Hello dear Gabriel. My name is also Gabriel by the way😀. It's nice you have a great time in our country and you like it a lot and I want to thank you for your great travel experiences you share with us. I live in eastern Macedonia in Kavála city which I suggest you to visit for sure also our nearby thassos island 🏝 which is remarkable. There are many places to explore in our region. My top suggestions are archeological place of fillipoi with a fantastic ancient theater 🎭 and ruins of a city where apostle Paul was imprisoned, the cave of Alistrati which is unique and huge, the old city of Kavála and many more. Enjoy your time and take care. Best regards Gabriel
@@GabrielTravelerVideos If you go there you need to spend at least two weeks, if not a month, and I'm not joking I was there a month and I didn't see all the monasteries which are GIGANTIC more like fortresses or towns. The distances between them are big, the transportation is hard, the nature is vast, there's many hidden smaller monasteries and sites from monks who wanna live completely off the grid etc. Also I know you don't like interacting with random people much but I had some genuinely interesting insights from monks living there, you could try befriending some to show you or let you film some of the more hidden treasures and artifacts that go back to early christianity or even before. There's a lot that's hidden there from plain eye, believe me. What I'm saying is please don't rush it or you won't be doing yourself or the viewers any justice. Seriously consider staying there a month and taking it slow and try and strike up conversations with locals for better access.
there is a small exotic island near lefkada and onasis island of skorpios which is called meganisi and is worth to be visited.it's more peaceful than the others ionian islands, full of trees and stunning beaches.
I was there on vacation as a 12 year old. That's 28 years ago now😅. Looks a lot like what i remember it. I only remember parts of it though. Fantastic little piece of history. A lot of tourist though, even back then.
Parga is beautiful! But i expected to see the unique villages of the region.... The closest to IOaninna - Monodendri with a charming square and great food
Porto katsiki Beach on Leukada is one of the most beautiful of all Greece with turquoise waters and white sand...its a must for everyone...@GabrielTravelerVideos
Are you still going to be diving deeper into mountain territory? As you just barely touched it. Also tiny sidenote. unfortunately you didnt visit the Vikos gorge from other sides where its the most imposing views PS. The mountains lost most snow now. this mountain beauty with the snow is best in February - April. Without snow also great but for nature. But for mountain sceneries with snow in these months is exceptional.
Gabe, I think the reason there are so many arched ceilings is because thats how the roof is held up. I think that's the principle of arch architecture.
My Dad was born just outside of ARTA not very far from Parga. More to the south West from there. Each trip I have done to Greece, always wanted to visit Parga but never did. Maybe on the next trip. Cheers for the video Gabe :)
Parga looks beautiful, that sunset, just wow! Great castle ruins, although I think there should have been a “at your own risk” sign at the other castle with the dark tunnels haha. Thanks for another great tour. 😊❤️✌️

Hi Gabriel, A genuinely nice town the weather is starting to heat up within the next few days. It's Memorial weekend-long travel and high traffic beaches business officially open in the US.
Since you are at this Preveza region (Ipiros periphery) i will just mention that a few kms (less than 1hr drive) from Parga there is Monolithi (or monolithos) beach one of the longest (sand)beaches in Europe.
What's good my brother! Gabriel. Alright alright. Craig the although slower on keeping up with literal history. Gabriel you generally have an excellent eye for examining a building's structure. But since you are American, you missed the arched ceilings. The only method to construct sturdy ceilings in the middle ages, renaissance etc - when they didn't have reinforced cement - was to make them arched. So those arched ceilings rooms were most probably warehouses etc.
I just have a dream a couple minutes ago where I go to the jungle, there are so many trees and chill situation that makes me cozy, I listened to my friend who speak English fluently like a native and I understand what she was saying but I'm little bit jealous because when I wanna try to talk or respond with I cannot, it doesn't came out of my tongue, i just ask her "how do you can speak english properly like this, your speaking absolutely perfect" she's not answered me, she just continued talking and talking and then I wake up and realize my earphone still stick up on my ear, apparently I was listening to video of listening practice but I'm getting fall asleep, it's the same experience about two weeks ago when i listened to your video and i felt asleep, and i hear you are talking, you kind of tresspasing a church in greek island and there's someone came to you and said kind of "what are you doing here, and you said i just look the church"😄

At this place of Parga the buildings are the same as 40 years ago. Parga is a place with many and big olive trees.Venetians was trading olive oil from places of the Ionian sea and planted many olive trees there.
As a greek i was always envious the way other countries (mainly European ) preserved and maintained their castles, fortress etc..And how they show them off and make good use of them as tourist attractions. Despite the fact that greek politicians are corrupted and don't care about their country and nothing will ever change growing up realise that keeping all our old structures like that (almost demolished, run down etc)gives a nice touch to the whole experience and make it from a ourist attraction a site where only explorers want to visit. There's more than 1000 castle and fortress in Greece and except 2-3 of them no one knows anything for the others.
