    Guys, if you are switching tabs apart from these tutorial, then I am sorry you are not paying attention to the tutorial.
    Even others have failed to explain kubernetes in depth. They just mugged up because they have large audiences, so they get easily 3 millions view on their video. But look at his content, it is so underrated. Its time to make this channel go viral so that more students are aware of this pure content. Great video Sir.

    Kubernetes is open-source, but there are certain distribution that provide support and build for providing user experience to its customers. Such as Open shift, rancher,tanzu, eks, aks, gke ..
    They are used in production..
    So distribution provides additional wrapper, plugin and command line tools. But at the end of day solution is same.
    Most used cluster management tool is kops and then kubeadm.
    Kops stands for Kubernetes operations
    * Installation, upgradation, configuration and deleetion are part of lifecycle of Kubernetes cluster

    Abhishek we already fixed S3 buckets right for storage in creation of cluster then why we need to attach EBS volumes ???
    23:12

    • @MohammedIsmail-ig7zr
      @MohammedIsmail-ig7zr ปีที่แล้ว

      S3 bucket acts as storage for configuration files (etcd ) for the clusters information. etcd is seperate entitiy it does not come with kubernetes part of installation..

    • @samuelude6858
      @samuelude6858 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MohammedIsmail-ig7zr, I think there's a mixed up, S3 bucket is not a replacement for etcd, the S3 bucket created by KOPS is separate and serves as a storage location for KOPS-specific information whereas etcd remains to be a critical component of the Kubernetes control plane, responsible for storing the actual cluster state and configuration data

    • @yashwanthyerra2820
      @yashwanthyerra2820 วันที่ผ่านมา

      the thing is s3 is used to persist the state of cluster while ebs is used to persiste the state of pods in cluster.
      simple examples :
      s3: if a cluster becomes down or restarted that we have created for some reason . to retain those configurations and also to reconcile the change/updates that we want to do to the cluster instead doing it from scratch we use s3 bucket. they are not tied to availability zones since they are independent of clusters
      eb2: ebs is used for storage of pods that persists beyond its lifecycle which simply means if pod is crashed or restarted to persist data without loss like databases we use ebs . it is like external harddrive but tied to availability zones since they depend on cluster in which they are created

    The connection to the server localhost:8080 was refused - did you specify the right host or port?
    Sir, I'm getting this error when running kubectl apply -f .yml .... How to troubleshoot this sir? I've tried various methods from stackoverflow . Couldn't resolve it.

    note: we cannot use the free tier instance for running the k8s cluster using kops, it won't be validated. Better to use other instances with higher cpu power.
    I tried ec2 free tier😀what was the most interesting part was i deleted the instance without deleting the cluster details. and when i look back in ec2 instance node was still running. i deleted many times but didnot work. Again I follow same steps to create and delete the cluster. Finally I got peace😇

    Thank You Sir! I tried the commands till end. I think i missed one cmd, so "kops validate" was not working. I will try again.
    It created two ec2 instances - master & child. after i terminated those 2 instances it automatically created 2 instances again. I guess this is auto healing.

    Abhishek bhai can you tell me how we make a connection to our Jenkins CI/CD pipeline to KOPS, in my interview I said I make Kops as jenkins server slave but he said this is not a best practice
