Great vid as usual Charlie. Ref : Worsley Delph. The sculpture in the middle is a reconstruction of an unusual crane for loading boats. The outlines in the water show the size of the narrow ‘starvationer’ barges.
It's a lovely place for a visit. The canal walk is lovely. Whays the statue in the green. I sat on there and had a pic with my friend and furbaby, parked on the green and enjoyed the scenery. 🌼
Beautifully shot video, very relaxing, especially enhanced by all the colours and wonderful animals. What you said in the beginning resonates with me, and a lot of other viewers, i'm sure. I think we are now due a video of the Gaza Strip, given the rollercoaster this channel is. Always entertaining.
The multitude of the colours of Autumn fall, is a beautiful sight to behold. Especially when the sun strikes! I liked the words of reflection and wisdom, near the beginning of this video. I also liked seeing justice delivered to the inconsiderate driver of that 'Very nice' car. Ohh and 32:12 Face in the rock illusion : ) Another top notch video Charlie, respect, peace and love.
Okbrook and elvesston Castle, Derbyshire, is a very very nice place to visit. That's were my school was, in the middle of the country side. I was a very lucky person to go to a school in the country. Loved it peeps 💯👍👊.
The only thing I miss about the UK is autumn. I have lived in SE Asia for 30+ years! Nice to see some decent places in the autumnal light! Good post Charlie!
The river Dee featured prominently in my early childhood, I crossed the weir at Chester each day to go to school, beautiful parts of England the Dee flows through, cheers Charlie.
Hi Charlie, when you talked about parking cones it reminded me of a few months back, outside our local church a guy was putting out cones in the road but they were black with white crosses on and as I went passed I shouted I didn't know God has a parking space. The guy didn't respond kindly to that.
50MM lens with an aperture of 1.8 or lower is amazing and great for street photography Charlie! You have never seen depth of field like it! Speak to Ryan! :)

I agree! you can park your car on none restricted streets. The issue people have is parking over the pavements, parking at 3am then having a good laugh and joke with your mates waiting for your UBER, or just parking making it difficult to get out of your own drive. On return from having a great holiday knocked on doors asking did they know anything about their car missing or can they look at CCTV!! Being told that they parked in a postcode with one of the Highest insurance for cars in the country. That's because people leave their cars for long periods of time as an invitation please take me and chop up for parts. That's why people get pissed off!!!!!!

I went to St Marks school in Worsley in 1963 (the original one they demolished to build the motorway). We could access that tunnel from the school grounds. There were no railings above the tunnel then and one slip you were in...how things have changed Charles. Great video 👍
Charlie, what another great video. At about 7.15 and a couple of minutes ahead, You are talking about Your videos, as an educational view, and that You maybe are teaching Your viewers, friends and family the wrong things, by almost always getting into situations with brawl and sometimes violence. But from my humble point of view, I cannot see You doing anything wrong. You never start the trouble, at all, but mostly You finish the case. As old Maggie Thatcher said about The Argentinians " They started the war, but we will definately end it" Thats the way I see You, Charlie. The only thing You are doing is filming, which is legal. Not all people want You to do it, but as I see it, they are in the wrong. And I love You standing up for Yours and everybodys rights to do what You do. So please don`t stop, Charlie. Go on and have all the fun You can have. Yours Tommy from Denmark.
Watched untold hours of your videos and never get board, literally can’t get enough.I Don’t know another channel I watch religiously like yours. I must be mental 😜
Always amazes me how bosses and company owners treat work like a punishment, almost like they are running a Victorian workhouse. Then wonder why nobody wants to work for them.
I use to be up at 5:30 am to commute 1.5 hour to work and same again on return trip getting home at 10pm. Plus I did 12hr shifts in between sometimes regularly 24 hr shifts without sleep. Lasted 13 years doing it and literally body crashed. So bad retired at 43. I thank God now with hindsight,,rat race my arse.
Amazing how peaceful and relaxing it is out of the City. I don't think I'll step foot in a City again. Depressing places with freakazoids roaming them. Keep it up with the crackin' content. Fascinating stuff.
Only been watching off n on for a few months. I do enjoy (and mostly agree with) your commentary. I especially love your critiques on modern architecture and their relationship to modern living and culture. (traditional: lasting: valuable versus modern: temporary: valueless) To what you were saying about inadvertently teaching separation, fear, distrust, violence and anger; and the correlation between that kind of content and viewership makes it difficult to avoid doing all of the above. I know you probably prefer the visceral stream of consciousness that comes from delivering the commentary live as you are filming it, but it does make you a participant in the mayhem versus an observer. I might suggest taking the majority of your commentary out of the live moment and creating it into the more thoughtful clarity of your editing software as a voice over. And you know, it doesn’t have to be something you do for every video, but maybe try it. See if the power of your thoughts on the state of things are amplified or diminished or not. See if it changes the lesson. Not every interaction or observation needs to be assertive or confrontational to have impact. Anyway, just a thought. Cheers.
Must get a Gimble. Wife feels nauseated and can’t watch, then I have to find something else to watch otherwise I’m busy cleaning up puke 😂😂and so miss everything.
The 50mm lens is a prime lens (doesnt zoom) so its sharper, and it will go to a wider maximum aperture (f number) also for a shallow depth of field and blurred backgrounds
This video was fantastic Charlie with great vibes and some interesting architecture, I got nervous about the canal thinking about the Manchester pusher or something more paranormal.
Charlie the black and white elevations reminiscent of Port Sunlight model village, not too far from Liverpool, built by Lord Leverhulme, to house his workers in excellent conditions. Worth checking out.
Bang for buck S5 excellent. The 50mm is a prime lens. It just handles that focal length, think of it as a more specialised lens. The fstop will not doubt be lower for better low light handling/light gathering capabilities, and in conjunction, better bokeh, amongst other advantages. Am contemplating the same camera.
You missed Worsley courthouse it is over the road from the illegally parked vehicle. Also go in to walkden gateway and go up the stairs and you can film the view over Worsley.
Your 50mm lens is a prime lens and the other is a zoom. The prime lens will give sharper images than the zoom and will probably be a faster fstop, typically a decent 50mm prime would be f1. 8 which means it's better in lower light and for getting shallow depth of field and more blur in your shots which probably isn't of much use to you as you probably want everything in focus for your videos.

The tunnel at the Delph is still there and fairly intact! It goes into a network of 59 miles (I think) of tunnels dug by a single crew of 6. They were paid 6d a foot to dig it! Just to show how little times have changed the tunnellers hit Granite and could not dig enough to survive so went on strike (first ever recorded) and won! They were paid 9d a foot "when going through hardstuff) and as ever the Duke was not pleased so he added into the books .... "to be reduced to 3d a foot when going through soft stuff" The canal tunnels link up at Astley Colliery. Again back in the day the NCB decided in their wisdom to brick the tunnel entrance up and leave a small pipe for drainage. All was well until we had a heavy rain and the water level rose above the pipe. This forced the "marsh gas" Methane up into the rock above under pressure. An old dear in Walkden unplugged her electric fire and the spark ignited the gas! One quick trip to the NCB toilet later they quickly knocked the brick out to open the tunnels up again! Finally your "Door" is actually a gate to block the canal off so one side can be drained should the need arise. This last happened in the early 70's!
