I muted my microphone halfway through the Yoshi's Crafted World teaser to sneeze, unmuted, wiped my nose, and was met with "Link, stop crying!" "I'm not crying anymore, I sneezed!" I replied. That was a good day. Then came the Samus Returns teaser like half an hour later. I just muted myself when the infant Metroid appeared on-screen by then. 😂

I love the unconventional sounds they used as instrumentation, it felt so new and left me filled with pure curiosity about what was to come with this game. This was my first Metroid. And probably the best late introduction to a classic franchise that I've ever experienced. None of my words here feel like they do my love for this game any kind of justice, it's that good, I just can't express it strongly enough.

I was thinking the same thing. Metroid Prime is still gorgeous. I love the heat shimmer that rises in front of the cannon if you fire it enough, or the way your visor fogs up when you walk through a steam vent.

Their suits hiding their true selves. Their actions scream of revenge and hatred. When I think of Samus's personality, I think of Batman's personality for they're a lot alike.

I agree Metroid Prime introduce us to the Metroid universe through Samus' eyes. While I enjoyed MP 1, who am I kidding? I loved it! but my favorite Metroid game is MP2: echoes. The atmosphere and music is what won me over. Not to mention it is literally and figuratively the darkest game in the series.
