- Friends, the city of Quanzhou is unique to me. Its economy is very developed, with its GDP ranking among the top 20 in the country, but the entire city gives people an antique feel.
People here feel very calm and peaceful inside, as if they have seen through the cause and effect of everything in the world.
The tourist atmosphere here is very good. You can enjoy the scenic spots and historical sites here, and you can also eat a variety of delicious special foods. This is truly a slow travel paradise.

Quanzhou is one of the most famous historical and cultural cities in China.
It is an important seaport located in southeast Fujian Province and is the economic and political center of the province.
To its east is Taiwan separated from Quanzhou by the East Sea, making the city the famous mother town of Chinese compatriots in Taiwan and overseas. The climate is warm and humid, comfortable for year-round travel, making it a popular tourist destination.
Due to its special location, Quanzhou has been China's marine door to exotic cultures since ancient times. During the Song (960-1279) and Yuan (1271-1368) dynasties, Quanzhou port became one of the largest world ports.
As the starting point of the Sea Silk Road, it accepted diverse religions including Christianity, Islam and Manichaeism. Today it is called 'World Religions Museum'.
Here exotic cultures have been mixed with traditional ones for thousands of years, leaving many historic sites, such as Qingjing Mosque, the Islamic Saint Mausoleums, Kaiyuan Temple, Heavenly Empress (Tianhou) Palace and other architectural classics such as Luoyang Bridge, Anping Bridge and Chongwu Ancient Town. Zheng Chenggong (1624-1662), the national hero who helped the government regain Taiwan from Holland in the 17th century, was also born here. His mausoleum in Nan'an city has become a precious historical site in this city.
In addition to places of historical interest, this city also abounds in natural beauties including various mountains, river valleys and basins. The famous mountains include Mt. Qingyuan, Mt. Zimao, Mt. Xiangong, Mt. Lingxiu and Mt. Penglai, where the Water Rock Temple is situated. Recreational parks near the mountains and along the sea add modern atmosphere to the city's glamour.

Quanzhou, located in the southeast of Fujian province, is one of the three major central cities of Fujian. The city is south of Fuzhou, the provincial capital, north of Xiamen, east of Zhangzhou, Longyan and Sanming, and with Taiwan to the east.
The city covers 11,015 square kilometers and by the end of 2022 had a permanent population of 8.7 million. According to the sixth national census in 2010, there are 53 ethnic minorities in the city, with the largest being the Hui, Tujia, Miao and She. Quanzhou dialect is based on Minnan (southern Fujian) dialect and the common language is mandarin.

Quanzhou stands in front of mountains and faces the sea. Hills, valleys and basins are scattered throughout the city. Its terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. There are more than 667,000 hectares of mountainous land in Quanzhou, taking up 80 percent of its land.

Kaiyuan Temple

Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou is the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian province. It was originally built in 686 AD during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). After rounds of repairs and restorations, now most of the buildings on the site date back to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
The landmark attractions at the temple include two stone towers - Zhenguo Tower and Renshou Tower - that stand respectively on the eastern and western sides of Daxiong Palace.
Kaiyuan Temple is one of those places which best exemplify the essence of Buddhist culture. Due to its unique architectural style and historical value, it is one of the must-visit attractions in Quanzhou and Fujian province.

我是温州人，父母在泉州做生意快三十年了，所以它也是我半个家。这座城市给我的印象是绿化好、红砖房、信佛、闽南语，综合起来就是古朴又很有生气。每到夏天放暑假，我就会像候鸟一样飞到爸妈身边。早上吃面线糊，中午偶尔去店里吃牛杂，傍晚去清源山爬山吃个烫空心菜牛肉丸，晚上时不时跟着一堆大人去吃海鲜或者开在民宅里的私房菜。强推泉州特别好吃的的卤面，还有泉州牛肉羹自带肉汤跟温州清汤加辣加醋的风格很不一样。出国在外作为浙闽人最痛苦的是吃不到正宗的家乡菜，明明温州人也不少，但大家更愿意做四川菜和粤菜，这些也好吃但不是我最想吃的😢

十多年前在泉州住过一小段时间，可惜当时年纪不大，对泉州一无所知，不过老城区的建筑和氛围已经让我感受到这里是一个很有历史底蕴的地方了。闽南地区特有的红砖建筑以及华丽的屋檐给我留下了很深刻的印象，这次视频雨后的湿润感配上这种天气下略暗的自然光，让这些建筑看起来别有一番韵味。感谢Max带我重游这个城市，让我看到了当时未曾看到的风光。从很多细节能看出来历史建筑老城区的维护和规划很不错😊。

I live in Quanzhou, you know. Most of the historical buildings in this city have been destroyed by theCCP - ancient city gates, walls, old streets, and historical structures. At present, hardly one out of ten remains. However, after destroying everything, they shamelessly take pride in the meager remnants of the city's historical charm.

You can come to travel and work in China, but I don't think you can get a Chinese permanent residence. 😂 Chinese PR is the hardest to get in the world, unless you are married to a Chinese citizen and live in China for 5 years. Very Very Very few Chinese would choose Indian as a marriage partner😅

想知道你对泉州这个城市什么评价？吃了当地的美食了吗，面线糊和肉粽一定尝下！
感觉这里非常宜居，非常适合旅游，吃的方面，啥都有，姜母鸭虽然不是我的菜，但其他东西都不错，面线糊很可口，我甚至还在万达广场吃了湘菜，竟然比较正宗。
但最最最最令人难忘的美食是，一家叫做痛风锅的小店，那海鲜粥超美味，我久久不能忘怀…
另外，古香古色的建筑我简直太喜欢了，而且老城区的巷子钻起来太有感觉了。
最后拍摄舞狮那一段，泉州中山路一个保安看到我拍摄，竟然走过来把我拉入内场，我也是受宠若惊，感受到了他的善意。
反正泉州之旅感觉一级棒😊

唐人街风。南洋风。这些与中国传统无关。只是海外暴发户有钱之后 当时各种殖民者 割据 导致国内工匠死的死。逃的逃。建不出高质量的建筑。只能靠当时的一些“农民工”去做一个“想象”中的中国建筑了。。。
看看古画中的建筑。再看看现实中广州碉堡楼。福建广东的南洋风祠堂（带镂空龙柱 屋顶复杂异常）台湾的各种复杂寺庙。。。这些都是细节一坨屎（连龙纹都做不好）。只能靠堆砌搞复杂才能远观的渣子。
中国传统建筑 是近看细腻大气美观。。远观秀逸缥缈的。。日本人很好的继承了中国传统建筑的审美。。
