This is a small-selection of songs by Nicola Conte, including "Natural" and "A Gira" with Stefania Dipierro, "Ode to Billie Joe" with Bridgette Amofah.
Nicola Conte
Latin-jazz artist, composer, producer, and DJ from Bari, Italy.
Born: 1964 in Bari, Apulia, Italy.
Along with recording many albums of his own, Conte has recorded and produced for a great many other artists, including Rosalia De Souza, Barbara Dennerlein, Stefania Di Pierro, and more. He also has several regular musicians he has worked with, including Gianluca Petrella, Fabrizio Bosso, Pietro Lussu, Sandro Deidda, Pietro Ciancaglini, Daniele Scannapieco, Lorenzo Tucci, et al. Many of these artists are associated acts on his regular Italian label Schema, which he too manly records for, although many of his albums have received international distribution by the major Universal Music Group, under several of their labels.
He has also been quite a prolific remix producer, usually releasing many remixes or reversions for other artists each year, including several for Japanese artist Tatsuo Sunaga (aka Sunaga T Experience) and for jazz band associates The Five Corners Quintet.
Along with recording/remixing, he also DJ's internationally, and has compiled several compilations, two of which feature over several volumes; "Viagem" and the "Deep, Afrocentric, Modal Jazz Series".

I like Nicolas broad variety of style in music but his keen sense to keep and or to revitalize the acid bossa style of jazz in a lot of his music recordings and live performances. I hope to one day in the next year or so to see him in a concert here in the states. I am soon to be doing mobile dj work here where I live in some local upscale establishments and I plan to play in addition of the standards and traditional style jazz stuff? I will also or would love to play and introduce many here to Mr. Conte' s music as I know it will be well received by a big number of jazz loving folks here...and after that ? I may expand business into Las Vegas Nevada where again ? I will be spinning many great jazz tunes including a lot of Nicolas music. In close I'm am extremely glad I discovered Mr. Conte' s music as it in my view adds yet another layer of music in a great unigue way to the world of jazz music. Grazie to both you for sharing this post and most of all to Nicola Conte for his keen ear and love to music. Ciao.

Oh yes, I really lovelovelove this and must thank Ben Ben Dns for sending me the link because this just INCREDIBLE - ZIPI, A NEW FAN AND, thank you Ben because this brings me back to my youth and the “Village” in NYC where there were so many Jazz clubs and I’m sure some are still there. When I was a beatnik also, the real BEATNICKS of the time wore French Berets and before I was a hippie and into disco, this is where I used to go frequently - great clubs - underground clubs and more. So beautiful so ty ty ty.

I bumped into this artist about 15 years ago. Fair enough, I don't like some of his stuff, but some of it I really adore. He is exceptionally cool. Wish he was playing a gig here in Verona, Italy. Be it in a club or cool bar. I'd miss work to get to see him. And I'd simply love hearing negotiating style with some deep house music or techno dub. Anyone got a listening suggestions for me? I grew up on jazz, reggae, disco, jazz funk, hip hop, house and the unavoidable history of pop and rock. Loving techno dub, but it's real time consuming finding the bomb stuff, especially with a bit of dancing beat to it... Thanks so much for uploading this collection. It's having no trouble pushing me issues to the back burner while I'm preparing a curry here in NE Italy.
phverona wow, I'm jealous yet happy for you. You live in Italy as to what consider one of God's gifts to us here on mother earth . Of course my being Italian American has little to do with it. But allow me to say ?? In my view life for a guy like me as living a slice of heaven ? Would be living in like maybe Bari Italy where my Great grandfather is from but being in a very cool Italian Bossa style jazz bar and living day to day with great food ,? Vino....a Bellissima view of the harbor the company of a beautiful middle aged woman and surrounded by a great number of really good fellow jazz lovers ....Now that ?? To me ???
