Quite impressive how you managed to go from nothing to adding multiplayer in just 7 days.
A few years ago this task would have been completely impossible, it's a testament to how good the tools are nowadays, as well as your own skill of course!

I think racing was a really good choice to get something set up quickly. I used client Auth for most of it and RN there are no collisions with non-static objects. So I really just needed to network the player positions and if they were boosting or not.

Why do you think in 7 days is impressive? Not to brag or something but if I am beeing honest, after watching your tutorial 2 times, I immediately knew everything about it. But I need to agree that the game that is beeing made/created by this TH-camr is really great!
@@BossAleks123 multyplayer is hard to inplument so in 7 days i never even knew that was posible without using something like godots thing that makes networking easyer or something i havent checkted but its hard

Super cool, love the racing mechanics. The team combined score is such a big brain move, would never have thought of it even though Mario Kart is depressing when you become below 3rd. Awesome work!

impressive, you should consider making all of the suggested features for multiplayer. I think it would add a lot of replayability to it as well. You could even add a roulette-style mode to randomly pick between the game types to keep it fresh.

Funny how you added multiplayer to your game about the same time that I dropped it from mine! Hope it treats you better than it did me. I realized months after adding it to my game that the real pain of multiplayer isn't the initial setup but the slow burn of complexity added to your game that increases for every new feature you add that needs to be synced across the network.

This looks so awesome. Multiplayer isn't easy but you did amazing progress!
4:02 most of the time when I try to use ChatGPT to help find specific issues with my code it doesn’t work. It usually says there might be an error at a place and doing their suggested change only makes it worse and it turns out the problem was actually somewhere else the whole time.
My best method is to think of things that are related to a function centered around the problem and use CTRL+F to look over those possible variables.
Flying sounds like the perfect way to make racing feel fast!

You should add a stunt mechanic. Example: if the player would fly trough a small opening or fly between pillars and trees they would recieve stunt/trick points that could be used to gain a special broom/player skin or a neat skill.
It could be implemented, so that if a player would fly closely past something, that based on the amount of room thats between the player and the obstacel would earn a certain amount of points. (Just an idea to make the broom races a bit more entertaining) 😊😅

You should add a system kinda like minecraft replay mod where you can record the states of all objects at every frame while recording. You can then replay the data so you can just play without worrying about getting footage. Then, afterward, you can get cool footage for videos or promotional stuff.
I tried this a couple of years ago with the older unity system. I am still recoverying mentaly from it. Great video by the way!

I've been kind of accessing what I want to do. I don't want to make an MMO or host servers. I think it would be more game-mode based. Play the single-player to find new items, level up your character, progress the story, then do coop stuff with ur friends when they're around.
@@AIAdev yeah I think that's a good way of doing it I think, having players host their own servers to show off their new items/customisations, etc and then flying around together sounds lovely

you should make some things like rocks fall down from left or right which would slow you down or stun you for a bit if you get hit by it to make it more engaging!

Having just made a super small turn-based card game that was multiplayer, this is impressive. I used Unity's cloud hosting, so I wonder how different it is from using steam. Looking at it, it seems like steam is mostly relay and p2p connection, but whatever it is, cool video and fun stuff.
Now when are we getting arena mode?

me too. I like the idea. The thing with PvP is that is that it has to be a lot more responsive than broom racing. The first step (I think) is to get spells into broom racing.

you should be able to blast people with magic some times and there should be power ups where you can gain sheilds so if someone tries to shoot you it doesnt affect you.
you could do something like what sa2 does with races and just use the same map, however with a different race course
