For the loop, Eggman just needs to lie down on the hill further back, and let his roundness aid him. And see a doctor about his back afterwards.
So Robotnik isn't athletic. Wouldn't a Robotnik game focus on him using his technology to overcome obstacles?

@Keeonly "Dude its a game" I know, I was pointing out an in-game fact and analyising the in-game logic. I never mentioned anything about real-life.
And no, the capsule isn't "in the way". There are multiple times where Robotnik is running away with Sonic chasing after him and he only stops when he sees the capsule _during_ the chase. This means that Robotnik is still fast enough to outrun Sonic, as the act of opening the capsule would take about a couple of seconds. If Sonic really is much faster than Robotnik, those few seconds wouldn't matter _unless_ Robotnik is fast enough to escape from Sonic's sight in those few seconds.
@Keeonly And you keep complaining about me just pointing out an interesting observation from the games. Calm the hell down and try seeing the humor in Sonic, the "fastest thing alive" not being able to catch with a fat guy.
I would imagine an eggman game being banjo kazooie nuts and bolts like where you make custom eggman death machine vehicles out of parts you unlock in the game.

BenTLA The Theory is Sonic never goes to kill him just defeat him and so gives him a fair run. A lot of the evidence is there when you consider situations like Spring Yard and Emerald Hill where Robotnik/Eggman is a sitting duck for nearly 5 seconds and Sonic just stands there.

I think I might know why he was faster than sonic in the 2 Classic games. 1. He could of built himself some robotic legs on The Wing Fortress Zone which Run at the speed of light (Because sonic is As fast as the speed of sound) And maybe inbetween Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Adventure, His Robotic legs broke down due to a malfunction or 2. Sonic could of Ran our of stamina. I mean, This one animal has been chasing this man through 11 Zones just by Non-stop Running. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was tired after going through the hell of the other Zones before he got to The Death Egg.

heres something alot of people don't know in the american backstory for sonic he was actually an expirament by eggman who gave him his shoes... some stories say his shoes give him speed but actually eggman was seeing sonics top speed ... which is still unknown, and made him a pair of shoes that could withstand all the speed and running.
