I saw somewhere that this is a German Baptist culture. I first thought Amish because of the dress and bonnets. But like the Amish, there are still many branches within the groups. Some are extremely strict and rigid while others less so. Often head coverings reflect marital status - Conservative Jewish women completely cover their hair as soon as they are married except in front of their husbands. Reformed Jewish women don’t. I’d love to know more about these charming folks. But I’m guessing what we are seeing are subdivisions of the same group, each with their own rules. These are the nicest weddings I’ve seen - they aren’t productions. It’s about the marriage.

What does the bonnet symbolize? I see some wear it while others don’t. I watched 2 other wedding you posted with the brides wearing them I also noticed other brides had 3/4 sleeve tops almost like a jacket while she is wearing a cap sleeve dress if that just choice?

hello, the covering they were is only if they are part of the church that choices to wear. they can wear tops over their dress, and yes there are sleeves on these dresses.
