According to the Buddhist perspective, my understanding is -
i would like to kindly urge/suggest to the gentleman guest to consider stopping his fishing activities.
As he and his friends continue to fish, they are continuously accumulating group negative karma of killing which is much heavier. All those sea animals they have killed and are killing will inevitably become their Karmic Creditors. As soon as they gather more and more killing from the time they started fishing until present time, their own physical energies and positive karma will gradually weaken and the Karmic Creditors are just waiting around for the conditions to ripen to take their revenge....
Please kindly do take care and consider seriously to stop the killing activities before it is too late.
Of all negative actions, Killing is the worst negative action One can engage in. Some of the results of the Killing karma is short life span and many sicknesses, etc....and if the Karmic Creditors are not yet able to take revenge on you, they may then target at your family members..... Please do take note that the Naga Kingdom 海龙王 governs the sky, land and earth animals. And they are very powerful Beings who can cause a lot of serious sickness, for e.g, horrible skin diseases, severe arthritis, leukemia, cancer, etc... They can also cause the weather to change.... Due to us, human beings, who are greedy, pollute and abuse the environment with no respect for the land and the animals kingdom can create the conditions for them to fall sick and hence, they can get very angry with us human beings and inflict us with environmental, physical and emotional sickness and problems....The chopping of the trees/forest areas can also create risk for us to be inflicted with sickness that can cause our death.
Are you aware that there are lots of unseen Beings including insects and animals living in the trees, plants, flowers and in the forest area. We are committing so much of killing and affecting thousands and thousands of homes.... even affecting the unseen Beings and many of them living in the trees, in the caves, beneath the earth, rocks, boulders, rivers, streams, lakes, sea, spaces, etc...and because of all of our disrespectful and careless attitudes, we cause them lots of harms, and in return, we automatically, created the negative relationships with them and bring all these environmental, physical and emotional difficulties and sickness upon ourselves.
And to share with you a method to help purify the Killing and any other negative actions One has committed since beginningless times, it is helpful to sincerely regret, repent and resolving not to repeat the Killing actions again. If you have faith in Guan Yin Pusa , you can do your repentance and vow to stop your fishing activities in front of Guan Yin Pusa (Sanskrit name: Avalokiteshvara, Tibetan name : Chenrezig), and if possible, please try to take vegetarian food as often as you can and gradually switching to fulltime vegetarian diet, if possible and engage in as many kind deeds as possible and dedicate the merits accumulated to all the sea and/or land animals/ karmic creditors you have hurt/ killed or caused others to hurt/ kill. This is a very effective way to purify One's negative karma and to make peace with One's Karmic Creditors.
