Hi Heidi! Thanks for all your great videos and explanations! I have a problem with this tool that create shapes from separate lines. It doesnt work in my blazer flat. the curve lines in the front and the ones in the arms still not conected (it doesnt create a shape). Do you know what I can be doing wrong ? Thank you

Great tutorial as always. But I do have one question, if you make the drawing from a photo a product from a brand that you want to imitate, then why don't just use the photo of the actual product or maybe just send the actual product to the manufacturer? I'm sorry if the question sounds silly. I'm still a beginner in fashion.

You can use the physical sample as a reference as well, BUT a tech pack + drawing is always a good idea to create and have as a reference throughout the entire process. There are a lot of people (you, the factory, the fabric supplier, etc) who need to know the details, specs, etc. A physical sample is valuable, but can only be so many places at one time and can get lost...I have seen it happen :)
Photos of this + specific detailed drawings are a much more reliable way to keep track of this and make sure everyone involved knows what the garment needs to be at any given time in the production process.
