Shoutout to Horikoshi for grinding for 10 whole years to create what is overall an amazing series. Even though the manga is over, I have a feeling that the upcoming movie won’t be the last. Maybe it’s me being optimistic but the ending left so much potential for a movie during their 2nd or 3rd year at UA (someone pls come back to this comment in 3 years to tell me if I was right)
Not sure if I want a series about their 2nd and 3rd year knowing the outcome. But would be cool to see a spinoff about deku as a quirkless hero with his iron man suit. Or a new series about a new generation. But Horikoshi definity deserves the rest now.
@@lieslemmens7762 there is always the option of a fanfic or a roleplay, but I would actually wouldn't mind seeing that as it could give us an idea what happened between Izuku and Ochako. @@lieslemmens7762 yeah that also true. This would give us an idea if Izuku and Ochako are a couple or not, which now it doesn't seem like it. I honestly don't care about that, as it doesn't really change or affect the story
@@soul8648 would like some kind of conformation about it. Because it was quite a plot point for Uravity. Doesn't have to be much but now it seems to be ignored.
NGL, as someone who tried (and quit) being a teacher after two years, I have extreme sympathy for Deku... I'm less stressed working in a hospital (Biomedical Scientist) than I ever was working in a school!
I've heard that teachers are generally treated with MUCH more respect as a profession in Japan than in the west. So Japanese readers apparently don't see as much issue with this ending. If anything, they respect the face he became a teacher.
Been here since the first chapter and seeing Izuku be a hero even without powers that showed me that even without a quirk; his heart was what made him the hero he is today.
That was his character, and in the end the message kinda just says... No You get a taste of it, you do all the hard work, and then you give up everything, and your sacrifice leaves you broken and alone
Yet he sat around for 8 years not doing anything once he lost his quirk and only got back in the game once he got a handout that explicitly mimicked the power he had at his peak…
He became a nobody teaching high schoolers. Has no friends for 8 years and didnt accomplish shit at the end. Peaked in high school. Irrelevant person who nobody knows lmao.
It's an 8/10 for me, needed a few more chapters but at the end the kid who wanted to be a great hero and help people ended up becoming a great hero that helped people. People too focused on him not having powers and working a regular job (a job he says he enjoys cause it allows him to still help and guide others). Deku never cared to be famous and just wanted to help, he's still doing that.
@@mei.potate big facts Ending ain't perfect, but people were fooling themselves if they thought all the stuff they wanted to be talked about (I don't even know why anyone cares about his dad) or shown was going to pop up when the announcement we only had a few chapters left came up. My main thing is just wanting to see all of 1-A (and B) some more since it's the last time we'd see them.
Agreed, the ending is an 8/10 for me also. I think we could’ve used a few more chapters showing us class A, class B, Mirio, Neijere and Amajiki as pros and what they’re up to. Especially since it’ll be the last time we get to see them again. I’d also like to see guest appearances of other characters like the students in shiketsu and seeing if other pro heroes from before are still active like Jeanist and Mirko. Probably also see how the treatment towards heteromorphs have improved and Uraraka and her team dealing with quirk counseling. THAN we get to this chapter dedicated to concluding Deku’s story. Speaking of which, Deku did end up getting a good ending. He’s a teacher at U.A guiding the next generation of heroes, planting dreams in others and being able to inspire and encourage others with his presence and past achievements. When you look at it, it’s kinda his own way of being a hero without a quirk. And the cherry on top is that he gets a power suit that’s incredibly more advanced than the one All Might used against prime AFO, and can continue living out his dreams of being a hero and physically saving people along with his friends. Overall 8/10 ending. But could’ve been better if we had a few more chapters for other characters before this one and a few other things here and there.
Implying that its a problem for people to dislike Deku losing his powers is odd seeing as one of the main focuses of the entire story is Deku's growth and mastery over OFA
thank you horikoshi for this show that made me smile, laugh, tear up and have moments that i will always cherish and inspire me untill my finals days and i wish horikoshi all the best in his future endeavors cheers 🍷🍸🍸 i have mixed feeling about this chapters, like it mostly good but i do have a few issues one been the ending feeling super rushed (hopefully season 8 will be aleast 30 ep so they can expand upon certain scenes) firstly, it great seeing the grown up versions of these character and to see how there stories end, although i do we had more chapter dedicated to post timeskip world (the fan artist are going to have a field day) "chicken dr " is the yoshi dr who was first appered in ch 301 also gentle and la brava got married which is nice to see that there love is still as strong as ever also also, if you look next to panel of deku foot, you can see kamanari and jiro angencies are next door to each other and uraraka has a air filter around her neck similar to deku secondly, i love the full circle moment of deku inspiring other like all might did for him and telling a child "you can be become a hero" is amazing showing his growth from who was inspired by his hero to become an inspirstion to others also, i believe "do your best kid" is what the guy with the ninja star on his head said in ch 1 to deku which is a nice call back thirdly, i am abit dissapointed that deku lost ofa like i can understand the narrative reasoning of "you dont need a quirk to be a hero" but it feel very cruel for deku to earn a quirk from his mentor and work so hard to master it to give it up in the end dont get me wrong i really like deku amoured suit and there is no doubt wil be strong enough to take on afo.level threats, .I just would have pefered it if he aleast kept the embers and had the iron deku suit to compensate or the ofa reingited somehow i dont know, maybe i will warm up to iron man deku but im not sure really how to feel at the moment untill i sit on and think about it for a while farewell mha go beyond, plus ultra
I actually thought bakugou was going to die in the story but we saw all might vestige and I thought before bakugou would die he would give deku The last ember of all for one and possibly his quirk to still give a chance to be a hero But no... That would kill the popular character ....
I’m actually happy that Gentle and La brava got married, I wanted them to get married for a long time now, and finally they have, they are my number one Power couple.
@@nightrunner4817 i just realized that gentle might is a drop out, yet he got the girl and they started a business together... Yet deku was a drop out and saved the world.. he became a minimum wage teacher and then he became a hero again in 8 years.... See this this is why I don't understand the ending
I remember first reading the MHA manga in 2019 and watching the anime the same year after a friend of mine recommended it to me since at the time I wanted to watch an anime. I’m so glad to have watched this series and to have read the manga. Thank you to Horikoshi for making this series and after ten whole years, it has come to an end. One thing I wish we could’ve gotten answers for is who Deku’s dad is? I wish he made an appearance
So many things were left unanswered, it's almost like they purposefully made the most unsatisfactory ending they possibly could. I really hope they change their decisions on the ending in the anime
Im so sad this story is over now, mha holds a special place in my heart alongside animes like bleach - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - HunterXHunter - Jujutsu Kaisen and tower of god. Still though I feel like the story ended too soon and their were so many things that were still unresolved in the story like the quirk singularity doomsday theory - or who did all for one steal the stockpile power quirk from and all for one’s friends all over the world.
Same here. It’ll always have a special place but like I say in the vid it just didn’t reach its full potential. But that said, what we have is still good, it just *could’ve* been goated with some tweaks
@@TurtleQuirkI especially agree with your part of the story taking place in 1 year of everything happening, I feel like if the story progressed as they went through each year it would’ve made much more sense . Also I had this idea of maybe like how shigaraki had physical enhancements to his body deku might’ve gotten physical enhancement due to cultivating one for all so even if he doesn’t have a quirk he would have natural super strength and stuff.
Afo is gone and so OFA has no more reason to exist. The current generation is much stronger than the previous one and Mirio DID give up on being a hero for a while and begged Eri to give his quirk back. OFA wasnt erased with her quirk it faded away naturally and Deku would never ask that of Eri. The doomsday theory can be addressed in a sequel potentially and even then it wasn't that big of a deal because its gonna take a few generations to become an actual problem.
Mirio ALSO went back to being a hero before he got his quirk back and took on Overhaul of all people, unlike Deku who sat around for YEARS before getting new power handed to him so he finally started saving people again.
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel I love this video and channel Thanks you for your video and channel I love my hero academia all franchise
I like the ending, but I get not liking parts of it. But people are just making stuff up about not getting recognition, or his friends leaving him, and more. People need to read the chapter…
Seriously, it's implied that Deku and Ochako still have feelings for each other, Deku's Friends not only still cared about him for 8 years, they literally FUNDED his hero suit so he could get his dream of being a hero back again, and on his very first day of being back as a hero, THEY WERE ALL THERE FOR HIM BY HIS SIDE AGAIN! After all his years of inspiring them! If this isn't a sweet and wholesome ending that showed Deku's selfless giving as a person being rewarded by being paid back in full by his friends wasn't a good ending, I don't know what to tell these haters.
@@kinghyperheart1571 IMO, Ending felt way too rushed. I don't think anyone would have minded if they took another 5-10 pages (or 1-2 more chapters) resolving story points. In regards to Deku/Ochako, why even leave it at the stage of implied feelings? Why not just resolve it? To avoid hurting the feelings of shippers? Because it's more poetic/realistic? It just felt like a copout. Also, I feel it would have been better if they DIDN'T do the hero suit. Have Deku be happy and fulfilled being just a teacher, to really reinforce the point that being a hero is more than just having powers or a fancy suit. Show how being a teacher has helped him "save" students. Also way too many loose ends that are either not addressed or rely on a single small panel for readers to make assumptions. I don't think the ending is trash, but it definitely could have been written a lot better.
@@chapacoka Disagree with the suit thing, I still think Deku can be a hero both in the class room like you say, but still could be a hero again in the streets. As for Deku and Ochako, I suppose I can agree that they should've made Deku and Ochako relationship more definitive, because apparently implication alone s not every's cup of tea, but yeah, I can agree with most of this. I do agree that this ending could've been given more time, the world and story details could've been fleshed out more, I agree the ending and story overall isn't perfect, but not even the greatest stories are. I do agree that there could've and should've been given more, but unfortunately Horikosh was slowing down, and the publishers rushing him weren't helping. Also considering what we got with endings like Attack on Titan, this could've been much worse as an ending. It is what it is, but I'm satisfied with this ending.
I hear ya AND AGREE ON A LOT, but a few things: 1. Izuku no longer having his/a quirk is the entire mantra of the show: you can be a regular person and still change the world. 2. Quirk Doomsday Theory is one that matches the universe from Newton's law: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If there are less heroes because society is better, there is no need for an opposition. The plot point is very fitting when acknowledging Newton's law. The law is technically a theory so your point is valid, I'm just saying that there is a firm argument against it. 3. Deku being "the greatest hero" is because of the difference he made. All Might didn't become the greatest hero due to his abilities, but due to his symbolism and Deku did just that! 4. Just like Deku, Shigaraki is an emblem. At the end, Shigaraki actually won with Deku because the concept of "Hero" was changed so it wasn't just stop villains, but PREVENTING villains in the first place. All in all, the story is not our stereotypical hero vs villain situation, but that's because they made it more realistic. Most situations do not really have a right and wrong, but preference based on experiences, placement, and understanding. It's not your average manga/anime. It is a a layered story that was designed to challenge our thought processes (which is why there was that section for the villains and their story which by the way, ALMOST NEVER gets to be told, so we all can realize that there really aren't that many bad people in the world; just bad circumstances that lead to rage and hate against "the norm" because said thing was created WITHOUT thinking about those that don't fit. This is just another manga/anime that makes you question yourself because we lack that in our world society today; especially with how corrupt the norm can be. i TRULY thank you for this video and I acknowledge your thoughts and I am not saying you are wrong; just stating my opinion. We gotta do a better job at that too btw lol....
I honestly liked the ending. Honestly,I think people also fail to realize one of the reasons Deku also probably had to stop was because his body took HEAVY damage beyond repair
@joelrobinson5457 I mean you'd think they try that but if Eri's quirk takes things back to it's previous form that wouldn't really work depending on how long it was and how long deku took that damage
Well, let's not forget that Bakugo also received heavy damage to his body that rightfully should have either ended his career or his life. Didn't stop him from ending the series placing near the top of the charts (or at least above Todoroki if the dialogue is accurate) with his personality still being treated as his greatest weakness.
Mirio fought quirkless because he HAD to, he was the only person standing between Eri and Overhaul. We didn’t see him fight again until he got his quirk back. I also hate how people act like he won that fight against Overhaul, cause he didn’t.
Appreciate your videos over the years. I don't even remember when I subbed probably around 10k subs and I just want to say that you earned every single subscriber you've gained. I'm also sad that BNHA finally ended since i've been reading / watching the anime since 2014.
As funny as the memes have been, I do think that solely Deku's ending is actually pretty decent. I don't think it's the greatest ending ever for him and I don't think Horokoshi stuck the landing perfectly, but I feel like people are blowing his ending out of proportion. It's been set up from the beginning that you don't need superpowers/a quirk to make heroic contributions and it's also been set up that OFA would fade away from Deku. The execution for these points could be criticized, but people are acting like these two things haven't been core points that the series have made shows that people don't pay attention. I do think it was weird to add in the little anecdote that Deku doesn't really talk to his classmates and that nothing came out of the Uraraka relationship. There are a lot of valid criticisms to be made about MHA's ending as a whole but I feel like people are really exaggerating about Deku's specific ending.
thank you! Izuku did become a hero not for statue or prize, he did as a hero who saves others with a smile even if it means risking his life. That's legit what he wanted to do. What you explained and said was what is happening in real life even. All people wants is shipping, Izuku being number 1, and power ups. They don't care about what the character/s actually are
Media literacy is almost entirely absent in anime communities. MHA was far from perfect and had many issues along the way, but people tripping over the ending, yet look past all the actual bad writing that occurred through our the series, irks me lol
@@francjameso it's not the anime that has issues, it's just the "fans" if you can call them that even fans if they complain about the ending THIS MUCH. If they complain about the ending because of shipping, Izuku not being number 1, and OFA, then they did not watch the anime for the anime but just for the fights
Probably because the execution is rather lousy. Everyone loves FMAB ending wich is similar in context, probably because FMA had far better world-building and pacing. I'm honestly suprised the quirk doomsday theory got no recognition at all.
7:00 I had the exact same problem with the ending. Mirio got permeation back. Some of the quirks AFO stole came back to their original owners. Horikoshi don't even hesitate to bring people back from death: Bakugo, Endeavor, Allmight (who was literally becoming a vestige when Bakugo saved him with his second out-of-nowhere power up), and even that Yakuza gramps. But for Deku? There was no miracle for him. We will never see the new symbol of peace...
@@nightrunner4817 true, but superman is a symbol, a representation of hope. That's what Midoria could have been, imagine shit going down, all seems lost, similar to the first epi when Katsuki was grabbed by sewage man, and though terrified he desperately tries to help, then gets horribly injured, teenage Eri who he was training, tries to heal him because he refuses to flee, trying to buy his friends and civilians alike, a few more seconds to escape, breaking free from erasorhead's grip and standing by their side, in a parallel to the overhaul fight, and in doing so, rewinding injury each more severe than the last, her improved quirk usage, due to Izuku's training, accidentally sparks one for all back to life, How's that for an ending set up? Rather than the depressing thing we get at the end, timeskips are cheap too
7:23 Sir creating artificial quirks is illegal! no way in character deku would accept a quirk that was basicly taken from another person and its pretty inhuman. at least with the suit deku wears it knowing its thx to his friends help hes here. Also i dont understand its prefrenced multilple times after the war that deku became the greatest hero and changed society? Also dont many mc peak early? like naruto got every power at 17 and fought litteral gods while still in the lowest ninja possition. Yuji achieved peak of jujutsu in just a couple of months being a sourcerer. tanjiro the same year fought the demon king witch is insane. one thing i will say it really did felt rushed but i blame the deadline. the anime suprisingly fixes the pacing most of the time so i hoping the last chapter getting animated will have extra scenes. Also maybe after horikoshi rested he can write a sequal since they're is definetly huge potential still
So the ending is clearly not as bad as the internet made it out to be. I swear some of the shit people are saying about the ending has to be them projecting their fetishes onto this series
thanks for providing a balanced take and not just ranting about how much the ending sucked. You did a great job highlighting the strengths and weaknesses
All might proved that you don't need a quirk to be a hero. But would be nice if Deku had some quirk left. But the ending was fine. Would probably worked better if Deku was able to make the suit himself like Iron Man.
To be fair, if you’re fighting someone who can destroy a city with a flick of their fingers, you’re gonna need more than just support equipment Hell, even Batman has super power pills for this😂😂😂😂😂
I wish Deku could've kept either the stockpiling power and nurture it into a super strength quirk (similar to All might at the start of the series), and have support gear that boosts it to a more usable level in the meantime. Ideally I would've loved it if he could've been allowed to keep Blackwhip. if not that, I wish they didn't leave him out of the plan for the suit for 8 years, I feel like he should've been taking an active role in assisting with the development and continuing hero work in addition to becoming a UA teacher (not unlike Eraserhead).
wow i remember subscribing to you when you were talking about the first half of the war arc like 3 years ago and now i've came back to watch you talk about the ending lol
I just realised... in the first chapter, Deku says that this is the story about how he became the number one hero. The timeskip showing that he never did means one of two things: 1. There might be a sequel to My hero Academia 2. Deku was lying all along.
Deku literally said “greatest” and he became the greatest hero and all might stated that in chapter 424 and it’s one thing abt ur comment: 1. You didn’t read the manga and it’s not that hard to read a chapter? And deku said greatest hero multi times and you still think he said n1 hero?
@@Helldiver_RX well just letting yk that some yters that you watch they can be wrong and spread missing like they did to mha ending (most of thoose reasons are trash they did not read the manga 😭),you can read the chapters online
the ending for me is 7.9/10 they are some unasnwered qusetions that i wanted to know but I'm happy mha ended it was one of my fav series -deku is popular and haves statue with class a and class a didnt forget abt him so they still talk to him and it shows they are good friends for deku (they funded for his suit) - for me i see that deku became greatest hero I think he only said how we became greatest heroes was bcs he didnt want to take all shine for himself and wanted to share with the ppl that he inspired and wanted to be like him - deku becoming a teacher 2nd things fits him ngl, works at most expensive school and its for heroes and all teachers are pro heroes so deku was also pro hero when he was quirkless like all might - 1- deku loves ua, 2- he loves studying quirks and tells the person how to use it quirk , 3- we see that he told dia what to do with his quirk and it was trash quirk, so this is why I see being teacher fits him 2nd and after him getting the suit he is like aizawa and im happy for him.
MHA’s ending really doesn’t make any sense, you’re telling me that Deku was broadcast beating shigaraki and everyone was CHEERING for him and at the end he… fades into obscurity and lives a quiet life as a teacher??? If someone saved the world irregardless if they lost their powers after or not they would not be able to catch a break from the crowds and they would have world governments offering lots of money to get Deku a new hero suit that can give him some of his powers back. There’s NO WAY you can just return to a quiet life for EIGHT YEARS after saving the world.
@@TheChosen1incits still dosent make any sense. It literally still shows people idolizing and worshipping heroes at the end. Just not Deku. The world of mha will never stop idolizing heroes or else they wont be called heroes. Super heroes live off the people who support and idolize them so more heroes can become possible. Its just dumb and weird and makes no sense at all.
I cannot explain my despair enough Deku had one dream I for one thought he would have a statue which represents hope. From ep 1 he said THIS IS HOW WE BECAME THE GREATEST HEROS. NOW I FEEL LIKE AUTHOR HATES MIDORIYA OR SOMETHING. NO WAY AUTHOR COULD DO THIS TO HIS MC I'M SO SAD GIVE ME MY 8YRS BACK THIS IS THE WORST POSSIBLE ENDING TO MHA ever. Never in my worst possible nightmare i thought this could happen.
What’s funny is that conditions for teachers in Japan are much better than a lot of other places so it’s not a bad spot for Deku to be in. But if Naruto didn’t become hokage and instead just took up Iruka’s role, would we have gotten the same response? I think so, there is definitely something missing. Iron Deku feels like a consolation prize for someone that should’ve been given more for his efforts.
One of my big annoyances with the series was Deku getting too powerful too fast, so I actually like him loosing his quick and I might pick my hero academia up again. And him getting the quirk felt like lucky circumstances. Instead of earning it. While I think he earned it while he had the quirk, how he got the quirk never sat right with me. So I am happy he lost it in the end.
And shouldn't deku have at least a more strength? Like stronger than a human without a strength quirk could achieve since his body had to adapt to ofas strength or atleast and absurd physical endurance for a regular human
would have been great if turn into hidden arc. where he saw the quirk doomsday. and start the use of quirk removal virus plus he also have acquired the AFO ability and takes quirk away. would have been great if the ending ends that even with no special power you can be a hero. the ending sucks just shows you still need special power to be a hero
@@joelrobinson5457Yes, the kid on last chapter say "Deku? Izuku Midoriya!? You really exist?" I swear I am always getting into series way too late. I read all of AoT's manga and anime last year and I'm only on volume 10 of MHA and haven't watched the anime yet
Yeah Izuku just stopping being a hero was strange. He is physically strong for being quirkless with his prior exercise and giving up isn't his character. Sure seeing him being a teacher was interesting, but he could still be a hero. He never wanted to be the strongest just a hero. Honestly Shinso could have mind controlled Garaki to do something to either have him cultivate his emebrs into something new or give him a quirk. I really wished Shigaraki and Izuku actually had a dynamic similar to All Might and AFO. They never interacted alot in the story only on rare occasions. The quirk doomsday theory was too quickly forgotten. The damage Shigaraki cause can't be easily forgotten. I do not believe MHA has not reached its full potential in the end. It should have lasted longer instead of being rushed. Overall it was still great. It is because of mha that I first found your channel and watched it grow. I enjoyed every vid you made up until now.

Imagine if One Piece gets this kind of ending. Luffy loses his haki and his devil fruit powers and never becomes pirate king. His crew continues to sail without him, exploring and living their best lives, while he becomes a fisher living back on his island. And one day his crew randomly comes back and bring him a new devil fruit or something and say come with us or something like that. IOr if Naruto never became Hokage and lost all his chakra and became a mundane person and never ended up with Hinata. Or if Bleach ended with Ichigo defeating Aizen and losing his powers. All of those would be terrible endings just like this one is.
Letting AFO just... vanish from the story after being beaten by All Might would have been a horrible decision. Shigaraki is a foil for Deku. He NEEDED AFO to be there, who is the foil and complete opposite of All Might. One passes his vision on to the next generation and allows the younger people to find their own path forward that is uniquely theirs. The other selfishly clings to their own personal goals and uses his protege only as a means to accomplish them. It's great storytelling if only MHA "fans" had basic reading comprehension. Seriously, I feel like this ending and the entire final war arc were much better than people give it credit for if only they met the story on its own terms rather than wishing it could be something that it isn't.
Crazy that people read the series to the end and yet they haven't read a single chapter based on them hating on the ending. I find the ochako and deku shippers to be the most cringe. This ain't even a Romance manga why you crying here? Somehow fmab which has a similar ending is well received in the fandom and mha fandom is mad at this ending cuz they literally toddlers. Deku got his power suit(horikoshi's original design) which is nice. The way they think class 1 a ghosted deku of one speech bubble is geniunely concerning. But all that said its a 9/10 ending and im coping for a sequel. Cuz we need to see deku's dad and quirk singularity theory in action
Aside from the Final War arc sorta dragged on for too long and I personally still wished Toga had survived to have taken part in Ochaco’s program. Perhaps I’m saying this as a Toga fanboy.

@@HalcyonEX she had love interest yes, but she even said it herself that she doesn't have time for this due to her being a hero in season 4 or something with the hero program. They are classmates and friends trying to help each other and others, so they don't have time with personal reasons as it should giving the era they lived with Shigaraki and the others, even at the END OF THE SERIES, after the war, Ochako had PTSD/trauma including Izuku so they just helped each other getting over it. Unlike in the Naruto anime where most was focused of the love interest, here it's about them as heroes helping others. I got no idea why they are upset as legit the drink truck from episode before had "green tea" aka Izuku's favorite drink aka Ocha = team and Midori = green. So now they got over their trauma/PTSD, they can move on with their lives as heroes and Izuku can finally do what he wants a hero helping others with a smiling on his face like All Might. While he at the start was a teacher that's actually fitting giving Izuku as a character, he at the last chapter IS AN ACTIVE HERO with support items

Not a comic book expert but pretty sure Batman didn't learn to fight "himself"
You mean seek out the world’s greatest martial artists to train him.
When Allmight lost OFA he still kept his reaction speed, even with no embers. That will come in handy along with his power suit.
deku doesnt have billions of dollars
See I thought that's what the series was going to be the whole time
And the ball that Ochako threw is still going
Been here since the first chapter and seeing Izuku be a hero even without powers that showed me that even without a quirk; his heart was what made him the hero he is today.
That was his character, and in the end the message kinda just says... No
You get a taste of it, you do all the hard work, and then you give up everything, and your sacrifice leaves you broken and alone
It would've been better if Horikoshi also included Katsuma alongside Kota.
Kota was there, deku is his sensei now

It's an 8/10 for me, needed a few more chapters but at the end the kid who wanted to be a great hero and help people ended up becoming a great hero that helped people.
People too focused on him not having powers and working a regular job (a job he says he enjoys cause it allows him to still help and guide others). Deku never cared to be famous and just wanted to help, he's still doing that.
And honestly teaching at *U.A* ain’t even a ‘normal job’ anyway…
@@mei.potate big facts
Ending ain't perfect, but people were fooling themselves if they thought all the stuff they wanted to be talked about (I don't even know why anyone cares about his dad) or shown was going to pop up when the announcement we only had a few chapters left came up.
Implying that its a problem for people to dislike Deku losing his powers is odd seeing as one of the main focuses of the entire story is Deku's growth and mastery over OFA

i have mixed feeling about this chapters, like it mostly good but i do have a few issues one been the ending feeling super rushed (hopefully season 8 will be aleast 30 ep so they can expand upon certain scenes)
firstly, it great seeing the grown up versions of these character and to see how there stories end, although i do we had more chapter dedicated to post timeskip world (the fan artist are going to have a field day)
"chicken dr " is the yoshi dr who was first appered in ch 301
also gentle and la brava got married which is nice to see that there love is still as strong as ever
also also, if you look next to panel of deku foot, you can see kamanari and jiro angencies are next door to each other and uraraka has a air filter around her neck similar to deku
secondly, i love the full circle moment of deku inspiring other like all might did for him and telling a child "you can be become a hero" is amazing showing his growth from who was inspired by his hero to become an inspirstion to others
also, i believe "do your best kid" is what the guy with the ninja star on his head said in ch 1 to deku which is a nice call back
thirdly, i am abit dissapointed that deku lost ofa like i can understand the narrative reasoning of "you dont need a quirk to be a hero" but it feel very cruel for deku to earn a quirk from his mentor and work so hard to master it to give it up in the end
dont get me wrong i really like deku amoured suit and there is no doubt wil be strong enough to take on afo.level threats, .I just would have pefered it if he aleast kept the embers and had the iron deku suit to compensate or the ofa reingited somehow
i dont know, maybe i will warm up to iron man deku but im not sure really how to feel at the moment untill i sit on and think about it for a while
farewell mha
go beyond, plus ultra
I actually thought bakugou was going to die in the story but we saw all might vestige and I thought before bakugou would die he would give deku The last ember of all for one and possibly his quirk to still give a chance to be a hero
But no...

@@FunkeMunke_ Maybe Horikoshi felt rushed to end the manga for reasons
Also I had this idea of maybe like how shigaraki had physical enhancements to his body deku might’ve gotten physical enhancement due to cultivating one for all so even if he doesn’t have a quirk he would have natural super strength and stuff.
i agree as well.
Based tower of god enjoyer
Afo is gone and so OFA has no more reason to exist.
The current generation is much stronger than the previous one and Mirio DID give up on being a hero for a while and begged Eri to give his quirk back. OFA wasnt erased with her quirk it faded away naturally and Deku would never ask that of Eri.
The doomsday theory can be addressed in a sequel potentially and even then it wasn't that big of a deal because its gonna take a few generations to become an actual problem.
IMO Deku should have had some version of OFA that he would remold into being his own quirk without the vestiges.
Still not a good ending
@@morganhelms80808 cool go read something else then

Those are the exact word that comes to mind every episode that comes out

Bro, true heroism is helping without expecting anything in return. This just proved how heroic Izuku really is.
I hear ya AND AGREE ON A LOT, but a few things:
Eri
I also hate how people act like he won that fight against Overhaul, cause he didn’t.
yea fr, like he got cooked really badly

I think u should do another my hero academia 2nd generation type of thing based on the ending
@@francjameso this anime gets 8.5 out of 10 for me

The world didn’t need one, they just need heroes, relying on one man to protect the world is just impossible.
@@nightrunner4817 true, but superman is a symbol, a representation of hope. That's what Midoria could have been, imagine shit going down, all seems lost, similar to the first epi when Katsuki was grabbed by sewage man, and though terrified he desperately tries to help, then gets horribly injured, teenage Eri who he was training, tries to heal him because he refuses to flee, trying to buy his friends and civilians alike, a few more seconds to escape, breaking free from erasorhead's grip and standing by their side, in a parallel to the overhaul fight, and in doing so, rewinding injury each more severe than the last, her improved quirk usage, due to Izuku's training, accidentally sparks one for all back to life,
How's that for an ending set up?

All might proved that you don't need a quirk to be a hero. But would be nice if Deku had some quirk left. But the ending was fine. Would probably worked better if Deku was able to make the suit himself like Iron Man.
To be fair, if you’re fighting someone who can destroy a city with a flick of their fingers, you’re gonna need more than just support equipment
Hell, even Batman has super power pills for this😂😂😂😂😂
I wish Deku could've kept either the stockpiling power and nurture it into a super strength quirk (similar to All might at the start of the series), and have support gear that boosts it to a more usable level in the meantime.

I just realised... in the first chapter, Deku says that this is the story about how he became the number one hero. The timeskip showing that he never did means one of two things:
1. There might be a sequel to My hero Academia
2. Deku was lying all along.
He said how he became the greatest heroes. Not no. 1. He defeated the strongest villain in history. He became the greatest because of that.
Deku literally said “greatest” and he became the greatest hero and all might stated that in chapter 424 and it’s one thing abt ur comment:

- deku becoming a teacher 2nd things fits him ngl, works at most expensive school and its for heroes and all teachers are pro heroes so deku was also pro hero when he was quirkless like all might
- 1- deku loves ua, 2- he loves studying quirks and tells the person how to use it quirk , 3- we see that he told dia what to do with his quirk and it was trash quirk, so this is why I see being teacher fits him 2nd and after him getting the suit he is like aizawa and im happy for him.

It’s so stupid. His whole goal is to become the number one hero and he didn’t. Oh well at least it’s over now.
Like why the fuck would he do that? He didn’t have to make him quirkless again
I think it would’ve been cool if the series came back and deku gained one for all back somehow bc togata got his quirk back why can’t deku

There maybe movies on how deku loses his final embers, hopefully an Ochako and deku one and one with the adult heroes after deku get's his suit.
And shouldn't deku have at least a more strength? Like stronger than a human without a strength quirk could achieve since his body had to adapt to ofas strength or atleast and absurd physical endurance for a regular human
This final chapter was bittersweet.

Anime fans once again got hit in the face by anime sometimes being too real. Anime fans cry.
Did him dirty they could have made my boy keep a little of one for all all these years of watching MHA just for the MC to peak in high school is sad
All that build up for him to become powerless, really just waste of 10 years. Literally ends the same way it started.
Hi, I'm valmax and I want to apply for the position of video editor, having some experience, making clips for BDRares and Marshall D Preach. I will leave you some examples with my publishers and I am waiting for an answer!
We need a what if type of video with my hero academia agency please turtle quirk!!!
Like this comment if you want it too
Just give a Batman style Iron Man suit. Gezz
Im heart broken he is quirk-less this sucks he should have awaken a new or his own quirk that would be amazing ending
They could've atleast gave him a healing quirk so he could heal all that damage
Or dragon ball ending with Goku becoming weak and living on kame island
Why become a teacher? I think its better if deku isolated himself in a mountain, training himself and become the wise one among all heroes...😂
It really just seems home boy wanted to wrap up his story as soon as possible, didn’t care for this ending at all just seems like the laziest route
Yep, the 3rd part of the story makes no sense
Perhaps I’m saying this as a Toga fanboy.
thank you! All people wants is shipping, Izuku being number 1, and power ups. They don't care about what the character/s actually are. Like, have they seen the series at all?
People wouldn't expect deku and ochako to get together if hirokoshi didn't put it into the story lol she literally says she is in love with deku way back before the ending to set that up early just to never have a pay off is disappointing
The bat man ending

I swear they could have brainwashed dr garaku to copy one for all😭
So eri couldn't just rewind him back to full power?
Plothole, she could also potentially ressurect the dead too, so...?
tbfh i’m genuinely glad i dropped mha for one piece. i don’t think horikoshi is a bad writer at all i just think the mha ending might be one of the worsts ending to a hyped manga.
Good for you
I'm not a fan of One piece anyway
@@HelenaSan425 👍👍
It was bad ending 5
It’s because Horikoshi hates Deku that’s why the ending sucked so bad
@@OMORIFORXBOX tbh i wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. hori literally gave deku his dream to have a quirk, friends, attend UA, and become a hero, only for all of that to be taken away from him for nearly a decade 😭
What was the point of Deku having powers if he just loses them at the end and gets a power suit? I now agree with the people who say Deku never should have gotten powers in the first place.
Yep, would be more impactful and feel more significant in its message

Just be thankful people learnt from the AOT fanbase freak out on their ending and now everyone is chilled. Just wait for jjk
Except that mha fandom does the same so there's really nothing to be thankful about
Thompson Maria Allen Jose Miller Anthony
It would have been better if Deku had died at the end of the story.
GOOD

Good ending not bc of the good ending is bc of all that happening deku at the ending him losing ofa and being neglected by his friend that a good ending
