    What is no pneumothorax or pleural effusion mean? That's what it says on my ct.

      pleural effusion is accumulation of fluids in the pleural cavity, and pneumothorax is accumulation of air in the pleural cavity.

    My xrays looked like the last one. Except it was my right lung. I had almost 80% of my lung collapsed due to the fluid taking up space. It hurt to breath ...i could barely walk and had to sleep in my car for 2 months because I couldn't lay back. I was getting these lower back spasms that hurt so bad it was crippling. I finally decided to go back to the ER....granted i was near death at this point. I was in the hospital for 15 days. They drained over a gallon of fluid from my pleura. It wasn't enough. I had abscess that had to be drained manually. They had to cut me open ...even break a rib to get were they needed to go. They hand scraped the puss and crust off my lung linings. They kept me under anesthesia for an an extra 10 hours because of the intensity of the pain i would be in. When I woke up I had two tubes coming out of my ribs on my right side closer to my back. I was on a fentanyl drip and that barley touched the pain. If i can convince anyone to take this serious its worth it. It's no joke and when you wait as long as I did it can kill you. Im having trouble walking because i was off my feet so long. So take pleurisy serious.

      I'm so sorry you had to go thru this. Prayers for you. I'm at home diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusions. I don't know what to do. Dr gave me water pill and I'm not sure that's the answer. Half of my lungs are white

    chest doctor said this a cause of infection tuberculosis

    • @hammadshams
      @hammadshams  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He may have seen other features of tuberculosis on chest x-ray. I have just made a video on TB as well watch it and also there are hundreds of videos on youtube about it. However, your question was, is pleural effusion always caused by TB? The answer is No. Pleural effusion can be caused by a number of conditions.

      It is very sad, may God bless his soul with peace and bless you and his family with courage to deal with the loss. What happened to him? What do you want to know? My suggestion is, he is gone. Digging into it will only create sadness and pain. Let it go.
