I absolutely love this rig, I agree with you on everything that was talked about. Sounds like you have found a great setup that works for you. Can’t wait to see more videos!
Nice skid and accessories. I prefer a truck body not made of aluminum, but it works for lots of guys. Keep up the videos, and best of luck to you going forward!
Dude I've been subscribed for a couple years watching vids every now and then. I do pipeline/ oil &gas work mostly some mobile stuff so this setup isn't for exactly for me but man is this a slick unit.
Why not try to see if you could find someone to 3D print a plastic cover for the aluminum spool gun?? I’m thinking it might be a better option just reduce the risk, if any, of an arch out. 🤷🏻♂️ idk just thinking in text. 😊 I’ve never used that style so I don’t know if it’s possible to bird cage in that spot.
Very nice rig....only thing I would've done differently is I would have back up alarm facing down at the ground....no dirt get in and sound bounces off ground making it heard better
So question how is it not squatting and are your leaf springs look flat instead of arched up. I have a 2016 f150 and it sits low cause all the weight I still have to brace the chassis and put heavy duty leaf pack on there
Nice truck it has everything I'd want on my F250 except the welder I already got my Lincoln 10000 plus my air compressor is plug in but its real handy a little C&H 13 gallon I got a speedaire 20 gallon as soon as I can get a pump it will take up residence on my truck
The new diesels these days , are really ment for specific purposes. The days of getting a diesel for reliability, fuel economy and long term ownership savings are long gone. And probably my opinion is derb did it for foot print reasons and he knows exactly what he needs to get the job done efficiently. Hes been in the game long enough to know. I mean he did have a f450 diesel for a while. Not sure if hes got it still.
Im on the fence with that to be honest. As long as you keep it inside the ratings its fine. Those f150s are everywhere on jobsites. And really they are almost in the 3/4 ton class. Its crazy to think back in the older days (80s and 90s) the weight you could move with an old school 3/4 and 1 ton is pretty much what the half tons do these days.. i will say this id by a half ton ford over the other 2 any day. Just because of the ratings and simplicity
It’s not a simple truck to work on lol. The shop I work at has a 2017 5.0 and it’s been in the shop for 3 weeks just because it’s a pain in the ass to work on. I don’t want to sound like I’m dissing the truck because I have the same truck just a year older. Trust me the 5.0 even with all its quirks is more reliable than the stupid eco boost engines. That and if you know what you are doing there simple to work on to a degree. The shop I work at mainly works on diesel engines and construction equipment. (Construction Yard and repair shop the company does all repair and fabrication in house)
Nah I had 100 gallon transfer tank and toolboxes in my 2009 f150 that weighed 1500lbs, I added heavy duty leaf springs and the truck worked for many years until I could save up to buy my 2019 f350

I wouldn’t mind seeing a video of that arcreach in action.
Congrats on the new rig truck looks great my man!
Excellent video. Congratulations my friend! You’ve come a long way and getting bigger!
It’s awesome that you do search and rescue the funny thing is I also carry my S&R gear in my work truck.

Great video derb! Like the rig for sure glad its got the tried and true 5.0l. Looks like you got exactly what you needed.

Only thing you missing is your wheel chalks them Rock quarry and sandmine is wild😂
Rig looks good and the skid it great. What kind of work you doing in the in the mines ?
Derbador, this is a really cool rig.

Congrats!
Thank you :)
Love the work truck look

Brother Derb happy to you again so soon keep it up please
In the video the bed looks darker than the cab. Nice rig regardless!
Not a bad rig. I wonder why you didnt go with a 2500 or bigger even if you wanted to stay in a gasser vs diesel.

@@George88889 I think a 2500 gasser would have similar footprint but handle the weight better.

How much weight is on the back?
That powermax45 is a workhorse
What about a welding trailer?

Literally? 79 and 74! I’ve got a 79 f350 and 74 f250.
How does the 150 do breaking with all the weight
Its stops great. Almost can’t tell the difference with it loaded vs unloaded.
You're asking a lot of that truck brother.
Not even close. The truck has a over 3000lb GVW and I’m using only a third of that

What is the process to become msha certified?
About $1500 and a 24 hour class
@@derbadortheweldor8940 did you just have to talk to your local msha office?
I went through the mine I was working at but I’m sure they can help to
@@derbadortheweldor8940 10-4 and thank you.
😎👍
Nice setup on your skid I will give you that but piss on ford I’m sorry but I’m a die hard CHEVY MAN
Nice truck… just not meant for a welding rig. You have your tools just thrown everywhere looks sloppy.
No it’s definitely meant for a welding rig. It’s far from sloppy
