Yes, especially if I haven't heard anyone say anything about the product and I'm going into it completely blind. And, yes the lipstick and headband on Lauren look incredible! 💚🖤
What I don't like about the Glossier mini palettes, is that there are three shades in a palette that fits four. Is that petty to be a little pissed off by that?
No, that sounds fair! There's nothing worse than feeling cheated, and when it looks like you'd get 4 and only get 3.. you'd have to say, why? Where's the last one?? 👍
I got the wild greens at tj maxx and it satisfied my soft eyeshadow craving they’re not overly pigmented like an ABH modern renaissance shadow. loved to see it flop on social media so I could swoop in and get it for cheaper
@@patb2582 I mean they are not "bad" per se but more like they have lost their luster and what made them unique. Some are really, really good (I have several that I do enjoy) but some really miss the mark in terms of formula or color story or overall performance. Plus Urban Decay - here in the US - is guaranteed to go on sale for at least 30% or 50% within weeks or months of their release. So, why bother paying full price?!
I paid $16 for mine at TJ Maxx and I love it for the office. The greens are subtle but pretty pigmented and compliment green eyes - I get compliments but that’s also because I’m just good with eyeshadow technique. Laurens right it’s not something I’d pay more than $20 for due to the boring color story and the fact you can get Naked palettes for $19 during a lot of sales and they’re better formulas
Thank god someone else said it about the ND pastel palette. I was so disappointed with it. I'm a light skin tone and could hardly get most of the colors to show up and be vibrant. I had to dig into the shadows and pack them on to get any sort of payoff. I really should have returned it. Because I haven't touched it for the majority of the year. What a letdown.
@@RobertaNicholson1374 not that I seen. I seen some POC talk about how it looked ashy. But besides that, everyone raved about it. In fact, I've seen it rank very highly in multiple people's end of the year videos. So yeah. Thanks for trying to be bitchy, but you were wrong🤷🏻♀️
I actually had good luck with the Hindash palette. I don’t use my fingers much and I think it blends with a brush really well. I agree that it is a unique product and therefore polarizing. Glad there is room for all of us! Happy Holidays!
I do love the concept, and want the palette so much, but it seems more for pros & talented amateurs, not permanent beginners. Lol, i've been wearing makeup for over 35 years, but only now finding the products to get the look - very bright pale lids - that I've been seeking this whole time.
Same, his palettes have quickly become my most used palettes in my collection, they’re just so convenient lol. And I agree about using a brush, I’ve found that natural hair brushes especially work well.
I love both Hindash palettes. The Beautopsy one has the only pigments that will stay on my extremely oily skin (cheeks and eyelids), and these are great to travel with. I only use brushes with them, so I was surprised to hear about the hard pans.
Nice to know someone else still holds shadows to a high standard. I am old fashion; I believe a shadow should perform effortlessly without needing a primer! When I saw Nars' climax palette online, I was immediately stoked. Paid a lot of money, & most of the shadows just don't last more than a few hours without running/creasing. Sure, they may work fine with a primer but I have countless shadows that do well entirely on their own. I now hold all shadows to the same standard. Back in my teens, we NEVER used primers; it didn't really exist.
Exactly and didn’t have to pack any makeup on and use so many steps and had better looking finishes then what they have to go through now to get a decent color story.
Lauren I've had a few beers at the time of starting this video but when I say I was crying because this was so funny. I WAS CRYING! haha Thank you for this! As always every time I prioritize watching your videos I'm happy for it! I hope you're having a great holiday break with your family!
totally agree about the natasha denona pastel palette, it was my worst beauty purchase this year for sure! I ended up taking some of the shades I liked and putting them in my other ND palettes and getting rid of the rest.
It’s so funny cause I love it because they’re mostly washes of color and it’s the only ND pallet that doesn’t turn immediately darker on me. To each their own as they say :)
I love my wild greens palette! I usually never spend that much on eyeshadow, but it is exactly what I love. And fuzz is my favorite sparkly shade in the palette. I would never have spent full price on it, but it lives on my vanity.
I love my wild greens palette. I definitely wouldn't recommend paying more than $20ish for it. Got mine on sale and love it for an easy two Shadow no makeup make-up days.

Oh God thank you! I thought I was the only one in the world who didn't like the elf camo concealer. Everybody else raved about it and I just couldn't make it work for me. I am light complected too and they looked very yellow on me and they just made my under eye area look like I just came from the crypt!
I get that awful milky gathering effect with so many lighter colored lipsticks and glosses. (Most recently the Fenty cream gloss in mauve wives 😩). So frustrating, especially, as you said, when you can’t feel it happening, but it’s so visible. I hate having to test our lip products at home before I feel confident wearing them to work.
29:40 WET N WILD MEGA SLIM SKINNY TIP LINER. Holy grail better than any other liner I’ve ever used imo. Not that easy to find anymore but if you can find it, snatch it up. I have super hooded eyes and my wing has to be so tight and that’s the only one that I don’t have to work so hard with.
I know people hate the Hindash palettes for a lot of reasons but I guess I love it for the same reasons and I appreciated how Hindash really promoted it so much on his channel, it taught me what his intention was with it. I have both and I really, really, really want the liquid blushes/highlighters (boytears) and I know his stuff is really pigmented in liquid form but kinda the opposite in the powder form. One of the things I’ve learned from watching beauty TH-cam frequently for the first time in my life over the past year or so @ age 30, peak mid millennial, is that there’s such a wide range of opinions on what “good formula” is and that there’s also this very distinct set of features that’s well liked on beauty TH-cam that’s not universal. I love that, though, because it gives me a frame of reference and when y’all review items and tell me why you don’t like them, I can make judgements on if they’re still likely to work for me. As someone who own Beautopsy and Monochromance, I was surprised with how much it was hated on TH-cam because I saved for them both at or very close to Launch and use them religiously, but it was an excellent learning experience for me in that regard! I love and appreciate the opinions, even when it’s “and I hate this thing you love,” because I love monochromance because of its very distinct difference from everything else I like. I enjoy the fact that it’s for that “color from within your skin” affect, and the fact that it’s beautifully designed for a very clean, sanitary, brush focused application. In any case, loving your content as always! I actually discovered your channel about a year ago first before other current beauty TH-camrs and then found Angelica and more - but yall are my two faves for sheer variety and descriptive honesty. Keep being awesome!
Also, Lauren, if you like some of the qualities of that formula that look like it’s coming from within but like a more hearty formula for eyeshadow that will let you dig in a bit more and has more distinct and immediate pigment, I HIGHLY recommend Lunatick Cosmetic Labs. You might like it, you might not, but it would be very interesting to see what your opinion is. I got their “stained glass” pastel palette with the huge pans and it’s my fave by far for formula on pastels and also because it has a white that mixes SO well to create new shades of pastel. OFC, blend bunny too but that’s a given. Need to catch up on noctilucent and All Done Up so I can have their entire collection again. Also… can’t WAIT to try the All Done Up liners and liquid lipsticks - they seem amazing. Actually I’d say if there was a combo or Hindash’s formula and blend bunny’s, it would be kind of like Lunatick’s.
Thank you for mentioning the wet n wild sticks. I bought a red one for an eyeshadow and it was awful. I felt stupid because I thought it must not be an eyeshadow at all because of how bad it was and that I had misunderstood.
I can’t agree about the Pastel Palette. I loved how soft and ethereal it is. I have this and Lost in Los Angeles and I far prefer the ND palette because it’s so easy to wear:) I always love your videos and I loved the juxtaposition of the beautiful festive look while talking trash about 2022 makeup:) 😂
I'm glad I'm not the only one that hated the pixi formula. It literally did not build-up, it disappeared with time, they were not true to color, I always got fall out (even with their mattes, which is odd) and they separated in my eye balls. It was awful.
I got the milk cream bronzer less than a year ago and it already smells rancid. BTW, I got several cheap cream blushes from a cheaper brand at the same time and those are still beautiful
Omg i thought i was losing my mind about the elf hydrating camo concealer. It does not last at all and it breaks up so bad on the skin. The blending and application was fun but that was about it lol. Went back to the regular camo
Wish i would have watched this in full before letting my MIL get me both the camo concealers for Christmas yesterday! Hopefully I'll be able to make the hydrating one work!
Thank you for the heads up on the Glossier Jute palette! My TJ Maxx has a bunch of them in different shades - I saw Almond & remembered you liking it, but I wasn’t sure about jute. I’ll skip!!
I got the Beautopsy from Hindash last year because it was so hyped, and I was sooo excited myself and then... I couldn't get any pigment on my light medium skin to show up other than the red shade...I returned it since I got it on Beautylish. I was very disappointed, especially since the whole appeal was that a painter ( I love painting myself ) came up with it. The ideas was phenomenal, the execution was another story. So I just couldn't bring myself to pick up anything else from Hindash, which is a shame, and this palette proves once again that this formula is just not for me.
The ELF concealer I honestly just use as a eye base on days when I’m not doing any big look, to just block out my blue veiny lids. I don’t like it on my under eyes either
I just found your channel from Angie's and I'm so glad I did, I already know I'm gonna love it here 😁 this video is amazing, I love the realness of your reviews and I always find these really helpful!
I adore the formula of that Too Faced Pillow Balm! The chocolate one is definitely... Different lol. I can get past the scent/flavor of it because the formula works so well for me. Personally I love the banana one but I'll use either flavor happily. I have 2 tubes of the banana and 1 of the chocolate. I keep them around for a dry-lip rescue procedure !
could you please do a handsoap (both regular and exfoliating, different textures etc) video and a hand lotion video. I am an aesop snob and need to not be. Id like some other things to try. Merry Christmas!!
God, i wanted to love those icon multi sticks since I love the OG NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencils. Holy crap the WnW Multis were horrible. I bought 8 and threw away 8. You're right that they sucked on the eyes, the lips, anywhere.
I got the Natasha Denona palette as a gift and while I really enjoy mixing the solid pastels with colors from other palettes, the shimmery shades had a lot of glitter fallout and they’re not very pigmented. I was expecting a pop of yellow from limoncello, but it’s really just a messy white glitter. They need to step it up.
I bought the UD palette at TJ maxx last month for $17. Reminded me of the retro glam. There is one shade that feels like a shimmer topped still playing with it.
I came across this older video of yours I missed... How can you give reviews saying "Don't buy this" insuch a kind, sweet way, but we KNOW YOJ MEAN IT, Dont waste your money!!!!, I love your honest criticism, with your foot down...your foot has spoken & I agree you are spot on! I LOVE IT,your reviews are li,e no other! 🌷
OMG.. I just bought that wild green palette in TJMaxx. Was soooo hyped and soooo disappointed!! Weak pigment, very little glitter, dull. Want my $20 back.
I think the best thing about the ND Pastel is the magnetic case lmao but she already got my money i’m going to keep using it lol even for crease shades to more colorful looks 😅
My lavender oden's eye liner was definitely dry and crumbly. I'm pretty disappointed in the Alice in wonderland palette from sigma. For a $55-60 palette I was expecting more bang for my buck. The Cheshire cat shade was not "ooh, shinny!"😍 it was oh...satin and so were a few others. 😒 Not really a brand I plan to buy from again after that.
So I said this on a previous video, but Vanilla Milk smells exactly like the noodles my mom used to make for me as a child when I was sick and nauseous and needed to eat something. They were buttered noodles with cinnamon sugar & regular sugar and vanilla extract. I needed to gain weight when I was younger and sweet things helped with my nausea lol. I still didn’t buy it but it’s a highly specific scent to me that I totally get why people hate it. I might get the travel spray some day as a reminder of my childhood but I could always just make the noodles myself.
Everybody I knew raved about that Hindash palette but I stayed away because I just didn’t get the hype. Now all my friends want to give me their palettes and I’m still thinking, nope, not even for free.
The hand soap story was 😂hysterical. No ty to shooting acid soap, bahaha. Those cheek dews were horrible. They stayed sticky too, yuck. The abt face eye paints are so good.
Only a couple min in but already loving your advice I was look at the Natasha denona pastel was on the fence def not getting it. Thanks girl! Excited for the rest of the video and your favs!!
Hilarious video!! I love the MBM palette but I agree with everything you said about it. For me, those are benefits, if that makes sense. I love that it's very one-noted bc that is THE note that I want. Pastel and Retro Glam were disappointments.
I saw Ellis Brooklyn sending out PR of Vanilla Milk with the explicit instruction to not disclose as PR. If I had to guess that’s the positive reviews.
I saw the Wild Greens palette in TJ Maxx, where makeup products go to die. Definitely get it heavily discounted if you do! If I hadn't seen Lauren's video, I may have been tempted to get it. XD
I love both Hindash palettes but I had to remove all the pans and put them in a magnetic lorac palette. Prior to that it got SO dirty. They were worth saving because i'd spent so much on the palettes but the formula is the best i've ever used. I'm wondering if Isamaya has similar formulas.
@@isthatjackson It was tricky! I used a thread unpicker and a needle. Luckily I could wiggle it and push it against the cardboard to kind of stretch the palette so I could prize it out, if that makes sense. 100% worth the effort. Good luck!!!
Isamaya’s formula (at least for the Industrial palette) isn’t really comparable to Hindash because its very shimmer heavy. They have a few mattes but they’re not exactly matte, they have a bit of a bouncy feeling. Imo it had a bit more of a learning curve as compared to the Hindash palette but i’d highly recommend it if you love playing around with shimmer and eyeshadow
I like EOS in the round pods. They are nice and thick and perfect before a matte lipstick. The tubes are much thinner. Yeah, greasy. I just use that for night time.
I literally feel the exact same way about the Urban Decay palette. Like down to the exact words you say. I wanted it to be better than it was. I was so disappointed.
Lol HARD agree about the Cocoa TF Pillow Balm! The smell is gross... BUT the mango?? It's my 100% absolute favorite liquid balm ever! I discovered them last year and I've been through like 7 or 8 since then. When I have one I literally ignore all my other balms and use it till it's gone. Did I mention that it's my fave?? 😂😂
I tried a lot of Ellis Brooklyn fragrances through samples, but none of them really appeal to me. So new releases from this brand are not very exciting to me. I did like the name, 'vanilla milk' sounds delicious.
Have you de-potted a plastic eyeshadow palette? What are your secrets? I have de-potted cardboard palettes no problem but am a little intimidated by plastic ones. I have a couple palettes where only like and use a handful of shades in each and want to declutter shades I don’t use. You look super festive and cute today!
To me, my most disappointed purchase was the Viseart petit four Violetta palette. I have had great experience with Viseart, and the colors are so beautiful. But the showstopper shimmer is a pain in the butt to work with. So much fallout, I have glitter all over my face, no matter what I do. It's so much work to get a good look out of it. I love the colors, but hate using it. Such a shame.
I only like certain shades from the Color Icon all over color. I tried the green for example and it smeared all over. It looked good for a second that goodness. The bronze and brick colors are fine because they look good smeared.
I was so excited to try that hangover lip balm and I'm with you on this I hated it. I thought the smell was weird and I also thought the texture was weird
Anyone else feel like buying makeup is like gambling sometimes lol 😅 that lipstick looks amazing on you and with the headband so cute!
especially during the pandemic lockdowns when our only way of buying makeup was online.
Yes, especially if I haven't heard anyone say anything about the product and I'm going into it completely blind. And, yes the lipstick and headband on Lauren look incredible! 💚🖤
I need to stick to what is good because I try new makeup that I hate.
It would be so nice if companies offered more samples, but they know that's not the way to maximize profits.
Especially with higher end stuff it's what keeps me from impulse purchasing these days.
What I don't like about the Glossier mini palettes, is that there are three shades in a palette that fits four. Is that petty to be a little pissed off by that?
Seriously. It’s obviously a quad…but isn’t 😂😂
I’m also feeling petty about that 🤨
right? like it's structured so stupidly. i don't know why they chose that packaging. they could have done other things to fit only 3...

Grateful that the youtube's algorithm suggested your video to me! You're my type of TH-camr. Genuine reviews, lmao love the cussing! Instant sub!
I got the milk cream bronzer less than a year ago and it already smells rancid. BTW, I got several cheap cream blushes from a cheaper brand at the same time and those are still beautiful
Yes! That playdough scent 🚩
You look gorgeous 😄 Red looks amazing on you and that sparkly green top!!
You’re breaking my heart with the wnw sticks!! I love them & the glittery ones from the peanuts collection are so nice!!
Thank you for the heads up on the Glossier Jute palette! My TJ Maxx has a bunch of them in different shades - I saw Almond & remembered you liking it, but I wasn’t sure about jute. I’ll skip!!
That is the most perfect red that you are wearing. Stunning!!!
I love you red and green festive look!!
I'm trying to be so good and not buying crap. I so appreciate videos like this! Thanks 😊
Lauren, you look amazing in a red lip!
Your look is giving Norwegian goddess!! Seriously suits you ❤
could you please do a handsoap (both regular and exfoliating, different textures etc) video and a hand lotion video. I am an aesop snob and need to not be. Id like some other things to try. Merry Christmas!!
"Continue to not have it on your radar" LOOOL, so shady, I love it.
I’ve been eyeing the mini aethr palette. Good to know the darkest shade isn’t what it looks like in the pan
love the lipstick headband combo!!! soooo gorgeous
Saw the thumbnail and had to comment on how epic your look is today! ❤
"Let's talk shit about some makeup" immediate follow, I have found my community
Love your honesty 🤍
Not really a brand I plan to buy from again after that.
Pillow Balm by Too Faced are amazing...please try again...get the pink one I think its watermelon...I've tried all of them except the chocolate
Okay ma'am. I died laughing as you crossed the description barrier when Sharpie came into play! Baaaaugh Haaaa, ha ha😂
The handsoap debacle was hilarious!😂
In fact….the whole video was hilarious! I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
Ooh I think that Mellow shadow would look great as a highlighter and ironically, the Flower highlighter would look stunning as a shadow!
XD
Get the profusion harvest palette. Best green/olive palette
I never like hairbands but that hairband is stunning on you loving it!
Yay. I get to be first! Just watching Lauren while wrapped up from the cold in the Midwest! Love you in a red lip. Very festive!
Hope you can stay warm and safe!! Happy holidays!! ❤️❤️❤️
This look is goals, Lauren. I loveeeeee it
I love both Hindash palettes but I had to remove all the pans and put them in a magnetic lorac palette. Prior to that it got SO dirty. They were worth saving because i'd spent so much on the palettes but the formula is the best i've ever used. I'm wondering if Isamaya has similar formulas.
Was it easy to depot? I’ve been wanting to do that with mine
@@isthatjackson It was tricky! I used a thread unpicker and a needle. Luckily I could wiggle it and push it against the cardboard to kind of stretch the palette so I could prize it out, if that makes sense. 100% worth the effort. Good luck!!!
Isamaya is a different formula. I love Hindash as well as Isamaya as they are absolutely unique and I get beautiful looks with both!
@@sandragreenberg6010 thank you so much for letting me know! Do you know if there any formulas similar to the Hindash E/S anywhere else out there?
I was so disappointed.
this whole look is beautiful!
I would die for my mango pillow balm 😂 it’s so long-lasting and the flavor/scent is phenomenal!! Good to know that the chocolate one isn’t great tho!
I tried a lot of Ellis Brooklyn fragrances through samples, but none of them really appeal to me. So new releases from this brand are not very exciting to me. I did like the name, 'vanilla milk' sounds delicious.
Love your look! The head band the lipstick 💄
I really appreciate this video because I was tempted by the pastel palette by Natasha denona
Use a hair straightener to loosen up the glue. Use a baking paper to prevent the melted plastic from sticking to the iron. Or use an induction stove
I need to know what is on the eyes in this video ❤ it’s beautiful!!
I love that you have return to the pink hair. You loo amazing always, don't get me wrong, but it suits you SO well.
The bronze and brick colors are fine because they look good smeared.
the design for the wild greens palette is so hideous, it gives middle school sketchbook in the worst way. i'm not surprised its doing poorly
I was so excited to try that hangover lip balm and I'm with you on this I hated it. I thought the smell was weird and I also thought the texture was weird
Merry Christmas Lauren!!! You’re my top beauty TH-camr. I love your content and your love for beauty that I have. ❤❤❤
You're hilarious.. Love your commentary and reviews. Keep it coming
