Dive Site - Teigland
Sunk on purpose in 1993 as an artificial reef, the Teigland is a 90 foot "BARGE" (registered in Portland) now resting in 70 feet of water on a flat bottom a few miles away from Great Bay .. Originally sitting upright and intact on top of a ledge , it was dislodged from there by the underwater surge generated by hurricane Luis winds in 1995 and was subsequently "found" on the flat bottom area a hundred feet away from its original position. Of course, she sustained some damages in the process, but now in the holding structure of the barge became a fish play ground
