You touched the plus and minus of living in kaneohe... yes. Gardenings and breezy tradewinds... i got my basil TREE... eggplants. Onions. Heliconias. Birds of paradise. Gingers. Green, red Ti leaves . Star of india, banana. Guava trees.. blueberries ... but also Alas out up with noisy chickens. Rats. Spiders. Geckos. I enjoy the mountains , waterfalls. Country sides and roadside vendors and food truck. Haleiwa joe is next door ...the beautiful restaurant and wedding spots. .. windward mall is just right... and plenty of mom n pops restaurants nearby. The 7/11 nearby got my fav chickencurry manapua , tostitos and poi/ shave ice or shrimp hash. But yes we dont need more tourists... nor snail traffic. HPU and windward college and buses serve locals and students well. I feel blessed to be truly living in paradise. I just need better gardener with immaculate weeding skills ( at 78... hard to get up after bending and weeding lol) . Kaneohe just need a chinese restaurant to serve yummy Dimsum .
its the area I'm keeping an eye on most, lol . just fell in love with that side, prices seem higher for homes/condos/townhouses though than the other sides.

Awesome! The market is shifting but yes, in comparison to some other areas Kaneohe can be a little more expensive.
