- I really wanted to like Hello Neighbor 2. The world and story are gripping and enthralling, and the puzzle/chase gameplay is fun (when it works). I can see why the series has become so wildly popular.
But the things that either don’t work or otherwise get in the way of the experience really got me down. Maybe the inevitable Hello Neighbor 3 will get it right. - เกม

Took me 10 minutes to realize I was not gonna have a good time.
Why are people so prone to hating this series. I’ve play both and enjoyed them and never have had a negative experience, this was on my buggy ps4. Honestly can someone please explain why Idk why at all.
Because none of them know how much work and time was put into the game.
@@qutis_brutus Yeah but there kept talking about all this stuff that wasn't in this game. I mean even the alphas are better then the main game. Bendy and the dark revival I believe had a smaller team and that was extremely better then this. I mean even compare the first hello neighbor's ai to this game's ai and you'll see the difference on how much better the first games ai was
It looks like they took out a lottttttt of stuff from the trailers they released. Changed up the story, took out characters, the A.I wasn't nowhere as good as the first game or as good as they said it'll be. The puzzle's itself was fun at least. But yeahh the bugs really took away from it and the ending definitely felt like it was rushed. Made it seem like it was supposed to be something else but they just made it a different ending last min. Was very disappointed.
That's why i hate these new bad lead game designers
It's one of those games that are so broken and buggy that speedrunning fans enjoy the hell out of it.
Apparently this one could be finished in 3 minutes.
I wonder if they're gonna beg for a game theory on this one

As someone who suffered through the entirety of the original Hello Neighbor until getting the PS4 platinum trophy, I can say with full confidence that the only reason this series still exists is because of dumb kids that are easily won over by a mildly interesting premise. It's one of the most broken, poorly thought out, and miserably executed experiences you can have while holding a controller.
Not a kid, but I saw the trailer and with it reminding me of older games I love I almost jumped the gun and bought a copy. However I did decide to check the reviews, so now...
One of the games seeing HN2 made me think of was NOLF or rather the NOLF series, a series I so hope someone will do a remake of or even better a new episode for. I highly recommend checking it out - it must be available in some shape somehow.

@@TROBassGuitar No One Lives Forever. It is a FPS spy game from 2000. It is sort of like James Bond movies from the sixties, but with better humor and a lot more charm - the soundtrack is also better. There is also a sequel which is also good.
For some reason there is no modern remakes of the games, but I think it fair to say they have aged very well - good game play and charm never goes out of style.

Not only that there isn’t even a new game button on top of that I didn’t even know there was a drone till I watched this video
The drone is a dlc that isn't worth it. And the new game button is just in the menu somewhere
I actually really hate hello neighbor because it's the most stupid and not scary horror game in the whole galactic.
Hello Neighbour 2 is way better. At least now it's can get me scared some times. And i really love level design and the graphic of this game, this looks very good
There made 5 places. All the night time levels are in the same building. The other 4 are so small that you can walk through the whole house in about a minute. The graphics are only good because if there weren't nobody would probably even buy the game.
@@moondrop3855 yeah. This is huge pplus. Now we don't have walking in giant weird baggy house with neighbour who can't even get us in he's own house because he stuck in every corner now it's realistic and complex
@@strawberrymilko3721 I mean not really. I played act 3 of the first game recently and he actually was quite good at finding me through out the house considering it's so large. The hello neighbor 2 ai itself isn't the best. And considering the smaller houses and spaces isn't as good because there's not also of area for them to go. There also just seem to sit at the area's you need to go which I saw happen with the police guy in this game where he would just keep heading upstairs which literally has two rooms up there.There did also promise neural ai for this game where the ai would learn from everyone who played the game which just didn't happen. This game had alot of broken promises in its making and just really isn't good in my opinion.

I like this game
All the games are unfortunately so buggy as to be almost unplayable.
This one isn't quite as bad but is broader in scope than the others and as such has more puzzles to solve, unfortunately if you can't solve a puzzle its sometimes due to bugs rather than an incorrect solution. Knowing if a bug is impeding progress or not isn't alway obvious though and hours can be wasted on a puzzle only to come back later and successfully complete it by doing exactly the same thing that didn't work before.
I agree that the other two games are quite buggy but I do have alot more fun playing them. I mean I'd prefer a remaster of hello neighbor and hide and seek considering there quite good apart from all the bugs

Why no one is talking about how the game changed over time from the announcement trailer to this you can see that both hn1 and 2 are not what the game was meant to be and why people got hyped over it

Steel wool only made the dlcs. Really shows because the both don’t even have endings that you can achieve. Not even joking, there is no ending to them
@@oliverthedum2129 thats what i mentioned, they made dlc for it, meaning the game itself is automatically bad, because they made an add on for it, steel wool has no clue what they are even doing as developers, its hilarious watching them claim to fix things, and then end up rushing it, and saying itll come out sooner than expected, meanwhile the entire thing (what steel wool does) is super rushed and barely even works, take security breach for example, they claimed to fix EVERY BUG IN THE GAME within 1 month, in that 1 month they fixed maybe 3 bugs, which in return added abt 20 new ones, because they cant follow through, it seems like they wait until the last minute and put in barely enough effort to make it playable in the first place. lol sry for the rant, steel wool is just a big group of idiots and im surprised they are even able to charge people for things like security breach (was $50 on release, shouldve been $2 with how much effort went into actually making the game, their rtx isnt even rtx, lol it uses CPU entirely, and at the absolute most 6% gpu, they lie abt pretty much everything, and release some bs they claim to have worked really hard on, even when it seems like they spend 5 hours on the whole thing)

It’s not the 4th game there’s hello engineer and hello neighbor diaries and the HN1 alphas and the HN2 alphas and hello guest.
All of those are spinoffs and early versions of the games

Honestly, Hello Neighbor has never been a good game. They're always incredibly broken, buggy messes with trash ai and poorly thought out plot. I only came here to hear about what they've done this time 🤣 They literally tried SO hard to make this a viral thing, even going so far as to beg Matpat to talk about their lore in several tweets. The desperation for relevancy is STRONG here.
How would you like it if you and your friends all put their hard work and time into their and your very own game and now with the rest of your life although there is good ones BAD reviews and hate.

There also said there adding the rest of the story in a update meaning it was full price and not finished. I mean even Bendy and the dark revival is better then this over sized piece of junk.
