But sir.. in the book Paediatric Endocrinology by MEENA P DESAI its mentioned that...The conversation of corticosterone to 18OH Corticosterone is mediated by 18 hydroxylase and conversion of 18 OH corticosterone to aldosterone is by 18 oxidase..
Thank you!!

How about "Cortisone Acetate"? Where abouts in the chain would that come, and how is it synthesized?
My body doesn't produce hydro-cortisone as I don't have a pituitary gland, so I take cortisone acetate orally.
I'm curious to know how this is synthesized as well.

Sir, what would be the rate limiting step of this pathway? will it be the conversion of cholesterol in pregnenolone?
Yes for sure
If your adrenal glands are fatigued, then caffeine can cause your adrenals to overwork to make more cortisol and burns out your glands. This leads to your adrenals being weakened and less able to respond adequately. This is why coffee has less and less effect over time on people with adrenal fatigue.12 Aug 2017

Is it 21 BETA hydroxylase ..??.... ?..
21 (alpha) hydroxylase is mentioned in the book "Basic & clinical Pharmacology by Bertram G Katzung", 13th edition, Page 681 & 687. Many other books refer it simply as 21 hydroxylase.......But nowhere it is mentioned as 21 (beta) hydroxylase ......... Hope that clarifies ..........
Well delivered, but Kaplan says, It's 21 (beta) hydroxylase which converts progesterone and 17-hydroxyprogesterone to 11-deoxycorticosterone and 11-deoxtcortisol, respectively. And FA mentioned, just (21-hydroxylase). Why did you mention 21 (alpha) hydroxylase? Reference?
