The concept is great marketing but outside of that, just watch some face massage videos lol. The only real reason for a facial massage is to help drain your lymphatic system. So save your money and learn how to do it at home 😂

Sooo, now a facial massage and lymphatic drainage is called face gym/facial work out? Though it looks a bit rough possibly it's very nice, but Chinese people have been doing basically this with a Gua sha for ages! And it's something that doesn't last, it's very temporary.

I appreciate you harping on licensure so much. You should really discuss unlicensed veterinary technicians aka nurses. As a licensed LVT, it pains me to know that my own pets when I was younger received inadequate and improper care because vets were being cheap and being scammers. It’s dangerous. They grab anyone off the street, call them a nurse, and let them do so many things to your animal. The unfortunate part is the laws haven’t caught up completely, but they definitely are now because people care more about their animals. And it’s going to take pet owners saying I don’t want someone that doesn’t even know what drugs interactions are, how to deal with anesthetic emergencies, etc. caring for my baby while they are under for surgery. Now that I know, I tell all of my family members to check that wherever they’re going has licensed nurses. You wouldn’t want an unlicensed nurse looking after you. I highly do not recommend it for your fur babies. And we’ve got to hold the people calling themselves technicians in states that require licenses accountable. Don’t lie to the clients and create a false sense of safety. You are an assistant. Go to school, get the knowledge, and stop the malpractice. I really hope someone does a video on this so people can be more informed because I genuinely just don’t think people know they are letting a rando push propofol in their baby…

Absolutely, all this stuff is considered safe until its not. They're is just not enough research on it and absolutely no information about the long term effects of it. But this happens with almost everything, over time they find out how damaging and dangerous things actually are. Heroin was once a cough suppressant, we used to bleed people and even more recently, the UV lights for doing nails are cancer causing (obviously). Its only a matter of time and I think this procedure will be found to gave some serious repercussions in the long term.

Seems like face gym damages nerves. Your face shouldnt twitch.

I get the hype? I get the appeal? But as someone who suffers neurological disorders of nerves directly in my face (Trigeminal Neuralgia for those that are wondering) seeing all of this just made me cringe. I get some folks are afraid to age gracefully and those fine lines and wrinkles terrify others. But damn, guys, there are plenty of ways to just.. gently massage your face instead of paying people to lightly beat you up. lmao Buy a similar ball/tool and do it yourself? Learn about your body and how the lymphatic system works and you can easily and safely do facial massages at home... This feels like .. a weird way of trying to bait people into dropping a lot of money for something that will visibly show for some and not for others.

Idk about that electric tool. I had a facial palsy a few years ago and I had to go through therapy to get my normal movements back. They used something similar to stimulate the muscles of my face but my physician told me that it could lead to involuntary muscle contractions if you abuse it. So Idk, people tend to just jump to all these trends without knowing the consequences in a long therm. They look amazing after but with my history I wouldn't risk it.

Her head was below her feet, she layed at an angle to resist gravity. I'm not joking, i never saw her lay with her head up. Women will never learn. This stuff is crazy, and placebo. I've had it done it just helps the muscles to it helps them jump and then they relaxed afterwards

these at home videos on TikTok showing you how to massage your face are red flags
this woman was following video and even bought a plan from one of these tiktokers and she experienced turkey neck and skin sagging that she didn’t have before.
It was because she was stretching her skin out with the rollers and massages.

I thought everyone knew about this? I feel like every now and then white people discover very nice and old practices that they weren’t interested in until it looked white ?
Like sunscreen and k beauty is sth I’ve been into since 2011 but everyone always said it was lame and weird until now that kpop is more mainstream.
Chinese medicine was seen as “not so sure it works” until white influencers started talking about gua sha. There’s a lot of type of facial massage practice transmitted by Asian communities/families to their kids for centuries (like kobido massage). But now bc it’s target as “face gym” people find it so cool? I feel like when white girls go to India and come back to the west with a new type of yoga practice. It’s good to expend people’s knowledge but they never really give credit?
Massaging face and body is good to release tensions, depuff, have a better lymphatic and blood circulation, it made you relax and sleep better. There’s a lot of advantages
