know I used to love snape after watching the movies but as soon as i read the books mypoint of view completely changed I felt his obsession was a bit immature

Did anyone notice that when Harry used spell on Snape to see his dark memories Snape got really really furious and was about to hit him but he stopped when he made eye contact with him. Because Harry had eyes similar to his mother which Snape clearly remembers and mentions. This shows how much he loved Lily . How pure his love was ! Really I have very much respect for him.
My heart hurts double watching this: For Severus, because he was the best, most human, most tragic character of the franchise and for Mr. Rickman who had to leave us far too early. Unpopular opinion: I would have loved it if snape actually showed he liked Harry, he cared more about him then dumbeledore, Harry was a pig to slaughter to dumledore. Snape cared more
I think if snape made an effort and see harry like lily instead of james they could have a good relationship. I think deep down he saw lily in harry. He has his eyes and his personality is more like lily not james. I see harry as a good person, he is not a bully and a little bit shy sometimes. I think he looks more like lily than james. Snape unfortunetelly was to proud to talk to harry more gently. I think he cared for harry. If he had survived maybe both of them harry and snape could became more close because of lily. @@VikiSLevine Both of them were great men in their own rights, but let’s count until James’s death. James was definitely the greater man when he was 21 than Snape.
Nope ,he wanted him to know the plans his innocence and loyalty towards Dumbledore . His love for Lily and the sacrifices he gave for Harry and Hogwarts. Let me tell you in books snape was not good as James.
Harry being by his side, while he was dying, gave him comfort, because in a way Lily was with him in that moment, so he did not die alone. Snape my favorite character in the series.
Everyone who says Snape ‘bullied’ Harry. Grow up, he was a strict teacher. He loved the boy dearly. And after all these years you find out that he was the one protecting Harry, and the reason Harry was even alive. So if you say Snape was evil I’m sorry to break it to you but you understood nothing from the books/movies. And i don’t think Harry would have named his kid after him if he wasn’t a great man.
I know, I really detest it when people say snape “bullied Harry” he just was toughening him and he truly cared for him. For example: snapes first words to Harry were “...Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?” . This is actually the Victorian language of flowers and when translated, it means “I bitterly regret Lily’s death” Snape truly cared for Harry...

Snape is one of my favorite characters nowadays and the older i have gotten the clearer it is for me why he did those things, while i was growing up i didn't understand why he behaved on that particular way with Harry and why he hated James Potter so much, and that made him one of the characters that i didn't like at all but since i watched the last Harry Potter movie i understood all the suffering that he got trough since he was a kid until he graduated from Hogwarts he was not a bad or a good individual, he was just a person who could be seen from our own perspective as "GREY". And despite of the fact that he was part of Voldemort's side he still was faithful to Dumbledore and always was there for him and always tried to help Harry in everything that he could even if it remind him how James, Sirius, Peter and Lupin treated him and most importantly he always loved Lily since the day he met her until the day that he died and that's something that i will always admire from him. He will always be one of the greatest characters in that particular world.

@@imliterallygongetviolent4991 yh I agree with you, but Lily was still being a lousy friend by abandoning her BEST FRIEND, that taught her her first things about magic, just because he said something one time and didn't mean it and because her other friends were judging her because she was hanging out with him. I believe that if she would stick with him and not give up on him he would've never became a death eater. Although I guess if he hadn't become a death eater Harry would be dead in book/movie one at the quidditch game lol. 😂
@@hscucarache4801 He is not her best friend anymore
I’m Gonna Cry In A Hole, Wanna Join?🕳🚶🏻♀️
this relationship is so complex and yet it is my absolute favorite in the entire series.
The way and the sounds, of nagani killing snape, just runs chills down my spine.
I can’t understand why ppl hate snape so much like he’s a really good guy I guess y’all haven’t truly loves a person or feel the pain
idk I just hate him bc of the way he bullied children, some of whom had tragic backstories themselves(Harry and the Dursleys, and Neville's parents) and also how he wouldn't have switched sides if Lily's life hadn't been in danger, and also how he was fine with Harry and James dying if it meant that Lily would live.
After part 2 everything change
yah i love snape more than harry and james
I don't know I used to love snape after watching the movies but as soon as i read the books mypoint of view completely changed I felt his obsession was a bit immature
@@sofiarussell4036 He willingly joined the deatheaters, don't spread the misinformation. He only turned spy when Lily died, and she died partly beacuse of him. And if he ever truly loved Lily, he wouldn't joined the group that tried to kill people like her.
No the real snape I mean the book snape actually hit him
@@kostavborah1009 With a jar of dead cockroaches. He really was furious.
That's why the story and the chatacters are legendary.....and this video is showing it perfectly.
Two characters who had tragic lives...
My heart hurts double watching this: For Severus, because he was the best, most human, most tragic character of the franchise and for Mr. Rickman who had to leave us far too early. Severus Snape will always be my favourite HP character, or probably just my favourite fictional character and Mr. Rickman, you are truly and dearly missed!
Yassssss!!!! RIP alan rickman
They deserved better 😫😢
I hated Snape before saw the deathly hallows.
Then I hated myself for hating him.
Same he lived unhappy protecting his bullys son and he just wanted to be the Dad
Exactly 😥
Like I feel sorry for myself to hate someone that actually so lovely.
Yes 😫🤧😢
@@iwatchyoutube9037 I find it odd sometimes that Snape could've been Harry's dad
This underrated edit is chefs kiss

*HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭💔* MY HEART’S WAY TOO HEAVY NOW
Harry:the boy who lived
Snape:the man who sacrificed himself
Hermione:the girl who knew
Ron:the boy who waited
Draco:the boy who had no choice
Tom riddle:the boy who made all the wrong choices
Ginny:the girl who fought
Luna:the girl who believed
Neville:the boy who hoped
Dumbledore:the man who tried

Harry:How can I lie the bravest man I've ever known?
😭
Marisol. SNAPE. Harry
Is so good I love him so much I can't believe he gone and I am cry so hard right know🥺🥺😭
His last words were “look at me” he said it to see Lily’s eyes once more before he died
Knowing the meaning of that scene hits me like a ton of bricks
That's why Snape is my favourite character 😭😭
Same
Unpopular opinion: I would have loved it if snape actually showed he liked Harry, he cared more about him then dumbeledore, Harry was a pig to slaughter to dumledore. Snape cared more
Dumbledore wasn't interesting if Harry was gonna die, he was for him JUST a student, but Snape was care so much but he didn't showed and he died
Maybe a father to him or a friend
@@laurall1767 everyone acting like that Dumbledore is a death eater. Dumbledore did that for a reason, and lets see why?
@@ahmedayaat2727 why?
@@laurall1767 go and read deathly hallows King's Cross Station chapter, Dumbledore may have not told him that he was a Horcrux, and few other things, but they both were very kind with each other, Dumbledore was like a grandfather to Harry. Or be like great grandfather
The man who was dying inside but still saving others ❤️
The character that you think has the lowest capacity to love, turns out to be someone who can love the most

I LOVE THIS. It made me realise how their relationship changed the series.

Not really.

I love that the Harry Potter community is still alive even today.
And is still going strong! :D
I think the only reason why Snape let Harry explore his memories for so long is for the reason that Harry thinks his father was a great man. Snape wanted to let Harry know his father indeed *was not* a great man.
Snape was more of a great man than James ever was honestly.
@@VikiSLevine Both of them were great men in their own rights, but let’s count until James’s death. James was definitely the greater man when he was 21 than Snape.
@@-cosmixnebulae-7398 yeah
I never liked James
Nope ,he wanted him to know the plans his innocence and loyalty towards Dumbledore . His love for Lily and the sacrifices he gave for Harry and Hogwarts. Let me tell you in books snape was not good as James.
And you have me crying again, thanks Evelyn ❤️😌
Yes THANKS
Harry being by his side, while he was dying, gave him comfort, because in a way Lily was with him in that moment, so he did not die alone. Snape my favorite character in the series.

After All This Time......ALWAYS
When I saw how Snape treated Harry, I thought to myself “why”. But now I see, Snape didn’t hate him, instead he cared for him.
This is actually the Victorian language of flowers and when translated, it means “I bitterly regret Lily’s death” Snape truly cared for Harry...
completely agreed. anyone who thinks differently is being quite arrogant tbh because it’s not an opinion it’s an actual fact. they clearly aren’t true fans if they can’t take a fact
@@harrypotteredits4332 I think Snape was a truly good guy and a hero in the end, but you can't deny he did bully Harry. He took out his hatred of James on the poor boy for 7 years! Snape always tried to make sure Harry failed, preferred every student over him, gave him detention over everything, always found something nasty to say, etc. So Snape wasn't a bad person, but he made Harry's life miserable. That's not the same as toughening up.
@@suranjanad1721 yeah i agree with that. i can’t deny that he DID bully harry, but i can’t help but think that the story would have been realistic if he was kind and fatherly. i think it really helps that we all hate him and fall in love with him in one scene, the story has just been planned out really beautifully
@@suranjanad1721 and he tried to make sure harry failed because he didn’t want him at hogwarts. in the fifth book it goes into details lily’s blood and how harry can’t be harmed while he’s at the dursley’s, so snape just wanted him to be there so he couldn’t be harmed. snape didn’t necessarily “bully” harry i wouldn’t say. i’d say he’s very strict, also mean. he wanted harry to learn yet be safe. although he wasn’t a nice person in general, i’m with snape on almost everything he did, based on everything told in the chapter “the lost prophecy” in the book The Order of the Phoenix.
I have been watching so much harry potter edits. Woah woah somebody please help to stop the Goosebumps

This edit is just amazing...I started crying watching it 😭😭
When I first watched Harry Potter I hated snape but when I watched it for the second time I realized he was actually always saving harry and eventually he started caring for him....when he died my heart literally broked 🥺💔
Introverts are destined to be misunderstood, Snape is the clear example.
The real hero of harry potter is professor Severus Snape, not even Albus Dumbeldore."He is the bravest man I have ever known" was really a true statement.Just can't explain his bravery, loyalty and love for Lily...really heart-touching 😘😍
It’s 3 am and I’m getting a whole lot of feelings I wasn’t prepared for right now 😭
How can someone give this genius of a performance and not win an Oscar is the only question I keep asking myself, everytime I think of him?
This video is emotional. He always cared for Harry. He just didn’t show it! Even though Snape showed 0 emotions, he secretly cared. That’s why he defended Harry against Bellatrix 🥺
I was gonna cry whatching it during videolesson
A icon. He shouldn't have died- I loved this man 🥺😔
