It feels like death is always described... the darkest moment, yet strangely warm and in a horrific way welcoming, meanwhile it makes one sad and lost...
Since it's death Knight music, I like to think of it as the Frost factor of a Death Knight. Like frozen air and chilling bodies to the core. It just feels both sleek yet stiff at the same time.
arthas was never the lich king, it's ner'zhul, every action, every decision, whoever took the helm of domination, their soul bound to it and controlled by the true master, Ner'Zhul
You can just imagine and wonder how many souls have been murdered, tortured, turned and reanimated again by the scourge, and all of that could have been avoided.... Sigh, not just the epic music but even the thought about it gives me chills the whole story is and will be one of the greatest in history of gaming, hands down

I remember coming back in WoD playing my death knight, and suddenly heard this in Ebon Hold I thought it had been forgotten with the death of Arthas, but I love how they've kept his memory ringing in the halls of the death knights
This song symbolizes the hero that a Death Knight once was, and the pain and misery they had endured while being an undead monster. It also shows how they still have a soul within them.
It's awesome because that first part is sorrowful and heavy. echoes of long forgotten glories of these fallen heroes who now are cursed to walk azeroth as beasts. then the second part is angry, determined, and full of vengeance.

Everytime i here Arthas's music i get chills, but with every WOTLK music i get chills just cause its so amazing
Epic music to an epic game! Long live Arthas as the Lich King! My favorite expansion.........I miss wrath soooooo much! (starts crying)
Such sadness in this song. Like dreams forever lost. I love this story arch in warcraft history. Arthas' story (in my opinion) was actually real sad.
0:37 remember chillin in ebon hold with my 277IL tier and shadows edge while these vocals were playing.. Emotional :'(
I LOVE it dude, you just explained the feeling perfectly.
We are driven by a single purpose: Retribution.
Best of blizz's music in a long while
What really makes me shudder is the completion of becoming a Lich King, ripping ur heart from ur chest with ur bare hands...
Man, if more of the game music sounded like this I wouldn't play with it off all the time >.>
Best soundtrack in the game
From 00:59 to 01:20 always gives me chills. Everytime I'm there I wait for this music. It captures the utter hatred the 'free' deathknights have for the Lich King's betrayal. Their souls have been torn apart, and only the deep fire of vengeance can offer only the slightest sliver of retribution.
Goosebumps.
Every time that particular melody starts (0:37 in this video) I always picture Arthas, walking through the frozen, barren land surrounding his throne. To know I've killed him and he'll soon be a distant memory is kinda sad :(
2:43 I need this as my door bell
ive long since retired my DK, fitted with full heroic 25 ICC gear (all obtained while WotLK was current) he now stands on the top of my character list holding onto the Shadowsedge he never got to complete. I miss Wrath.
Oh lord this music 1:28 oh my god
