I would’ve loved to have seen Elle Smith advance after the evening gown competition at Miss Universe, that Michael Cinco gown she wore for finals night was spectacular!
To me, Elle stands out. I liked seeing a different gown style for a USA contestant. Her walk and poise, stunning too. I wish Cheslie would have opted for a pop of color. The styling and gown choices washed her out. Though, the mirrored gold dress does resemble this years Miss Brazil contestant Teresa Santos.
also, i really enjoy all these new fashion content! i'd love to hear about some contestants and gown looks that inspired you throughout your pageant competing days
Please do an episode on pageant cliques and how it can either help or ruin someone’s chances. I remember this year Miss Philippines, Miss Vietnam and Miss Singapore were in the same clique and all three made it to the semis. In 2018, Miss USA, Australia and Colombia were in the same clique and their actions almost cost them their spot in the semi.
This was such a fun episode Dani! I really though Elle had it in the bag this year. SO I am so excited she went far and hope she had a good time. ALSO unrelated but sis...we need a skin routine and maybe even a makeup routine for this video bc YOU ARE GLOWING.
The last one on wearing a yellow dress and actually it was STUNNING was Kenya Moore in 1993 such an amazing dress Love, from Venezuela such a huge Miss USA fan
We like the way how you comment. Very articulate! Everyone in the house watching this a big screen have the same thoughts. You are really the best, Dani!
Fave installment so far. Information packed, lots of interesting details. Re: side trains. Erin Brady's side train was all that was mentioned about CT leading up to finals forecasting mid-tier placement.
Our country is very behind but please can you also highlight our Miss Universe Nepal contestant from 2017-2021 😍😍😍 thank you 😘😘😘 Love from Nepal ❤️❤️❤️
sherri hill gowns look their best under very specific lighting which is unfortunate cuz the miss universe stage does tend to be a little dark sometimes... hoping that this year will bring us more color in pageant gowns! i'd love to see pinks, purples, or blues
I'll go for 2017 and 2019 MUSA gown. I love white gown though they may seem simple but it gives the candidates more chance to stand out than the gowns. Like in this case you will really look or drawn more in to the candidates. I still believe that it should be the candidate who needs to be judged and not the gowns.
Loved this video. Loved all the queens. Personally, I love Kara's Miss USA gown the best of all of them and Sarah Rose's gowns for Miss Universe. I'm really excited though to see a more fabulous, customised Miss USA during the Miss Universe evening gown competition with Michael Cinco on board now ❤❤❤❤❤
My ranking of these gowns would be: 2017: MU Final > USA Prelims/Final > MU Prelims 2018: MU Prelims > USA Prelims > MU Final 2019: USA Prelims/Final > MU Prelims > MU Final 2020: USA Prelims/Final > MU Final > MU Prelims 2021: MU Prelims > MU Final > USA Prelims/Final
So Miss USA 1993 wore a yellow gown at Miss Universe (Kenya Moore) and she looked stunning! And this video is proof that Crystal Stewart wants to do better by Miss USA, which is 100% spot on! I feel bad that a lot of the contestants and winners had to be limited.....BUT that was the past! Can't wait to see what Crystal and Michael will bring to the table in the future!
Do you think a red ball gown with small gems on the bodacious cascading down the skirt, with a square neck line, is too common in teen pagents? Folowing that, is Sherri Hill woth it? ✨️💖🤔
I love Elle’s gowns during Miss Universe but it wasn’t made for her (I think), I saw someone say that those gowns were made in advance for who ever wins Miss USA 2021 because of the pageant being late.
I feel bad for 2015-2020 USA queens, I feel like they didn't really have team focused on them. I mean Asya was totally left out to dry and struggled throughout the competition. But now that the 'Miss USA Organization' actually exists and being run by Crystle, our future Miss USAs will have a fighting chance at MU! Loved the video Dani!
I am not in love with Elle's finals gown at Miss Universe. The nude part of the gown did not really match her skin tome so that kind of ruined the gown for me. I also wished that she chose a different hairstyle.
@@AazyfRoshan she should’ve stuck with her preliminary gown. It was spectacular. I think she realize the nude panel did not match her skin tone and was affected by it. I mean she practically have to go straight to Israel after being crowned and there may not have time to adjust the panels.
Great video. The nude look and the really high slits are becoming a little predictable. Who chooses the dress, the contestant herself, a coach, a sponsor?
@@DaniWalkerno tea no shade girl , I do custom pageant /competition wear ... I'm living for your videos .. I just got into them ...and I agree with alot of your assessments ... I feel like they need some more creative designers sometimes ... or maybe someone with that eye for detail ..
@@DaniWalker also I would refer to the " side train " as a side bustle or an overskirt particularly if it's full and drapey or poofy .. Just a fashion opinion 😁

Yesss a color on Cheslie 🙏🏼
My favorite dress would have to be Elle's green michael cinco gown!! The details! 😍 He did a beautiful job.
It was so unique too.

Elle Smith's gown she wore at Miss USA this year is my favorite dress.
I loved it too
Shawnae Jebbia ‘98 wore a yellow EG at MU 1998 (stunning!).

I feel the same!
Miss USA 2021's preliminary gown compliments her very well. The color of the gown matches her eyes. ☺ I like this more than the final gown.
1:03 -- Kenya S. Moore from Michigan (MUSA 1993) wore a yellow evening gown both for prelims and finals at Miss Universe 1993.

I can ☺️
@@DaniWalker excited for it!
Please do Philippines! 🥰
I wish Chesli wore her hair down for finals and I felt Elle’s final gown looked like a how the host/judge/or commentator would wear. Not a competitor
Me too :(
For me, Top 3 Miss USA Gown and Performance: 2017 Miss Universe Finals, 2019 Miss USA Finals, and 2021 Miss USA Finals
Dani u should make a video about miss usa crown over the years, also, u can show us your state crown if u still have it.
I need this for Venezuela, Thailand, Colombia, Philippines, Puerto Rico and South Africa PLEASE
:)))
Can you do gold gowns next?😍

Kenya summer Moore wore yellow too!
These Miss USA gowns are lacking some wow factor
South Africa next
Please make same episodes for other countries too
I love Elle’s gowns during Miss Universe but it wasn’t made for her (I think), I saw someone say that those gowns were made in advance for who ever wins Miss USA 2021 because of the pageant being late.
Correct. Michael already debuted the gown in one of his runway shows
@Dani Walker ... Ms USA wore a yellow velvet gown at MU1998, where Ms Trinidad & Tobago won in a white gown (ahem) :0)
Wear your BEST gown in preliminary and wear your ICONIC gown in finals.
That's great advice :)

I agree
Last yellow gown I recall was Kenya Moore 1993 Miss Universe in Mexico.
so what are the characteristics of the ideal pagent gown? Versus a prom dress or red carpet dress?
@Dani Kenya Moore wore yellow at Miss Universe in 1993!
If I remember it right Miss USA 1993 wore yellow in the Miss Universe 1993 competition.
Omg, I've also always thought that blondes look good in black gowns!
I am not in love with Elle's finals gown at Miss Universe. The nude part of the gown did not really match her skin tome so that kind of ruined the gown for me. I also wished that she chose a different hairstyle.
Exactly!!! I wanted a truly sheer panel ♥️
Yes.. that color not suit with her skin tone. Maybe yellow and silver will match her beautiful skin color
@@AazyfRoshan she should’ve stuck with her preliminary gown. It was spectacular. I think she realize the nude panel did not match her skin tone and was affected by it. I mean she practically have to go straight to Israel after being crowned and there may not have time to adjust the panels.

6:26 someone explain me what was that red thing behind?
Great video. The nude look and the really high slits are becoming a little predictable. Who chooses the dress, the contestant herself, a coach, a sponsor?
It's usually a mixture of the contestant, coaches, sponsors, and her state/national org.
Omg I was so mad when miss usa came out in the finals with that boring dress last year. I wish she had stuck to her prelims gown instead
Kyra's prelim gown isn't chiffon its white silk charmeuse
