  • Sometime back I promised to cover how UX designers should document their progress along the way capturing information that would inform future efforts. Fact is, user researchers and designers need to work on their UX portfolios and UX case studies continuously and usually way earlier than needed. In this video, I'll cover why documenting it early is so critical, as well as showcase the key principles of how to do it. Alongside the thoughts, you'll also get to see my typical structure to document UX steps with a long term view - all to make a more effective UX case study in the end.

It all starts with getting organised. If you do this right it will be 10x easier to make a case study. it's all building up that habit for capturing bits

I gotta ask... Is making all these videos helping you as a UX designer and is this getting you work?

Not directly. I started this to upskill my growing design team back in the day. At management level any evangelism effort does add up though as it is an investment for talent attraction, general though leadership (even if I hate that term). Additionally its giving back to the community and investing in the next generation of designers and that is the key motivation for me
