If Oakley can't get up onto the couch, you might try putting a small stool that is about half as high as the couch so that she could get up there more easily.

Oakley needs to be FLUFFFYYY AGAINN!!!!
My dog had acupuncture before she passed away. She doesn't sit still either, but it worked. We were told that as long as the pup doesn't shake the needles out, it would be OK. Maizie walked around in the vet's room with the needles around her butt and legs, and she didn't mind. Not sure if this is helpful, but just thought that acupuncture probably could help Oakley? It helped Maizie.
You got your dog poked with needles? You do understand that accupuncture has zero effect, right? It's a load of horseshit
I was feeling pretty crappy and not looking forward to the day until this video of the dogs playing on the new couch came on. Day saved!

Once my Balto turned 10 he was diagnosed with Lupus. Nose bled. It was awlful. But he got better. Then weight loss started. I hope fluffy butt gets well soon.

Hey guys! I hope I can help you with Oakley's hips. We had a rough collie boy with the same issue. We got him Ruffwear boots to wear which gave him grip on our wooden floors. This helped him to stand up and keep standing without slipping. Hope this helps. Lots of love from South Africa!
