Would love to hear/see your other op-1 looping experiments. I use mine with a Cocoquantus for looping, but it’s nice to keep things more portable and simple where possible.
thx for watching! It's funny you bring up the Coco because I've been trying to find new ways to use the OP-1 to help chill out my GAS for a Coco. I'm hoping to have a few more examples in the next video plus bouncing between the delay and tape.
@@81nortone I have a video on my channel that tries to walk through and explain how the coco works with an op-1, maybe some inspiration there! The coco is quite fun and meditative but I tend to use it away from my other music gear and a bit more like a little mixer for a few things, it's total chaos really! My dream wish list feature with the op-1 would be a way to get the sequencers to sync up with a delay loop time or loop section on the tape. Quite often I come up with a freeform loop, but then want to later in some stuff without playing it all in my hand! Anyhow, look forward to following your experiments! thanks for sharing.
Whoa. I'm pretty sure what I'm seeing here is a way to loop and layer sounds live on the OP-1 without using the tape tracks. If that's what I'm seeing then holy crap, amazing! Thanks!
@@81nortone Sure, but to keep it going forever it seems like all you have to do is record it to a looping tape track, and then just keep on delay-looping over top. It's brilliant, and solves one of my biggest gripes about the OP-1.Looking forward to what you come up with in part 2!
Heya. The delay will eventually fade out. It’s tempo dependent so a faster tempo will equal shorter loops and quicker fade out.Make sure every parameter on the delay is maxed out except for the speed. Speed at 0 gets you the longest loop.
What a wonderful video, thank you for putting it together and sharing!
thanks so much for watching. I'm glad to see people are being inspired.

This is super cool! I hope to see more content from you in the future!
Lovely!
Very very Dope indeed!! Thanks for sharing OP-1 Brother 🙏
This is very cool thanks!
Ace! Thanks (subbed)
ah what a super cool trick! thank you for this!
thanks for giving it a view, hope it instigated a long session with your op-1
Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
thx for watching!!!!
great work man

that's correct with the caveat that they will fade out over time. Glad you're hyped!!!! I was too.

hey man make a part 2! haha 😅
Very nice
thx so much for watching!
Love the keyboard! Where did you get it!
Also, this video was so useful! Thanks for sharing!
Hi sounds great. How do you set the endless looping - my sounds fade away even on those settings thanks!

Oh thanks one of my settings was not 0!1 great tip thanks a lot for replying
where's part 2??
