My favorite line, was the first one, "we are Filipino, no matter our skin color, we are of one heart". At least that's my translation. Being a Filipina American raised in a predominantly African American community and having biracial children, I still wanted my children to acknowledge their Filipino heritage. My children all have their own unique features, one even favors EZ Mil, the other is kayumangi. Taught my children that they would not be fully accepted by either side (not black enough, not Filipino enough), that they needed to be comfortable with themselves and be proud regardless of what label is given to them. I feel his struggle for I felt it for my own children. He has easily become one of my favorites, and I've looked into his music (straight 🔥), he is most definitely talented, and is also a damn good singer. For those hating him, just amplifies the racism that plagues our own country. That's why I love that line. I can only wish him the best and hopes for his successful future.

Nakakatuwa po talaga makita na tinatayuan niya yung bansang pinagmulan niya. Marami na kasi mga pinoy na mas proud pa sa ibang bansa kesa sa sariling atin. But then Ez Mil here he is reminding us to be proud of our own country, of our nationality regardless of whatever skin tone we have. At sana matapos na yung kakadescriminate sa kapwa. He such an intelligent artist that he used exaggerations and double meaning lyrics and suggestive sounds to send his message across. From a deep sleep during this pandemic, his rap woke our spirit and gave us hope, that our country can be great again for as long as we are united.

It's ironic you said that @Richelle. Naiyak ako tlga noong narinig ko ung linyang "I ain't TISOY...I'm PINOY!!! I'm a half Kapampangan and half American (white) like EZ Mil but born in the U.S. Nag-aral ako sa Pinas for 5 years noong colegio ko (18 y/o). I really felt that discrimination when I went to school then. At that time, I was learning how to speak Tagalog and Kapampangan at the same time and I really struggled because my accent at that time was really bad. I was laughed at and they would say, "Mag Ingles kna lang ang panget nmn pakinggan yang bulok mong tagalog e." That really pierced my soul because all I wanted to do was study our culture and become a Filipino in every sense of the word. If I didn't meet my wife back then, I probably would've turned my back on our culture. She taught me how to speak Tagalog and to move on doon sa mga epal nyan at tanggapin ko ang pagiging Pinoy ko. Now when I speak Tagalog, some words I use are so deep na na OP ung iba at sabihin nila na "naku parang mas Pinoy ata ito kesa sakin! Ang lalim mo mag tagalog bro!" I'm so proud when I hear that and I thank the Lord for the man I've become today. Thank you for the reaction! Let us unite as one people whether you are half or full blooded Filipino of any skin color, background, language, religion, or creedo!!! Mabuhay tayo ng mga Pilipino!!! #PinoyPride
