- Dear students - This video demonstration and explanation will gives you knowledge, How to determine the hardness present in the given water sample using EDTA solution? The aim, principle, working procedure, apparatus required
Thank u sir. Your explanation is so good and easy to understand
very nice explanation
Tq so much sir you are very well explained sir
Thanks mastaruuu🙏🙏🙏
Sir, please make a video on how to make standard hard water by CaCO3 .
I am in problem. Here is no video on this topic on you tube.
Thank you sir
❤
Can you give the normality of each solution sir ..
Dear Aswini, Usually we use 0.1 N or 0.01 N solutions for the analysis.
Do we add water 50 ml on burette in titration 2 and 3 or we should keep the remaining edta solution after titration 1
We should fill the burette with 50 ml of EDTA before starting each titration. There is no need of water.
How to take volume readings of EDTA sir..
Is it volume consumed or
Is it showing reading in burrete
We need to measure the volume consumed of EDTA. For example, 19.5 ml consumed for the titration means, you have to take the same for calculation.
Everything is well but the part of strength of hard water sample in titration 1 calculation. Where is the 0.01 from sir?
Thanks for your doubt....
Calcium carbonate solution is taken as standard solution here. Usually one known concentration solution will be provided to measure the concentration of unknown solution.
For each volumetric analysis you will be provided with a standard solution. For this experiment, I had prepared the 0.01 N solution of hard water. So that, I mentioned the same in this video.
@@dpchemistry8122 Satisfied 😌 Thank you sir
When I added the EBT in water sample, the colour change into blue.
What happen ?
Dear Wai myo, Please check the acidity and basicity of water. Due to that also the EBT may show blue color.
How do you know strength of std hard water?
It's prepared known solution from laboratory, which will be taken as reference to measure the concentration of unknown solution.
Tamil la Explain Panni irutha nalla irukum sir.enaku purila😢
Will try in future.
@@dpchemistry8122 ok tomorrow University lab atha keta sir.
Thank you sir
