"we are not a copy" "fuck the system" "never kill curiosity" holy shit this company seems based. Really exciting stuff. The flower one is my favorite. Viva Mexico!
Tbh ALL of these designs are exotic as fuck and i love them all There is a sort of retro-ish aesthetic combined with a very modern and future facing design and they're all badass
I like this Luis and his Cream guitars. It's a breath of fresh air to see a guitar building doing ACTUAL unique stuff. Kind of reminds me of how I felt when I saw Dean Gordon's guitars when he started building his over a decade ago! Love it!
For the first time in almost ever, I'm feeling inspired by a new guitar design. Luis is really onto something here, not only his eye for a good aesthetic, but his ethos seems to come from being one of us rather than trying to be bigger than his audience. Very impressive, very relatable.
Mexican people are so creative and hard working, it’s exciting to see them entering the guitar market with a splash. I’ve seen that color change guitar on so many videos I feel like it won NAMM.
I remember seeing video of Cream from last year’s NAMM and mentioned by a few other TH-camrs. The CEO is SO passionate about his designs and keeping prices fair. It tells you how much big brands are over-inflating their prices when he’s able to do some really cool stuff for WAY less, comparatively speaking - including hiring the brains needed to make that electromagnetic color changing guitar a reality for a guitar (I’ve seen it being used concept cars, as he mentioned). For all that and the end result of the guitars look, you’d think the price would end up being at least more than double or maybe even triple before he tells you the actual going price. Don’t get me wrong. I love the old school flavor and history. Most of us love those guitars. I just don’t like the BS we are getting served about old school processes, things in the US costing more to produce, raw materials costing more, etc. That all might be “somewhat” true, but not to the tune of what we are seeing happen. I bet the factory workers can make the same living and the company will still be doing really well - you’re basically lining the pockets of rich CEO’s who like to own palaces, go on extravagant vacations and show off how many A-list stages they’re playing on when they’re not even good enough to be there. We should all be pretty angry about that. Here we have a brand that is showing us what is possible right here and now, at a fraction of what you would have guessed it would cost - and with premium pickups and parts, mind you. He’s interested in giving us new body shapes and designs we’ve never seen. I’ve said this can be done for a long time if you hire the right artists and use very creative minds, but people laughed at me. I come from several generations or artists and carpenters (my last name even translates to the latter). I’m not a carpenter, but I watched my grandfather do it. On the other side of my family, my great grandfather was a painter and owned a furniture factory. My mom was a textile designer. I used to teach art classes at a local senior center. I know people want you to believe that we’ve done everything there is to do, but Cream is proof that we haven’t nearly scratched the surface. I have so many other body shapes in my mind and ideas that can be made into guitar tops - mass producible ones. I’m glad someone else out there like this CEO realizes this too. I’m hoping Cream will eventually manage to make some really cool designs that cost less to produce for around half the cost. It’s refreshing to see someone totally disrupting the guitar industry.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. I was honest to god expecting 3-4 grand but was really surprised. I do wonder how custom is gonna be priced but I think it would be worth it
Although i dont think ill be spending more than 700 dollars on a guitar right now, i think 1.6k is a very fair price for such a crazy work of art Reminder that normal ass gibsons are like fucking 3 to 5 thousand dollars lololol
Just when I thought I had enough guitars.....these guys show up. I'm 53 and an old 80's metal / prog / shred fan, but I can't lie, I love everything they make. Viva la Mexico!!
These are some of the freshest new guitars I've seen anywhere in a long time. We need to hear them played. Not cheap but not terribly expensive, appears to be a lot of quality and features for the money. Very interesting report K.
There is a little snake oil with the increased vibration talk but I love the body shapes and the versatility of the way he wires them. Also the flowers in resin? Lovely
That colour changing thing is wild! I'm curious to see how it works with multiple colours. But these guitars certainly make a statement. I dig it! Very cool man, good catch. Worth watching. 👌😎👀
LOVE the guitars! Love this man’s vibe. Love the price. I will absolutely be picking up one of the sparkling ones. I would love to support this new companies efforts. Great coverage too KDH
I wanna hug this man! I love his enthusiasm and love for the guitar!!! I personally think this guy is going to turn the Industry on its head for his pricing and ingenuity! I fuckin love these instruments!!!
The Revolver looks cool, the other one is just a reverse Explorer and looks like a nightmare to play sitting down. Price is reasonable and if they play well then it might be a good option for someone looking to get very very flashy guitar. Not my style but some people will find great joy in playing something like that. I have a simple Dunable DE series guitar on the way, it's the same price range as these Cream guitars, hope you checked them out as well.
I was extremely interested just by the looks alone, then he kept talking, and then he said the price and now I must own one. I've been looking for an innovative brand for a while and this is literally exactly what I've been looking for.
Dude, these guitars actually blew me away super unique very beautiful. This guy is a crazy talented human being I love these types of boutique rare type guitars they’re always awesome. Thanks for the video.
These are a real breath of fresh air in the industry and loved Luis's storytelling...will be keeping an eye on them for sure! You definitely need to feature them on the channel!
That Cream dude seems so legit. HE strikes me as a musician first whom got into this business. You can tell he knows what he is talking about and he knows it's cool
Every video i've seen come out of Namm so far have had the youtuber stop at this booth with a "wow, thats awesome" - and with good reason; those guitars look awesome and fresh.
I wasn’t excited for these guitars from the thumbnail… I’m so glad I watched the whole video! I’m still not excited about the shapes but the specs and color changing tech blew my tiny little mind!
I like the look of the reverse explorer body, the other one needs more work I think, but good on this guy for not following the same but cheaper road that many others have. The colour changing one is amazing.
I like the idea of the single coil underneath the pick guard. I'm a 2 humbuckers, 3-way toggle kind of guy but the push pull options on the knobs with the hidden single coil gives all the versatility of a 3 pickup, 5-way selector type of guitar. Very cool find there!
Awesome guitars! Best of luck with the lineup! The changing paint is really a great idea because a lot of guitars I would buy if they had the right color are not available.
I'm not usually a fan of colored guitars and 'extreme' shapes, but these are stunning. His custom ones are real art, but they all have something. Not sure I'd go for sparkles, but I'd definitely want to play one or two of these. And that green "Prisma" one could possibly look quite nice in my house 😀 The real flowers are a great idea too, I wonder how they keep them from fading over time? UV protective resin? They look stunning. Really would be interesting to hear these, especially compared to a 'normal' guitar, hear what difference the brass and aluminum parts make, such in interesting idea. Most "new" guitars are more or less the same old thing, but there's some very creative innovation here, thanks for the video!
They look absolutely amazing, and I also like the shapes. I'd prefer no pick-guards and 24 frets (or more!), but these are tempting even as they are now.
These look really awesome. The CEO should be proud of doing what looks like an amazing job at a good price. I would love to read some reviews of bought models though
I also love his philosophy of saying that his guitars are not meant to be your only guitar but is a piece of your arsenal. Showing he cares about guitarists and not just business
@@bassic6959 Bit of a far cry from Henry J of Gibson having executives shoot at Fenders, or at least, so the story goes. I didn't look much into it, so I don't want to say "yes, that absolutely happened."
I love these guitars. And they’re reasonably priced. If I was in the market for a new guitar at the moment these would be right up near the top of my list.
Wow thanks for sharing. Hope you'll be able to review one sometime. The single coil underneath the pickguard is a great idea if it still sounds good. I tried an Ibanez Genesis with HSH and couldn't get used to the single coil being in the way of my pick.
These are super cool. Always great to see people out there trying something new. That colour changing guitar is mind blowing, and I got really tempted to order one when I saw the 3D day of the dead finish
The hidden bass pickup underneath the pickguard, with a pot to control it's volume mixed in with the other pickups, is such a killer idea! Also killer design and finishes if you go to their website.
Those really are striking, and the shapes are cool. Some elements, like the aluminum and lucite on the headstock, seem purely decorative and stylish. But I wonder if that brass plate on the back does anything for the sound - like maybe more sustain? (Maybe he said that but I missed it. Is this something other guitars have implemented in some way?)
I like these. My only want is one without a pickguard. I have a custom holoflake guitar and its rear routed so I don't have a pickguard covering half the finish.
10:06 Thank you, Luis! I am sick of everybody saying they're "the BEST" when there's not such thing on production guitars. Once your quality is tight there's not really anywhere to go except into the artistic side of things.
Either Luis is pretty strong or the guitars are kind of light. Or maybe a little column A and a little column B. KDH, can you venture a guess as to the weight?
When they first caught my eye, I assumed they were basically just show pieces and nothing more, but I gotta say, his whole spiel really sold me on the brand, especially given the price point. Hopefully we'll hear more from them in the future. This is what NAMM's about!
I love the idea's from Cream Guitar's I don't like the body too much it's not bad just not a fan (the designs i like are the voltage they look like a reverse explorer and the design i don't like are the revolvers ) but I love everything else hope they get a lot more attention in the very near future.
I love the use of e-ink for the color change. If they can figure out how to do it more as a screen, like the Kindle, then you could have all kinds of designs not just color shift

Much agreed my friend 🎸🤘
Totally! And the flower & Day of the Dead gtrs were my favorites as well! So cool!
I mean, it's basically a reversed explorer though lol
@@cgoebbert All guitars are $1600 USD except the custom ones are $5000 USD and upwards because they are above all a piece of Mexican art.
Viva Mexico? How American are you?
I must say, Luis is a great ambassador for the brand. He sounds very enthusiastic
Lmao he said he made all of them. Of course, his heart is on those walls
I'm from Mexico and I'm proud of these people from Cream Guitars. Their guitars are magnificent!
Topo bad they are ugly
my footage from this booth is borderline unusable, glad you made the video instead lmao
that REAL floral guitar is beyond wonderful, these guys are onto something astonishing
and it goes without saying, i wanna lick the sparkly ones

i give Cream guitar maker alot of credit in making something totally new and not to mention very sexy looking guitars

I'll be honest. I was expecting a price tag of double what they are.
$1600 USD is a great price for a guitar of that quality and uniqueness.
